Nice hotel friendly staff. Great value for the money. Breakfast was very good including eggs, biscuits and gravy, pancake machine, and assorted cereals, and bagels. Shopping mall and various restaurants very close by.

Hotel was nice and clean. Room was clean, just a hole in outside of bathroom door, but it didn't really affect anything. Kinda loud with kids running through the hall on the third floor, but the staff was quick with fixing the situation

Only thing bad about the hotel was after we checked in and went for a swim,we discovered the hot tub was freezing cold. we mentioned it to the desk help and they said a maintenance man was coming on monday. they could have turned it off and put a sign up.

Overall, I find the Holiday Inn/Holiday Inn Express chain to be consistently excellent. This particular experience, while not terrible, did not live up to the standards i usually expect. Two problems with the room: 1) While we received a non-smoking room as requested, the room had the distinct odor of one which had formerly been a smoking room but had […] been converted (I'm a former smoker so I can always tell.) 2) The AC/Heater unit was damaged, and it rattled all night as it cycled on and off every few minutes. We booked this room for a safe overnight stay after a New Year's Eve party, so needless to say we returned to the room very late and too exhausted to address the issue with hotel staff once we discovered the problem. To the credit of the staff and management, they were very responsive an apologetic when we reported the issue the next morning, and they have promised some form of reimbursement once the corporate offices reopen, and all other aspects of our stay met the level of excellence we have come to expect from HIE. Priority Club member since 1983; #100 503 334. My job requires a great deal fo travel. This was my first time at this Holiday Inn location and I found it to be a very busy area. A comment was made to me that has never been made to me at a Holiday Inn property since 1983. I had reserved a King Room for my wife and I on line with hotels.com, and provided […] my Priority Club Card to the person checking me in. I was asked if I would be willing to take a double Queen room instead of a King Room implying there were no King Rooms available. I explaned my wife would be joining me soon and had reserved a King room. What I was told next was interesting. I was told that there were still a number of guests still not checked in and would I be willing to take a double Queen Room instead of the King Room. Rather than be confrontational in front of others waiting I agreed; but I'm still baffeled at the motivation of this young lady to offer me this option because I was checking in before other reservations. My first room was right next to a family with 3 small children who ran around and jumped and stomped and made all kinds of noise. The front desk moved me to a different room right away. That room would have been perfect, except for the heater and the curtains. Every time the heater cycled on, the fan was so loud, it woke me up every 5 minutes or so. […] So I did not sleep well. If you are a light sleeper, I would check first, if the fan in the room is quiet or loud. It makes a big difference. As do the curtains. They don't keep out enough light for me. I like a nice, dark room. The bed was extremely comfortable. Room was immaculate. Staff was great and responded quickly. Very close to all must-see sights. Right across the street from the mall. Entry into the hotel is confusing, it's an accident waiting to happen. The room was prepaid, but the room we thought we had was double booked. We got a handicapped accessible room, the bathroom was completely uncomfortable, the floor guard was not attached causing water to run all over the floor. The room was completely too small for a king size bed. […] There were 2 cars blocking a large part of the parking lot trying to jump start another car. The morning staff included a guy dressed in a hoodie over his head and very large ear rings. He shuffled in and out of the breakfast area getting coffee and donuts. It looked the like the woman taking care of the breakfast area had her family in and was feeding them breakfast. Checkout is at noon. This was a nice hotel for the price, rooms were clean and staff was friendly. My only issue is their was some parking lot changes going on and the front desk called our room at 8:00 on Sunday morning to have my sister move her car. I would've preferred that they roped off the back parking lot the night before so no one would've parked there, instead […] of calling every member of the hotel first thing in the morning. Staff acted as if we were an inconveniece to them and they were not helpful. We had to wait for them to appear at check in and were somewhat upset. At breakfast there was no one to help but we arrived ten minutes before the end, so maybe we were too late for service.

The only draw-back from my experience is that my room was right above the front door of the hotel. So I heard every car pull up, people unloading their luggage, and talking, laughing, arguing, etc. In addition to that noise, the hotel plays music right above the front door with outdoor speakers. I heard it through my closed windows, because it was so […] loud, I asked the front desk if they could turn down the music and they did, immediately, and were very, very nice about it. Even though this hotel said breakfast was complimentary and served until 9:30am, if you weren't there by 8:45 am, you didn't have too many choices. The hotel refused to refill items. There were 15-20 people needing breakfast and the only items available was stale cereal and break, a few sausage links and bisquits and gravy. The eggs were not refilled. […] The pancake machine was not refilled. Everyone wanted pancakes and they refused to refil the machine. Very nice people, that checked me in, but when I checked out no one was around. The lights were off by the service desk. The cleaning lady end up helping me out . One of the exit doors by room 101 was broken. it was easy access to get in and out and night. That's not safe. please get the door fixed

The hotel was comfortable. Hot-tub was out of service when we were there but the room was fine. TV old with bad tube. I guess it wasn't perfect but I slept well and got what we needed for an overnight stay. Coffee tasted good. Breakfast better than many.

Had non smoking room but smelled of smoke we were told that the smoke can travel thru the vents from the smoking rooms. Better choices in other hotels were full so we had to continue our stay.

I reserved two rooms through hotels.com. The rooms were supposed to be two beds non-smoking. We got one smoking with one king bed and one non-smoking with two beds. Both rooms were on the third floor and the entire third floor smelled like smoke. The non-smoking room was every bit as bad (smelling) as the smoking room. We requested a non-smoking room and after getting up to our room we realized we had received a smoking room. The smell was awful so we went back down to the desk to request a different room. Our room was switched with someone's room who had not checked in yet. While at the desk, a gentleman who had just checked in came back to the desk and told the […] employee that the room he had been given was already taken. He had walked into the room and the lights were on and there was luggage in the room. Luckily, no one was in the room at the time. On the second night, we arrived back to the hotel late and our key card wouldn't work. We were tired and had brought food back. We went down to the front desk and the clerk did whatever she needed to do. We went back up and the key cards still didn't work. We had to go back down to the desk and this time there was another clerk who greeted us with a towel wrapped around her head because she just came out of the pool. Very unprofessional. She fixed our key cards and we were able to enter our room. Hotel was clean except there was a dead spider on the ceiling over the shower that remained there for our 2 night stay. Läs mer

Loved the proximity to the mall and I-55. Although the hotel was full, our room was extremely quiet, very clean, and super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was really outstanding for a hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer!
