Hotell Miramare E Castello Hotel - Ischia

We stayed there for two nights in July 2012. I wouldn't say it's a fivestar hotel due to small rooms not very updated, lack of service by the pool and in the bar and very noisy (you heard when neighbours went to the bathroom and people walking and talking in the corridor. Very nice hotel, very good service, view and ok food. Ok gym - would have been great with ac...- and ok rooms. Charming older style of the hotell. Very good price, location and service. Especially from the bartender Pepe who even booked table for us and tild us about what to see on the Island. Mikael O

The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helped us plan our daily excursions around the island. The hotel was located near the old town and castle area. We could spend all day sitting at the hotel looking over the sea and castle. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

the hotel was amazing! we lucked out and were upgraded to a "Superior" room, with incredible views of both the castle and the sea.. the hotel staff were extremely kind and helpful; the service was great. the hotel lobby was really beautiful. the hotel room itself was a little oddly decorated, but the views by far made up for it.

We really enjoyed our stay. Whilst it was rated as a 5 star hotel, there were areas where it fell short of the mark. The outstanding feature of the hotel was the staff. Surprisingly most of the staff spoke English (I had read that this was not the case). The restaurant was very good, although expensive if you were to have the majority of courses on […] offer. The breakfast was also good. The standard hotel bedrooms were, though, small, very tired and the bathrooms well below standard. The hotel had a small outside pool, a good deck area for sunbathing and it's own small beach area. There was also an indoor pool we didn't use, which looked too small to use for exercise. It was also well located for the sights of Ischia Ponte and Port. Frankly this was not up to the norm of international 5 star hotels, but I suspect that it was nearly as good as it gets on Ischia. All the the staff was very pleasant except for one particular concierge named Vincenzo. He was an older gentleman who clearly had issues with women. He was rude and unhelpful. He also gave us the worse room in the hotel.

We had a perfect experience at Miramare & Castello. You must stay in room 103, its a corner suite with large terrace w/ table, chairs & bed. Perfect for lounging & relaxing, with views of the ocean (you are right ON the ocean) and the castle. Private beach, pool & rooftop jacuzzis. Walk or short cab ride to Ischia Porto where all the shops, restaurants […] are, or local neighborhood has good places to eat as well. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again!! A lovely hotel, right on th beach near Ischia Ponte, the bridge which leads to the Aragonese castle. Our room had a wonderful view of the sea and the castle, and at night, there is a beautiful view of the lights of Naples across the bay.The hotel itself is very clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated and had all the facilites expected of a superior […] hotel. We didn't have dinner in the hotel, as there are lots of little restaurants around, but the breakfast was excellent. The staff we spoke to were all very pleasant and helpful, and were happy to answer our questions about travel and places to see. staff are all working very hard to make us comfatable stay. Hotel facilities and private beach are totally superb. Thank you for the special rate which make us very happy too. One down side is the room space were bit small for longer stay and it was hard to use the closet for that reason. The room was extremely small and there was barley enough room to walk around the bed. The room needed to be painted and brushed up. It was defiantly not a five star standard room. I would rate it closer to 2 stars. The parking was a nightmare however the staff was nice and the location was great.

This hotel, which I have stayed at maybe 20 times over the past dozen years, has had several management and staff changes which have had a very negative impact. A storm 3 years ago washed away most of the beach. The wifi is now free, which is a big improvement. The restaurant is WAY overpriced. But the O Sole Mio restaurant is 100m away and is really […] great. The front desk is really not up to the price the hotel charges for rooms. The staff speaks very little english, does not know much about their jobs, such as auto rentals, and has no appropriate postage stamps. The elevator broke and for 10 hours we had to climb 4 stories of steps to our room. The breakfast buffet is quite good. Just do not ask for an American Coffee. Mine tasted so metallic I could not drink it. But you can order espresso and capucino as part of the breakfast and they are quite good. The hotel is clean and the lobby is quite nice. Läs mer

Very good hotel in almost every regard except that there was only WiFi in the common lobby area, not available in the rooms. Of course, you really should be swimming and suntanning anyway, so perhaps this doesn't concern you. Other than that - wonderful location, staff, very helpful and very nice.

Прекрасный отель, расположение, завтраки. Очень доброжелательный и отзывчивый персонал. Ощущение заботы и внимания, праздника! Всем рекомендую. Вечером можно прогуляться на ужин до порта по пешеходной улочке с бутиками. Много ресторанов со свежайшей рыбой и морепродуктами в порту. Восторг!

Siamo stati lì per il 10° anniversario del matrimonio... Cominciamo dai minus. Ottimo albergo 5* con camere però da 4*. A sua discolpa va detto che l'albergo è ristrutturato e ha cambiato gestione di recente, e... si vede. L'impegno che ci mettono è massimo, il servizio è curatissimo e attento, la reception è di alto livello, i camerieri educatissimi […] e riservati (soltanto il barman fa da "animatore", ma è romagnolo...). Gli spazi comuni sono di alto livello e ben arredati, benchè siano molto pulite meno curate son le camere (troppo piccole e bagni non all'altezza di un 5*). PLUS La vista mare è meravigliosa, val la pena quindi di spendere qualcosa in più e farsi dare le camere superior vista mare. La vista di Procida e dell'isolotto con il Castello proprio davanti è mozzafiato. Non perdete all'alba il sole che sorge dietro l'isola di Procida... La colazione è ricchissima e ben curata (ingredienti freschi) e può essere servita in riva al mare. Val la pena cenare a lume di candela in riva al mare (anche se il conto è un pò... salato), ma non l'abbiamo provato, perchè siamo stati sempre in giro. La piscina esterna è piccola ma carina, bello lo spazio relax con i lettini vista mare. SPA. piscina piccola e poco curata e idromassaggio rumoroso (l'impianto è vecchio e le valvole di areazione dei getti creano un risucchio terribile), bella e funzionale la grotta di vapore, zona massaggi ben curata (ma non ho provato). Abbiamo trascorso un week end in questo hotel. La posizione è ottima con un panorama mozzafiato. La permanenza è stata molto piacevole grazie anche alla cortesia e alla disponibilità di tutto il personale. Le camere sono abbastanza spaziose e da quelle vista mare si gode di una vista meravigliosa. Consigliato l'aperitivo in riva al mare nel tardo pomeriggio […] durante il quale si potrà ammirare il castello aragonese che si trova proprio di fronte al castello.
