We wanted a place that was within walking distance of the River Walk area nightlife and found this place on hotels.com advertising a Cinco de Mayo special. The check-in was smooth and quick, except that our check-in guy was not as helpful with hotel or surrounding info. The lady next to me actually got a nice breakdown of the bar, restaurant hours and […] a quick breakdown of other amenities. My guy was done with me in a couple of minutes and offered no such advice. I didn't mind since I had already heard it from the other guy, but they should all do the same. The room was a lot smaller than we had imagined, but it was nice and clean. It did have the look of a very old hotel that was upgraded to make it look more modern. We both kind of liked that old hotel vibe it gave and it added to it's flair. It is supposed to be a hotel with a lot of history. We did later notice a plaque downstairs that showed it was totally run by another company and was just licensing the Sheraton name. The bed was very comfortable and the covers were super soft. The noise from the street can be a little of a bother if you happen to have a street facing room. We enjoyed that they had strong, tasty starbucks coffee in the room that saved us having to buy some from the one across the street. Overall a decent stay for the discounted price we paid. Much more than that for such a tiny room is only worth it if you are only spending your entire time downtown and want to be within walking distance. Läs mer

Very very horrible. I don't know how Sheraton can be this horrible. We stayed here for 1 night and booked a queen bed room. So it was a bed with hardly any room to place the luggage. And the Bathroom...no place to turn around. You can sit or stand without even moving a step. The shower was yuck. the pot was disgusting. The hair dryer was broken. Every […] thing is bad except the bed was clean. Nothing other than this. If we would not be tired after a long trip, we would have walked out right away from the hotel. Even after paying 4 times the price of 1 star Motel, this was not even worth a penny. I usually do not write reviews, but the bad experience made me to speak out. Läs mer

I loved it. We ate outside for dinner and then walked across the street to the Majestic theater and saw an incredible concert. I wish the parking wasn`t so expensive but all of the hotels downtown probably have expensive parking.

Nicely maintained older hotel. Room was kind of small and noisy from traffic. Great location, close to riverwalk. Restaurant has a great breakfast buffet. Would definitely stay there again.

great location only blocks from the riverwalk alamo market square great food options besides the river walk close by.. only issue was the size of the room

This place is way over priced for what you get. The location was great for walking around downtown but our room was small and the bathroom was cramped at best. The toilet was public restroom style, not classy at all. The hotel attendants were very nice and our stay was very pleasant but I expected more from the room we paid for.

Close to Riverwalk. Has a program where you can request to not have sheets changed and get credit for a hotel restaurant. Staff were very helpful about routes for running.

I really enjoyed the room and the location however the air conditioner did not get cold in our room and being a 8 month expecting mother it was very discomforting.

Overall the hotel is nice, but our room was tiny and the bathroom was the size of a RV bathroom. Our room was very loud from the hall and the street. I know they can't do anything about the street, but the every room door slams shut. Even when you try and quietly shut the door, the lock slams shut. For the cost of the room, I expected better.

They all treated us wonderful during our stay. We went to a concert across the street and after the concert we walked back to the hotel and asked if they were still serving dinner. They stated that they would be more than happy to make us something because the restaurant was closed downstairs. 25 minutes later, they delivered filet mignon and shrimp […] in our room and it was also delivered by the Chef. Great location. Hotel is nice, has a unique bar and onsite restaurant. We were givien an extremely small room and the employee working the coffee shop had to look up how to make a latte otherwise enjoyable. The staff did comp us some freebies so all is well. We have stayed here a few times due to the location and they take pets.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever seen. At 104 years old it has been maintained to perfection. Very good location, we could walk everywhere. Wonderful service very helpful employees. thank you for making our weekend getaway so wonderful!

We were pleasantly surprised at the great condition of this old hotel. The staff was extremely helpful with many different requests and questions over the 6 nights we were there. We were lucky to get a room with a view on a high floor in the front, which was quiet for being on a busy street. There were many computers with free wifi in the lobby, a good […] bar and restaurant, and a great location within walking distance to all downtown attractions. The rooms adjacent and across our room were filled by young college students that were intoxicated. They placed beer cartons on our door knob throughout the day. Apparently they had been warned several times but they continued with their nonsense. If you're looking for a college spring break experience, this is the place to go.

The hotel rooms need to be updated. No microwave, no refrigerator, no complimentary internet, and bathroom was in disrepair (leaky bathtub faucet and tub needs to be refinished).

The customer service in this hotel is close to none - I am not sure I will want to stay at a Sheraton, unless this is my last option. I paid for three rooms, and did not check out, but after the first night, when my friend and I left, they emptied the room as if to charge for another guest. Everything was nice. The bad points were no microwave or fridge in the room and I had to pay for internet service until I got lucky and used another hotels internet. Location was greater than I had perceived when driving around to see how close it was to the riverwalk, Alamo, and night life.

One street from the river walk, 15 minutes walk from the Alamo Dome (football) and 3 minute walk from the Alamo. Perfect location. Great service, very nice people. The breakfast is good and not expensive. The bed was so comfortable, felt like home.

We love staying at the Sheraton Gunter when we are attending a performance at The Majestic Theatre which is...right across the street!!!
