Fantastisk välkomna tillbringade vi 7 nätter på hotellet. Fint frukost, rena rum, gratis WiFi, underbar service. Tyvärr byggarbeten just nu (maj 13).

Detta är ett väldigt mysigt hotell, rummen är väldigt små, men väldigt fräscha. Läget är helt ok, nära Union square och bra shopping, kanske 30 minuters promenad från Fisherman's wharf (men nära till turistspårvagnen som utgår från Union square). Hotellet har ingen egen parkering, men runt hörnet ligger ett parkeringshus som de har något slags specialavtal […] med. Frukosten är helt ok, men det är ju ingen rejäl frukostbuffé som i Sverige direkt :) Skulle definitivt rekommendera hotellet med tanke på prisvärdheten (vi fick något slags sista-minuten specialpris tror jag). Hotellet låg bra med två minuter till union square med china town bara några kvarter bort. Toppenläge för shopping och finns bussar nästan precis utanför dörren. Städningen var sen, så vi bad dem bara byta våra handdukar då vi behövde rummet, ett minus där. Frukosten var liten, men fanns gott kaffe, te, yogurt, ägg och lite bröd. Så man kunde definitivt […] äta sig mätt och frukosten se helt klart fräsch. Väggarna på hotellet var tunna, kunde höra när grannen spolade toaletten. Men eftersom vi inte var där för att vara på hotellet så spelade det ingen större roll. Jag rekommenderar verkligen detta hotellet. Specielt för "nykomlingar" i staden. Läs mer

Rummen och hotellet var mkt snyggt och fräscht, mkt trevlig personal, bra kontinental frukost som ingår. Bra läge nära Union square och cable cars, gångavstånd också till Fishermans wharf, om man inte har något emot att traska upp och ner på San Fransiscos gator och njuta av atmosfär och utsikt! På minussidan så är det mkt lyhört utåt, man hör t.ex. […] sopbilen mkt tydligt, dessutom är rummen mkt små, vilket dock inte störde oss särskilt, vi var ju ändå inte på rummen annat än för att sova :) Kan iaf klart rekommendera hotellet, klart prisvärt och ett bra hotell i vår smak. Hotellet var snyggt renoverat, var rent och fräscht och låg centralt till. Vi hade läst i andra recensioner att man skulle be om rum högre upp än tredje våningen, vilket vi gjorde och hamnade på sjunde. Där var det tyst och lugnt hela natten. Rummet var trevligt, men lite litet. Dock helt ok för en långweekend. Det som var riktigt dåligt var frukostbuffen […] som knappt innehöll något av intresse alls. Kaffe/the, något sött bröd, överkokta ägg och så joghurt. Det var allt! Vi blev besvikna efter första dagen och fick äta frukost ute på stan både den dagen och de följande. Personalen i receptionen var vänlig och trevlig och vi kände oss väl bemötta varje gång vi gick förbi lobbyn. Läs mer

This hotel was really nice! Sort of trendy with a nice bar with live music sometimes. Rooms were very nice, first I was a bit chocked over the size of the room since it was quite small! But the bed was really comfortable and it was clean and fresh with modern decorations! One thing that could have been better was that when people were walking or talking […] in the corridors it was real noisy! The breakfast was quite dull, we ate out on diners, which is to recommend! The location was great, close to all the stores and BART station and to China town. Overall a great experience at this hotel! Läs mer

Ett prisvärt mellanklasshotell i centrala San Francisco med gångavstånd till mycket. Det är även lätt att ta sig runt stan då det är väldigt nära till lokaltrafiken.

Bodde här under 2 dagar och jag hade nog för höga förväntningar på hotellet. Det är en fin reception men det rummet vi fick var otroligt litet.. Vi trodde vi hade beställt en mini svit och vi fick ett mini rum..Dem påstod att Hotels.com hade skrivit fel i sin beskrivning för rummet.. I alla fall, det är fruktansvärt lyhört där. Det kändes som att vi […] inte hade några fönster ut mot vägen, vi hörde allt även om vi bodde på 8:e våningen! Besvär dig inte att gå ner och käka deras frukost, utan gå till något trevligt fik istället. Dem hade en populär bar på hotellet på 2:a våningen som var trevlig. Kan tänka mig att man hör musiken om man bor på 3:e till 5:e våningen. Läget på hotellet var otroligt bra, tar ca 1 minut till Union Square. Läs mer

The rooms were nice but view from Room 811 sucked. The tenants from across were disgusting so my blinds were never opened. I switched rooms with my daughter at room 814 was better. Elevator sucked. Comp breakfast was not up to PAR. Not even basic.

I LOVED the intimate boutique feeling of the room. The bed was comfy, the bathroom beautiful. A little too low on the water pressure for my taste. Convenient mini store next door for snacks and fruit. The trash truck in the alley every morning at 6:30 was an slight annoyance but that's what you get in a city setting. Hotel overall was pretty nice. We liked the decor in the hallways, lobby and the room itself. It had the boutique look which is pretty popular nowadays. We got a Junior suite on the 4th floor. Room was a bit tight and the sink was in the main room vs the bathroom, which was a little different. Our room (#415) was right next to the dumpster, so we heard […] a lot of noise at the wee hours of the morning, so that was a little annoying. Location wasn't bad. Pretty close to the Powell Street BART stop, and a short cab ride to a number of different locations. Bar in the hotel had the prohibition era "Craft cocktail" theme to it. Bartenders were friendly. Being an architect, I really enjoyed the blending of upbeat, modern interior decorating inside a somewhat historical structure, especially the exposed brick wall on the interior.

Overall, the hotel was cute and clean. I was in a very noisy room. Every morning at 6am, I awoke to a very loud garbage truck emptying a dumpster next to my room. Needless to say, i was not happy. Also, when i arrived, my toilet was clogged up and needed attention. Overall, the room was good. I would go back again.

The hotel is in a good spot by union square and it is pretty "hip" but the rug in the hallway of my floor was covered in plastic. I felt like i was part of a crime scene. the woman at the front was a little rude. There were to tissues in my room which I probably wouldn't have noticed except I had a horrible cold and needed to sleep with the roll of […] toilet paper. 75% of the time I tried the elevator it didnt seem to be working. I was very happy with my stay here, especially given the location and the low price. The room was quite small and sound does carry a bit, but I wasn't bothered by either of those things and will stay again. Very friendly staff.

I didn't like how the location was right next to the tunnel, but it didn't bother me that much. It was only 2 blocks away from union square and getting a taxi was easy. I wished they had another elevator.

And I was pleased! BUT, the elevator was NEVER free always had to wait The Tavern is quite expensive, I asked for 1 kind of wine and a lady came around telling me i should try this one. Also, no room service. What I should have asked was how much is it. So we stayed mostly in the hotel, the door isn't set correctly every time someone walks by or closes […] another door our door shakes as if it was about to open. And since the bed is so close to door, as In I can open the door while sitting on my bed, I was constantly anxious thinking someone would walk in so we kept the "do not disturb" tab for the entire stay. We stayed 5 days. The tv kept blanking every 30 mins, a lot of the channels didn't work. No sort of table for toothbrush and toothpaste, the basin is too fancy to hold anything on it, or anywhere else in the broom. If you ask for the 3rd floor ask for the left side facing union square so you won't get the noise of the garbage men BUT you won't see any view of the square, just a brick wall and some clouds. I'm a mom who traveled with her 16 year old daughter and I loved our stay! The hotel's location was excellent and we always felt safe walking around. The room was spotless, the front desk was always helpful and the breakfast was delicious! I would definitely stay there again!

We loved the hotel. It did miss the mark on a couple of things -- small -- no Kleenex in the room, need a table lamp by the bed and the security safe was closed and not able to open without help from management. But everything else was great -- we love the modern decor right out of Dwell magazine, especially the sliding pocket-type door to the bathroom […] and the quiet modern room fan. Loved the aesthetic of the hotel, and its location. The room was beautiful and very clean until we looked closer. The shower didn't get hot barely warmer than room temperature. The toilet seat was about to fall off. To top things off this hotel was very loud and the room didn't seam to be very sound proof. Woke up at 5am to a homeless man howling in […] the alley behind the hotel. He kept at it for an hour before he moved on. Later that morning 7ish, we were woken up by hotel staff and other guests talking and stomping through the halls. Bummer, because I really liked this hotel on first glance. Läs mer

Paid a great rate for this location. Room was tiny but was used just for sleeping and rest. Water shower was not that hot as I would have preferred. Loud noise because my room was directly above the bar. Really close to union square and also not many bums in area only 2-3 and they seemed to always be in the area.

I really like the Mystic: the modern style is just much more "me" than the other similarly priced options in the area. It's a great deal: a comfy room in an attractive building with a good breakfast included. It is an old building so there are creaks here and there, and it's in the city so there are sometimes noises at night, but none of the above has […] bothered me. As others have mentioned, the elevator is crazy slow, but it's better to take the stairs anyway, which is what I do when I am not schlepping a suitcase. The bar in the hotel has a nice atmosphere and well mixed craft cocktails. There's a good chance I will return to the Mystic for future trips. Läs mer

I was VERY impressed with my room. With the lobby. With all of it. I had some fantastic oysters on the half shell from the restaurant on the second floor, and the continental breakfast in the morning was a nice inclusion, especially when the hotel was quite affordable compared to others in the area. I parked my rental car for nearly 24 hours straight […] in the garage directly across the street and paid $34 for it. Not bad. My only complaint is that I was in one of their new "suite" rooms, meaning that the next room over adjoined to mine with an interior door. The door was locked of course, never opened it, but it gave very little sound barrier. My neighbor was on the phone speaking in a foreign language at 1:30am and I thought he was in my room! We were delighted to have stayed at the Mystic. We look forward to our future stays in San Francisco at the Mystic. Perfect place to spend the night after a busy day walking around the city. Great location. We had a small room but is not like we intended to just spend our time in it.

Fantastic stay! first night I went late around 8pm so didn't get a room with a view, but I requested for a view room! Next day I went for business, and they moved my stuff with my permission to the best VIEW room, I had amazing views of grand hyatt and sunrize. Also the Breakfast is super awesome with combinations of fruits, juice. tea and coffee. The […] best part is that it is away from the noise but close to the union square that I can do what ever I wanna do! Very safe at night too! I walked around 1 am. Alll people are friendly and also they have a 24/7 destop for us to print stuff. I will only live here when i am in San Fran ! Läs mer

Was a nice surprise! First time using Hotel.com and wasn't sure how it would go! We loved the charm modern and the warmth of the history shining through. From the beautiful wood, nice rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast and the memories of what an old elevator brings :) We'll be back

Very wel designed, modern, clean room. Excellent location steps from everything in Union Square and Chinatown. Elevator is a joke. Only one for the entire hotel and very old, slow, works when it wants too. If they can get this fixe, updated I'd stay here every time.

Easy walk to Union Square and China Town. Very comfortable, windows that opened were nice to let in the beautiful weather(but maybe not so good if you are traveling with little ones). Nice continental breakfast. Burrit Room had a live jazz band, and a very chic but not intimidating atmosphere. The room was clean, except the grout in the shower, and […] a painted shut window in the shower, which needed a little attention. Overall, close enough to the action that we didn't require a car, and gave that city feel, but private and comfortable and not in a sketchy neighborhood at all. We would definitely stay again. There is a lot to like about this little hotel. It was reasonably priced, clean and centrally located. They offer a nice (free) continental breakfast in the morning. Just a couple of things to note. They play live music on the 2nd floor most every night, so if you're a light sleeper or someone who turns in early, ask for a room on the 4th or 5th floors. […] The music was great and the clientele was upscale - but I was on the 3rd floor and it was very apparent I was above a small nightclub. Lucky I can sleep through anything! The other thing worth noting is that there is a super convenient parking structure right across the street. The rate is $34 for 24 hours. I seemed to be able to go in and out a couple of times a day and the cost did not exceed $34 in a 24 hour period. The hotel will suggest (they don't push) that you go to some place around the block that charges $32 for 24 hours with unlimited ins and outs. The place across the street was well worth the extra $2 - if just for the fact that it is only a few feet away. Läs mer

Hotel was clean, but under going some re-modeling. Construction did not affect our stay though. Rooms are small but nicely decorated. Had a nice mini bar but no pricing anywhere for items, which made us question what the charges were for the bar items. Rooms are small but that seems to be how most rooms in this area are. Impressed with the "feel" of the Mystic Hotel, so much that I forgot I was in a hotel and thought "I lived here" they had to gently remind + me of that when they saw I purchased a large credenza, circa 1930's, and had it delivered to the Mystic. the staff is tuned to the ""Mystic Frequency" and with out leaving anyone out, the experience begins at the […] front desk, under Rita's supervision; the "magic of the mystic" begins...say hello to Roy in the breakfast dining area; he will enjoy that.
