It was a pretty good hotel. Nice and clean rooms. Nice quality for the price per room I paid. The neighboorhood wasn't the best, didn't have a lot of places to eat or shop. But not that far away from downtown with either car or bus. I would recommend this place to a friend if they wanted a nice and clean hotel on the cheap.

I booked the most cheap room on a special deal. Probably got the most poor room they have for this price. This hotel is average but has good value for the location. Other hotel on walking distance from center are more expensive. The staff working are friendly and the rooms are big with fairly good beds, big kitchen area, really big refrigerator. It is very easy to get to the hotel with the car. First night I got a room with an air condition with high noise vibration sound. The hotel was full so there was no possibility to change room. Not a big disaster - I could sleep OK and next day I got a new room. The hotel started to work on fixing the AC directly so I believe this was just bad luck. The new room was silent and good but there was ants in the bathroom and also some other big insect when I got home at night. Nothing in the room itself though. Last night and I did not want to mess and change room again. No problem from this. The hotel is just on the other side of the bridge from city center. The "bat bridge" is less than 5 minutes walking away. Easy to have a look at 10 thousands of bats flying out in the evening and then go out. If you like the music scene it is 20-30 minutes to walk (or 5 minutes with cab for ~$5) across the bridge up to 6th street and surrounding areas with lots of music bars. I would consider this hotel again if I couldn't find a really good deal with the hotels on the other side of the river. I would however try to get a room not on the bottom floor and maybe pay a few extra dollar to get away from the cheapest rooms.

"Very satisfied"
The room was very clean. I had a very nice stay at your hotel.
Luckily I was able to find a cheaper rate on hotels.com. This hotel and all the hotels in the area are WAY overpriced. It's in a decent downtown area of Austin, but not worth the standard pricing.
"Practically on top of the Bat Bridge"
I stayed at this hotel, while attending a conference nearby. The location was great. I had no idea the famed Congress St Bat Bridge was directly adjacent to the hotel, until seeking out the bridge (unfortunately, almost no bats to be seen in April). "Meh"
For the price, its just fair. Our room wasnt ready at 3 so I had to drive around for an hour with my 6 months old to kill some time (which is not fun after 5hrs of driving to begin with) I could feel every spring in our bed so I didnt sleep well. "Convient but over priced for event"
Very close to Moody Theatre and other places downtown. I understand all of the hotels raise their prices for big events but this one almost doubled! Hotel employees exceptionally nice but I find that to be true of Austin. TGI Friday's is on site restaurant. Good food. Open late.
Great hotel, super quiet, upgrade to lake-view room was worth it although we never saw the bats! It was good to have Starbucks in the lobby although we did not eat at TGIF because we don't like the food.
"Nice Resort Style Hotel"
Starbucks, and TGI Fridays were in the lobby of the hotel. Garage parking, and pool, easy access to town lake and beautiful back yard by town lake. We booked this hotel last minute and it was well worth it. The staff was friendly, the rooms clean and the price was right.

I will not be a hipocrite and say its an ugly hotel, because its not but I have my share of things to say about it. The hotel is located in downtown, thats nice. The hotel bed is comfortable, yes but aside from that it leaves a lot to be desired. The bathroom is run down, Ive seen better from the Holiday Inn and thats sad. If i had not checked my credit card I would have never known so I had to call the Radisson and ask them what the hell! They refunded that bogus charge but it should not have happened in the first place! The hotel is very "businessy" not much comfort for a family or a couple looking for a romantic weekend. Was conveniently located in downtown Austin. Only two things I would change: (1) the wireless access was sometimes slow, (2) I originall booked for two nights but later wanted to stay a third night. Really good location, you can walk anywhere and great views of the river from our room. Room was nice and big and the bed was really comfortable. Self parking was easy and hotel had good facilities. Good, safe spot in Austin to stay.
"ROOM SHOOK WITH NOISE WELL PAST 1AM"
We had a miserable experience with this hotel. Check in - no problem, we dropped our bags and were off. We returned around 9PM to a room on the 8th floor where music coming from so where was so loud our windows were shaking. It felt like we were in a rave, not a hotel room, and the staff was nonchalant. They sent the parking attendant to the room to […] check on the noise (short staffed?!) and he said it was worse than anything he had ever heard. They were booked and weren't able to switch rooms. Miserable, miserable night. Thank goodness we had plans to move to another hotel. We left as soon as we could to take a nap in our new hotel room. "Great hotel"
Room is comfy. Gym is great. Trail and lake right behind it and walk distance to all bars. The only error was not making a wake up call and they have a no noise policy and even checked on us when it was 2 people talking at 3 in morning
"It was so-so"
This hotel is not cheap. A couple of nits: So I guess when you include a refrigerator in the room and a microwave, it makes it a suite? Seems to be the logic here. But there wasn't enough room or plugs for these items. Crazy. The threshold to the bathroom had a half inch of nothing before the carpet. "Wonderful Hotel and Stay"
The hotel was very clean. We loved having a restaurant and coffee bar right in our hotel. We also were treated to live music in the lobby while relaxing by the fireplace. "Great Location"
If you are going to Austin to enjoy the music and clubs this is a great location. You can walk to everywhere very easily but it is not too noisy. It also included the price of self parking which can be pricey in downtown Austin. Having a Starbucks in the lobby is always a plus as well.

Nice (and enormous) room, good location, very courteous bellhops. Food and wine quality extremely disappointing, however. Very nice to have a Starbucks on premises.

The Radisson was an excellent choice of hotel for a quick getaway from home. We live in Hutto, TX, and were looking for a night on the town in Austin. The Radisson was able to provide the perfect location that put us close to everything that downtown Austin has to offer.

Staff was helpful & friendly. Great location to explore downtown Austin. Very clean, I did NOT find any bed bugs thank God! Absolutely loved that there is a full Starbucks on site! <3

"Radisson hotel conveniently located in downtAustin"
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We had an emergency where we left a previous hotel to come stay here at the radisson and the staff was very helpful and friendly. It's also a great location near downtown Austin but we could still get some rest without hearing all the fun that was happening. Very clean environment and neatly set up.

Crappy SleepNumber bed (essentially a glorified air mattress), disinterested customer service, billed for valet service we never requested nor used.

"Lovely location and view from Lakeview Rooms"
I was a bit concerned with the lower review score of this hotel but was pleasantly surprised. It has Starbucks in the spacious lobby and lots of aquariums with fish, which makes for a very pleasant ambiance. We had a Lakeview room on the 11th floor, which had a great view. (I don't think the cityview is good---there are some very tall buildings right […] across the hotel on the city side which may block the view.)
