Väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Fina rena och tysta rum, vi bodde i ett executive room. Men framför allt jättesköna sängar vilket är väldigt viktigt för mej.

Bra service, trevlig personal som gärna hjälper till. Speciellt en person i reception som var mycket tillmötesgående. Dåligt läge, ca 30min gångavstånd till city. Har man bil spelar läget ingen roll. Då går det väldigt snabbt att köra in till stan. Frukosten var endast ok. Viss variation men kunde varit bättre.

Bra hotell med god standard. Allt enligt vad hotels.com hade lovat. Även bra att få en bekräftelse från hotels.com någon dag innan ankomst att allt är korrekt. Tack för en god vistelse.

Hela hotellet och personalen verkade trött. Ett glas vin hälldes upp från en flaska som stog i en låda bredvid en drickakyla, och vinet var säkert 35 grader varmt. Med kork i vinet. Trådlösa internet fungerade sporadiskt och frukosten var liksom utplacerad hipp som happ, utan tanke. The hotel is a very nice hotel with all extra equipment needed.

Kan verkligen inte rekommendera detta hotell av den enkla anledningen att det finns många andra hotell i samma prisklass som är väldigt mycket bättre. Jag råder er istället att testa Radisson Blu 1919 Hotel. Ungefär samma pris men: 1)Mycket bättre läge, 2)Mycket trevligare personal 3)Mycket bättre rum, 4)Mycket bättre frukost och 5) Vattnet luktar inte […] svavel Vill ni slippa betala ett högt pris för ett hotel med taskig service och långt ifrån centrum bör ni inte boka in er här. /Jakob Läs mer

The hotel probably rates the 4 star rating but we rated it higher because of the support staff. They were absolutely fabulous. Not sure if applicable but the one sort of sour taste on Iceland was Iceland Air. If Iceland is really interested in tourism then they have a fabulous way to get people to Iceland via Iceland Air. Differentiate. Make Iceland […] Air better than the rest. Include meals of Iceland flavour, drinks etc in the ticket. The cost is minor, increase the fare by a little bit, they would still be very competitive. Following the US/British model of charging for everything leaves them open to price only being the difference so they have to discount.. Thanks Läs mer

Hotel was clean and friendly but didnt get everything right... The didnt give us our wake up call and we almost missed our bus/flight. They had no up to date information for organising tours and we had to phone a travel agent on our own as they couldnt do it. Plus the breakfast was a little basic. The hotel was slightly out of the city, about a 30 minute walk but we had a car so it was convenient for us. It is a superb hotel, great rooms, very clean. Breakfast was very good with both hot and cold options and the chance to make your own waffles! We have a couple of critisms is that we had a room with windows that faced into the main reception […] area, it was quite noisy and we were woken up on a couple of occasions in the early hours, I think the large reception area must have had accoustic quality as we were quite high up on the 4th floor. In addition I was quite insulted to be asked for a residency tax on check out that we were not told about. Whilst this was only approx 200 krona (£1.20ish) it seemed really petty for a 4 star hotel to charge it. We also found the staff to be a bit miserable. The room was very comfortable and the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was a 20 minute walk from downtown which would be pretty in the summer but in the winter it was a little too far. Cabs are expensive so if you are planning on spending a lot of time downtown, you might want to get a hotel there. We stayed at this hotel to […] attend the New Year's Eve Gala and had a blast! This is a great hotel with very nice rooms and great service. It is quite expensive to eat within the hotels except for the included breakfast which is good enough. The location is remote to everything and taxicabs are very expensive. Its 20 dollars each way to the closest and largest mall Kriinland. It's about 30 dollars to the harbour area and most […] of the good restaurants and quaint shopping in the downtown area. Lee says get a car if you stay at the grand. This weekend we were 8 girls on the trip to Reykjavik, we stayed 4 persons in one room, little bit small for 4 person, but it was wreally cheep and ok. Hotell is great, great service, great claning and very nice breakfast buffet. 15 min walk to the centrum, and 10 min walk to outdoors bath with geothermal water, were we tokk a bath in minus 6 c (outdoors), […] but temperature in water was around 37, great expirience, nice that it was clouse to hotell. I recently stayed at the Grand during a short vacation to Iceland. The hotel is well run, and my room was spotless. However, the complementary breakfast left something to be desired. Food was average, and service was spotty. The front desk employees were extremely helpful. One major negative is its' location. While convenient for the business traveler, […] it is out of the way for a tourist. The cabs are very expensive and cost between $20 to $25 dollars for a 10 minute ride. We spent 3 wonderful days and nights in Iceland at the Grand Hotel. The Hotel and staff was wonderful The hotel is very beautiful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Iceland.

We stayed for a week at this hotel and had a very comfortable nights' sleep every night. The front desk staff were fantastic - very nice and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. So that was all good. However. The breakfast buffet never changes and gets a bit boring after a couple of days, and the food in the restaurant at night was very expensive […] and the service pretty non-existent (we only did this once - there are fantastic restaurant options in Reykjavik but they are all a taxi ride from this hotel). It's the little details that make a hotel stay great and this hotel lacks those little details. It's far from downtown and when asked about getting back to the hotel later in the evening they just said walk or take or take a cab. And cabs are really expensive in reykjavik. The internet in the rooms is not free, if you want free WiFi you have to go down […] to the lobby. The rooms look like they are decorated from ikea, and not appealing at all. The food from the free breakfast was not that good, eggs were like rubber, and the room service was no better. For the price of this hotel you have high standards and they just didn't meet them. Although the hotel was clean and comfortable, I would much rather stay in a charming hotel in Reykjavic rather than this larger more business-like hotel. Fortunately, we were able to find parking for our car when we went into the city to restaurants. I would much prefer a smaller boutique hotel to really feel the character of a place you visit.

The folks at the front desk were very professional, courteous and helpful. Took care of our every need, including setting up our tours, without a hitch. We arrived after an over-night flight, but three hours before check-in. The young lady at the front desk saw the jet lag in our faces and had a room ready within 10 minutes of our arrival. The hotel […] is about 15-20 minutes from the city center, but there is a spectacular walk along the water on the way to downtown. You might miss it if you're staying downtown. And if a 15-20 minute walk is too strenuous, you should probably be visiting your cardiologist instead of Iceland. The maid service left a little to be desired, but was only a small drawback in otherwise excellent one-week stay. The reception staff was so kind- we decided to add a room to our reservation and they moved bookings around to get us two rooms close by. Our Jr Suite room was on the 7th floor and had a wonderful view over old town and the water. The only draw back was it was a bit of a walk into the old city. Cut my hand on a glass in the room. When reported the Staff were, unusually, v.rude. Problems with the electrics in the room (hair dryer didn't work and there was some issue with the plug for the Iron). Didn't replace glasses and coffee as we used them. Not the level of service we'd expect for the Junior suite.

They really needed to make sure they cleaned out the safe properly.

Great hotel. not downtown but just a ten minute walk away. the room was beautiful and had a real queen size bed not like most of the holtels had two single beds shoved together. good breakfast buffet and the desk clerks were helpful and pleasant. also a cheap shuttle from the airport.

Great location, staff, room, breakfast. This hotel is so very well done. Price is competitive with others in the area where we have stayed, but the accommodations are much nicer. Breakfast was an extensive buffet and included in the room cost. Will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful hotel and beautiful rooms. Very friendly staff. But the internet did not work in my room and I had to change rooms. There was no problem changing rooms once they realized the internet was broken. In the new room the fridge did not work. So.. Excellent Service. I arrived 4 hours before check in and i asked if i could leave my bags. They offered to find me a room early free of charge. Staff where friendly and helped book tours/trips and the breakfast was of a high standard. Large room with great views over the city. Nice big plasma tv and excellent bathroom facilities. Bien dans l'ensemble. Un point de détail non négligeable : il n'y a qu'un distributeur de savon liquide situé près du lavabo, donc il faut en mettre dans un verre avant de prendre la douche. Pas normal pour un hôtel de ce standing.

Vi fikk rom inn mot resepsjonen. Dermed var det ikke mulig å åpne vinduer. Våre medreisende hadde rom ved siden av, og der ble det veldig varmt om natten. Den "viften" som er montert under taket virket ikke, og da de fikk tildelt en kjølevifte, var denne i heller dårlig forfatning (bråkte slik at det ikke var mulig å ha den på om natten). Det var absolut ikke det vi forventede af 4 stjerner. Havde vi betalt fuldt pris ville vi have ´klaget over standarden

Veldig flott hotell i utkanten av Reykjavik! Lønner seg å ha bil, dersom man skal farte litt rundt. Hotellet har stor, gratis parkeringsplass. Stort romt (tre små dobbelt senger) og flott bad. Frokost var inkludert, helt enkel. Ferske rundstykker, og pålegg av forskjellig slag. I tillegg var det havregrøt og selvsteking av vaffler. Anbefales!

Det er for dårligt ar man skriver at der er Fitness room, og der derefter oplyses at der eeer under renovation, det har det nu været i 3/4 år og der vil ikke vare mulighed for det det næste meget lange stykke tid, da det faktisk er nedlagt.

　ビジネス目的で１週間滞在しました。当初、エグゼクティブシングルで依頼したのですが、同時に部屋でのWifi使用を希望したら、それに配慮される形で２階のツインルームを用意されました。２階なら無料のWifiもつながるとの配慮でしたが、電波がより確実につながる有料のWifiにしました。１週間連続使用ということで、ネット接続料金は割り引かれていました。本当は眺望のよいエグゼグティブ階を望んでいたのですが、ネットに快適につながる方が仕事上も大切だったので部屋の変更は申し出ませんでした。 　部屋は照明も少なく、窓を開けなければ欧米人好みの薄暗い感じなのでゆっくり休むには良いと思います。 　浴槽は若干汚い印象を持ちましたが、温泉と思えばあまり気になりませんでした。浴槽があったこともあり、乾燥もそれほどなか […] ったです。その変わり、他のホテルと比べて部屋は若干寒く感じられました。 　ただ、あるとき帰ってきたらデスクの上に水のペットボトル1リットルがぽんと置いてあったので、サービスかと思って飲んだら、最後にしっかりと徴収されました。たかだか数百円ですが、有料だったらミニバーにしっかり入れておけよと思いました。 　ベッドメイクもまじかで見ていましたが、１週間、本当に整えるだけで、シーツ交換はしていませんでした。それほど清潔好きではないので、別に良いのですが、日本のサービスと比較してはいけないなぁと随所で感じました。それとシャンプー以外にはなにもないので、歯ブラシ、石鹸等は自分で持って行った方が良いと思います。 　ビジネス目的で来ており、またタクシー代は経費で落ちたので立地の不便さを感じませんでしたが、旅行に来た場合は相当不便な立地だなぁと思うかもしれません。 　レストランの食事も基本的においしいですが、多くを期待するなら、ダウンタウンの高級レストランに出かけた方が良いと思います。 　基本的にお金を積んでも、国際レベルのサービスを期待するのは難しそうです。良きも悪しきも田舎での高級ホテルというイメージです。その分、気楽にいろいろと相談できましたが。 Läs mer

ホテルのスタッフの対応はとてもよかったですが、立地条件がよくないです。ショッピングセンターのある中心地から離れており、タクシーで行かなければなりません。（車で約10分ほど）また、シャワーがちょろちょろとしか出ず、設定温度も38℃まででお湯が出るまで時間がかかり特に冬だったのでそこは不満でした。周りにレストランはなく、ホテル内のレストランの料金は高めでした。室内のセントラルヒーティングは効きすぎくらいで暑くて目が覚めたほどです。朝食はおいしかったです。

Litt skuffende at hotellets Spa & trim ikke var i drift pga oppussing. Det ville vært greit å vite på forhånd. Alternativet som var stillet til rådighet eksternt fristet ikke på samme måte. Utvalget av TV kanaler var dårlig. Lite å se for en norsk turist. Når det er sagt, var hotellet fint og triveligt. God resturant og god service.
