Vi skulle få ett nyrenoverat, men det var inte färdigställt så vi fick ett större rum utan extra kostnad. Väldigt rent och rymligt rum. Nära till bushållsplats för utflykter till t.ex. Diamond Head och Hanauma Bay. Gångavstånd till stranden men för att komma till den "finare" stranden får man gå en bit. Annars helt klart perfekt hotell för att uppleva waikiki!

VI är jättenöjda med vår vistelse på Waikiki Marina Resort. Det var bra läge, nära till stranden och nära till shoppingcenter. Rummen hade bra standard och med eget kök och fräscht badrum. Personalen var jättetrevlig och hjälpsam. Rekommenderar verkligen det här hotellet!

Ett fint hotell med många poler, aktiviteter och restauranger. Fantastikt läge på stranden samt nära till butiker och uteliv. Detta hotel är väldigt stort men har en känsla att vara mindre Trevligt!.

Waikiki Sand Villa Hotel ligger i stadsdelen Waikiki i Honolulu, nära International Market Place, Waikiki Beach och Diamond Head. I närheten finns även Honolulu Zoo och Waikiki Aquarium.

Turistnäringen på Waikiki började 1901 då Moana Surfrider slog upp portarna. Idag finns här fler än 30 000 hotellrum i skyskraporna längs de gyllene sandstränderna på Waikiki Beach. Perfekt läge vid kanalen, och bara ett par minuters promenad från stranden. Bussar går från nästa block och är ett perfekt sätt att ta sig runt ön. Hotellet har ett snabbt WiFi nät och är i övrigt trevligt med helt OK mat i puben. Frukosten är väldigt enkel, men kan lätt kompletteras med youghurt och pålägg från ABC butik vid nästa block. Hotellet har rymliga rum med kyl och har nära till det mesta inom turistområdet (Waikiki). Spartansk frukost. Ordentlig rengörning av rummen varje dag. Helt klart värt sitt pris.
"Sand Villa - bra läge men slitet."
Bra läge med enbart några minuters promenad till stranden och restaurangstråken. Hotellet som sådant lämnar en del övrigt att önska. T.ex galonförsedda sängar (!) och ljudliga kylskåp. Påpekade brister renderade i ett smidigt rumsbyte och personalen upplevdes som samarbetsvillig under hela vistelsen. Frukosten är minst sagt skral men så är det på många […] ställen. Jag och min man bodde på hotellet i åtta dagar och har inget att klaga på. Städningen sköttes perfekt, läget var helt okej, Waikiki är ju inte så stort. Det enda som hände som vi blev lite sura över var när vi skulle hyra en film på hotell-tvn och fel film valdes pga att fjärrkontrollen hängde sig. Hotell som är prisvärt nära Waikiki beach och shopping område. Trevlig personal. Frukosten som ingick var ett skämt (bröd UTAN pålägg) och kuddarna var extremt obekväma. Utöver det bra läge och billigt.
Bra hotell sett till priset. Sov gott här under mina första nätter på Hawaii innan jag åkte till andra delar av ön. Gratis trådlös internet, bra mat i restaurangen och en trevlig personal höjer betyget.

Bra läge ca 300m från Waikiki beach. Trevligt hotell med normalstora rum. Vi hade balkong mot kanalen vilket var fint. Frukost med the, kaffe, rostat bröd, marmelad, annanasjuice och annanasbitar ingår. Bord finns både inne och ute. Gratis internet med bra signal uppskattades av tonårssonen liksom det lilla gymmet med löpband, cykel, träningsmaskin […] och gymnastikmattor. Hyfsat stor pool och solstolar i tillräcklig mängd, de flesta turister väljer nog att sola vid stranden. Många bra restauranger i närområdet och bästa tänkbara shoppingområdet finns utmed strandgatan och in mot Honolulu (norr ut). Hotellet har en välbesökt bar med mat och dryck till bra pris, öppen från 9 på morgonen till ca 3 på natten. Tvättmaskin finns om du behöver tvätta. Om du har en begränsad budget är detta ett mycket prisvärt alternativ. Personalen var alltid trevliga och hjälpsamma och när vi blev försenade 2 nätter pga stängd flygplats i Frankfurt fick vi pengarna tillbaka. Inte något lyxhotell precis, påminner lite om billiga hotell i London. Rummen är lite slitna men städningen är perfekt. Sängarna är ok men inte mer. Det som gör hotellet till så prisvärt är personalens servicekänsla. Att det ligger ett kvarter bakom gatorna där det händer är bara skönt. "Perfect for the price and location"
Rooms are kinda small but for the price,location and how clean and comfortable the room was it is worth it. Pool area awesome. Definetly would stay in the studio next time. If you can get a corner room facing the beach - great view and more balcony space. Restaurant open way into the a.m. Would recommend this place and will return.
"Bed was too hard, AC didn't work proper."
The bed was hard as a rock. Had a hard time sleeping. Ac thermostat was set to 65 but barely reached 74. Woke up sweating both nights. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the staff and liked the price and location.
Very good for the price. We needed a one night stay when we got onto the island. Good location, away from the general noise which doesn't stop all night closer to the beach. "The hotel room is dirty"
Say was good as I tried to stay out of the hotel room most of my time. As the hotel room is not in same building as Waikiki Sand Villa hotel but in Aloha Surf Condo, a very little is taken care of in terms of clienlyness of the room, the stinks all the time even after keeping the door open for an entire night.
I thought it was comfortable considering the construction going on. Was able to use the pool and jaccuzi which was relaxing. Confusing staying in one hotel and trying to call another for service, like extra towels or room service for food. Parking should be included in the price of the hotel room.

Best part of Hotel was the the FOOD and it was cheap!! And being 2 blocks away from beach was nice. I would reccomend this hotel if you dont care about being fancy, it met our needs. It was family friendly. Pool was nice, deepest was 4ft. great for young kids. "Sand Villa - Great location but room uncomfortable"
I went on a trip with 2 girlfriends and we rented a room at the Sand Villa - reserving the room w/3 twin beds. My only complaint about the Sand Villa is about the beds. The beds in our room were the most uncomfortable beds that my friends and I have ever slept in. The most we could endure in the beds was about 6 hours. We wanted to stay off the main road of Waikiki and this place was perfect. It has a great pool and is near the canal. The breakfast is really just toast and a cup of fruit so don't make your decision based on this (we only ate breakfast there once). It's just a few blocks from the beach. The rooms aren't great but comfortable if you aren't looking for […] the high end type feel. We enjoyed the stay there. We were able to walk to a local Safeway and stock up on fruits and snacks and store in the mini-fridge. Great way to safe on some money! I was not expecting a bi-lingual experience at this hotel, but enjoyed it once I saw the Japanese translations everywhere and the Japanese-style toilets!

"Poor Service and Poor Room"
The room quality was poor. The bed was uncomfortable and had an old hard matress that was bent at the edge. The toilet seat was too small. The air was controlled by an unknown mechnaism and oyu could not turn up or make the air cooler. The refrigerator in the room did not operate to cold and would not keep items cold enough. It was on old cheaply made […] refrigerator. The remote control for the television did not work. I thought it was the battery and they came and changed batteries and it still did not work so i could not even watch the television. The front desk personnel after 3pm was rude and inattentive. It did not feel safe the lay out of the hotel as anyone could access the entrance wiht no screening as the front desk was off to the far right and oyu could access elevators wihtout being seen by the one inattentive an duncaring front desk clerk who worked by himself after 3 pm. "Waikiki Sand Villa Hotel"
The hotel was lower priced, clean and comfortable. The service was great. We enjoyed being two blocks from the beach. You can walk along the canal. We met some nice families there, too. The breakfast is very light. My daughter thought her single bed was hard. Our double bed was fine. I look forward to going back.

For the price a very good value. Parking was reasonable and street parking is available nearby if you can catch an open space which we did several days. Friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of hot water and AC ran well. Comfortable beds. Reasonably priced but limited menu at the restaurant. Included continental breakfast not bad, again considering price. Waikiki Sand Villa was overall a good experience. If you are looking for a cheap hotel in a great location a few blocks from Waikiki Beach, and satisfactory rooms, this is your hotel.
Comfortable place, great location. The bar seems to be popular with locals, especially during happy hour.

Good hotel:it was exactly as we thought it would be.Not 5 star but we weren't paying 5 star rates. The bed was comfortable and the room was small and clean (but dated).The continental breakfast was minimal but easily supplimented with purchases from the ABC store nearby. Our room faced the street and was noisy due to street activity (especially the […] tour vans with their reverse "beeping" sound).The hotel was a quick 5 minute walk to the beach. They are very into being "Green" with their energy. You have to use your room key to activate the electronics in your room. I thought that was a smart idea, it should be used in most if not all hotels.

Hotel service is so bad. It charges $21 in parking and to make it worse, the only parking option is valet parking, so every time you ask the valet to get the car, you need to pay $2 or more in tip. Hotel's complementary breakfast is the worst and the breakfast room is so crowded. Timing is poor. I wish they would have charged extra and given nice breakfast […] like the hotel I stayed in Maui. Good location, but bad service! After check-out, I found I left my watch in the hotel room and called the front dest many times. Every time i was told they would check the room and call me back in a few minutes, but they never call me back.
"Great location"
Our room floor was very dirty. The air conditioning did not work at all. Pool water was so dirty, that we did not even think of swimming in it until later it was cleaned and also good for swimming. Jacuzzi was very nice. Be aware this hotel charges a deposit during your stay on your credit card and the shuttle to the airport is not free!

The room, with modern energy-saving features, was very clean and the hotel was conveniently located. The bed was stiff and hard, and the "high-speed" wireless was excruciatingly slow. I might stay there again, but it wouldn't be my first choice
