"Very nice hotel for a good price"
We stayed at the Durango Comfort Inn on our Spring Break trip to catch some last days of skiing at Purgatory and Wolf Creek. I was happy to see they have repaired the hot tub. It looks like a replacement. Unfortunately the hot tub is very small but better than nothing which is what they had last December. The hotel was very full both nights and the […] pool area was crowded. Not sure if this is the norm but wouldn't be surprised if it was. The hotel is very clean, has very good service, an excllent breakfast in the morning all at a reasonable price. Overall a great place to stay. "Excellent value."
For the price we paid this hotel is an excellent value. It is an older hotel but, they have (and are still) updating it. The room had a microwave, refrigerator and one of those small pod type coffee makers. The bed was very comfortable, the bedspreads new and clean and the breakfast was one of the better ones we have had. That means there were a few […] healthy options for us like eggs, fruit and yogurt (and pretty darn good coffee). They also have cereals, toast, pastry, waffles and biscuits and gravy for those that need a hearty meal. The front desk staff was nice, the pool was being worked on and unusable but, no problem. "New tempurpedic beds, older standard motel"
This is an older hotel with a very typical layout and room size. It has an older formica bathroom ans so forth but is clean and nice. The big attraction of this is the tempurpedic beds and the double rooms having queen size beds (rather than the usual full size bed.) The downside of that larger bed is that the rooms while not tiny are quite filled with […] beds and tables. Not a lot of room to spread out on the floor. The breakfast is a waffle+fruit+cereal not simply a toast and coffee but does not have eggs or bacon or cinnamon rolls. The desk has many nice people. We had a little problem with our toilet stuck running in the night and they said there was no regular maintenance man but they would be happy to move us to another room. The tempurpedic beds are interesting if you have never tried one before. They come with less warm covers because the beds themselves are warmer, so if you like heavy covers you better ask for an extra blanket. clean, nice and conveniently located in town. No noise sources other than the boulevard it's on. (durango hotels often have train noises). The doors open on the outside right next to your car. Läs mer
Very enjoyable stay. The breakfast was well stocked and had a lot of variety.
Hotel was clean and nice .I.don't like the breakfast .but over all I would say its ok.
Prior reviews have mentioned this hotel being dirty and outdated. They have apparently remodeled since then. I found the hotel to be very clean and inviting. The breakfast was woderful. They went way beyond a continental breakfast and included eggs, hash browns, and waffels. Location was nice, about 40 minutes to Durango Mtn resort. The only downside […] is the jacuzzi was boarded up and only the swimming pool was available. The first night the water was warm, next night, not so warm. I did not get in since there is no longer a way to warm up. My daughter still had a great time though. I would definately suggest restoring the jacuzzi to normal operation for the public use again. Other than that, everything was great. We enjoyed the hot chocolate in the lobby in the evenings, a nice touch. Staff was very friendly and helpful. "Great Place for Emergency Situation"
Durango Comfort Inn was a great place to stay. We had to book a room very quickly and arrived late, but they were wonderful. We actually ended up staying a second night in the same room. They were very accommodating and kind!

"Quality does not match price"
We went to Durango mainly for the Polar Express ride (which was MAGNIFICENT). We LOVED the town of Durango, BUT the Comfort Inn was pricey (about the same as hotels downtown), the pool was out of order, and, despite being VERY slow, we could hear a child screaming and crying from 11 PM until 5 AM! At 6AM, I asked what was going on in the room next door. […] The clerk told us that there was nobody next to us. I told him about the child and he said that a family had come in late, and that they were wound up, but they were at the END of our hall. Not the child's fault, and not even the family's, but maybe it speaks to the how thin the walls might be, and how much you might hear if you stay there and the hotel is BUSY! Other than that, the hotel was pretty comfortable. They have a very nice lobby, and a breakfast that goes beyond the standard continental! We really enjoyed breakfast with waffles, egss, sausage, coffee, juice, cereal, bagles, etc.! If you want to be near the center of town, however, you won't be paying more to stay there, and you will be closer to everything! "Great hotel"
I really enjoyed my stay at Comfort. The room was spacious and updated....beds/pillows comfortable....coffee avl 24/7....nice hot breakfast....had my fave yogurt! This would be my first choice hotel in Durango if I go back!

Reasonable hotel for the area, but a few niggles. We waited a long time to check in & as soon as we were being served another staff member turned up. The room was clean & bed very comfortable, but all the lights were on one side so made the other side rather dark and the safe was half falling off the wall. "Nice hotel if a bit bland"
Hotel is fine, no complaints at all. But difficult to find it if you don't know Durango. Not much in walking distance, although the Mexican restaurant in the adjacent mall is OK. Downtown is quite close by but have to drive there.

We had the smell of smoke when we walked in our room not cool for a smoke free place,and the spa was green. the food in the morning was just ok. we are go some place different next time.....

This hotel was very clean, a great location, and had a refrigerator and microwave in the room which was very convenient. The breakfast bar that was included with the room fees had a wide variety of options, and their blueberry waffles were the best I have ever had. I will definitely return to this hotel.

"Great stay"
Had a great stay. Room was big and kept very clean. Nice grounds. Not walking distance to downtown Durango so we had to drive a little more than we cared to. However saved $50 a night over the place we stayed before, so that made it more than worth it. We'll be back.

Location is a little far from middle of town but very nice place with a put, put golf course across the highway and mall very close. Nice friendly staff, would definitely stay there again!

the hotel was convenient to downtown but not easy walking distance. The staff was cordial, the breakfast more than adequate, and the rooms very nice. Also enjoyed the pool and spa. There are no restaurants close so a car is a must. Very happy with my stay at this hotel, especially for the price.

Outstanding service and amenities. The breakfast buffet was superior to any others we encountered on our week long adventure. The hotel was a bit off the main drag for Durango, but with our own car it was no big deal. Highly recommended.

"usualy ok.. this time not so much"
The pillows are like airplane pillows. the bed is nothing special, kinda hard. TV is in a woden box, but the room was ok, new carpet and new remodle. it was ok. the breakfast had droped big time in quality, usto be a big good hot breakfast, but now i would rather go to a drive through coffee. it was ok, but not great for the price.
This hotel was very clean and well maintaned. The beds were a little firm but we were overall happy with our stay.

The only thing that wasn't great was the swimming pool. Too small. Everything else was great. Even breakfast was good.

The hotel was nice. The Map is confusing, Hotel is not downtown - you need to go South four stop lights out of Downtown area. Other than that everything was fine. Did not get a chance to check out amenities but room, hall and lobby were nice and the beds were better than most places I have stayed. Nice and QUIET. Yeah! I would stay there again.
