Hotell Shilo Inn - Boise Riverside - Boise

The hotel is located on the Green belt with the Boise river and a beautiful lawn right behind the hotel. The rooms have sliding doors that lead outside to a patio area, and the lawn area in the back, it was great place for our dogs. They offer a nice yummy continental breakfast.

This motel was easy to find. Everyone was very helpful and did things with a smile. Breakfast was great for a continetal one. Nice variety of the foods. my only complaint was no flavored creamers. Would deffinetly use again and recommend it to others.

This motel was probably nice in its day. Great location on the river. But it seems to have been neglected for the last decade.

We stay here when taking our daughter to/from college. It's inexpensive, clean, quiet, and the staff is helpful and professional. Our only gripe is that the mattresses, while new, are VERY firm.

Loved the view and proximity to greenbelt and river. TV needs upgrading or at least better reception.

The rooms stinks. Mix of bleach and cigarette or something. And the room looked like correctional facility. The picture of the rooms in hotels.com doesn't even look like the ones in person. And the receptionist dude didn't let us check in until exactly 3pm. Yes we know the check in is 3pm, but me and my husband travels a lot all over and even if the […] check in is 3pm, the receptionist always let us check i at least 1pm. So that was frustrating! I never experience something like that. It wasn't our first time on this hotel either. Before, the receptionist didn't make us wait. My daughter and I went to see the university and the hotel was in a great location for our stay in fact we plan to go again in June and if the rates are good plan to stay there again.

We stayed once before at a Shilo Inn (just south of Yosemite) and found that one to be exactly what we needed at the time. In comparison, the Shilo Inn in Boise felt a little more worn, and there was a minor incursion of ants around the bathroom sink. It's a Shilo Inn not Four Seasons. I thought it was clean and comfortable and quiet. Enjoyed walking along river into town...very do-able with kids. Great stay!

double charged our cc, when called to have it fixed they gave us the run around, then blamed the bank. Lied and told us multiple times it had been fixed, took over a week to have the charges refunded. The GM was supposed to call me back 2 or 3 times and never did, I always had to call her back.

Great breakfast (as opposed to many other places), pool and hottub were very nice. Right on the river.

The rooms were dirty and very outdated. We had to go through three rooms before a semi clean room was provided.

Very comfortable facility with good breakfast and friendly staff.

This place was less money than other places around it, and they did a great job. They beds were a little flat, but the rooms are new and clean. Staff was friendly and breakfast was ok. Worth the money.

I was very happy with this hotel and would stay again the next time I am in Boise. Easy access to nearby mall and downtown restaurants. Thanks for a great stay

This is a very tired hotel. The "corners" aren't clean. Wouldn't stay again.

I was very disapointed in the "airport Shuttle" offered by the hotel. I arrived about midnight and had called that evening to see how to get the airport shuttle. I was told to get a cab and the hotel would pay for it. When I arrived at the hotel, after a $25.00 ride, I was told I should have called them and they would have sent a cab for me. When I […] left the next morning for the airport, I was told a cab would be there at 8:30. But at 8:30, they called a cab for me, which they did pay for. Don't rely on them for airport shuttle. The building need some major remodeling and so do the rooms! Dirty, ripped and worn out carpet and walls, leaks in the bathroom. It attracts a number of low class, noisy customers and there is no security officer on the premises. Complimentary breakfast is said to be served until 11am and by 8.30am the food is all gone and never restocked. Overall a […] bad experience! Don't use it! Beds are very hard and springy. They don't provide comforters, so we had to ask for blankets to cover our sheets. "Deluxe" continental breakfast was a joke of bad muffins and a waffle maker and an out-of-order sign on the orange juice machine. My advice would be to spend another $15 to $20 and stay downtown instead.

I chose the hotel because it was located on the Greenbelt which I like to walk. The hotel was generally clean and comfortable, however, we wanted to use the pool and spa but decided to forgo both due to the water in the hotpool being so dark we couldn't see the bottom of the pool. I loved having the Riverwalk behind the hotel. I would have given the hotel a 5 for surrounding neighborhood except when I wanted food there was limited choices and had to drive a ways to find something. Room was decent, hotel seems to be getting a bit run down. Old carpet, old paint, starting to show 'yucky' signs and get that "I won't take my shoes […] off in this hotel" kind of feel. Wasn't impressed with the breakfast either. For the "Decent" rating I would have liked the price about twenty bucks cheaper but overall I didn't leave there feeling like I got ripped off. being able to wake up to see the river it was very nice

I stayed here for Valentines day with my wife. We usually stay at the rodway inn because of their excellant breakfast. But I wanted a place with an indoor pool and spa as well as workout center. The bedroom is pretty average, a rather dated bathroom and a very complex TV system. I'm a System's Engineer and it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to […] just get plain TV. It's supposed to be a "River View" room but the angle is all wrong to see much of the river unless you plan on standing on the bed. The Exercise room is a JOKE! A exercise bike, a stair stepper, a bench and one of the late night infomercial all-in-ones. Each in varying stages of decay. The were obviousley picked up from the dumpster of a flea market. The Pool was Ok. The indoor pool was rather enjoyable, well heated and very deep (10Ft), However the hot tub is very small, just right for a married couple but a bit crowded for two strangers. It also looks rather dark and murky, this may be because it wasn't lit. The breakfast was merely acceptable. The usual Waffles, Cereal, Bagels, fruit and juice. I will not be visiting again, I will be staying at the Rodway Inn, less expensive and a VERY spectacular breakfast for a hotel. Läs mer

It was fine except when I got hope I saw my bank statement and saw that they charged my card a extra 25.00 for the night with no explanation,Now that's not right.Could use remodeling it is quite old.

Disappointed in this hotel. The first major issue was at check in. The clerk had no idea how to help a guest before us (had to wait over 10 minutes even after the other guest was gone) and was rude to my husband when he tried to check in. Major maintenance issues in our room (wall corner covers coming off, cracks in the walls, horrible shower/tub condition, etc.). We had to request new sheet for the sleeper sofa because of lots of black dog hair that was all over the sheets. I swear there is no sound proofing between rooms. It was as if there were no walls in between us and the room next to us...this caused a pretty sleepless night. On a positive note, the bed was really comfortable and the breakfast was adequate. This inn is located next to the beautiful Boise River and features easy access to a nice park and greenbelt path. Other highlights that we enjoyed were the morning breakfast and the indoor pool. This inn provided a great get-away experience.

Equipment in 'fitness room' was falling apart. I was awakened several times during night by maybe pipes affected by changes in temperature, or neighbors throwing shoes at our room walls. It was a very unpleasant night!

Although I always stay at this hotel when in Boise, I was disappointed this time. My first time staying in winter, the room was very cold. The following week when I again stayed at Shilo on the way home from my trip to Oregon, I again found a room too cold, but this time I asked for a blanket and one was cheerfully provided.
