"Wonderful Old World Style With New World Comfort"
This hotel is lovely. Our room was very modern yet had the feel of a time gone by. The service was excellent from arrival to departure and the on site restaurant had quality food for acceptable prices. We would definitely stay again when next in the area.

I stayed at the Blennerhassett in early December 2011 for 2 days. What a great experience! The staff were all very friendly and the common areas were tastefully decorated with careful attention to detail. The room and bed were extremely comfortable. The hotel itself is in a magnificently restored 1889 building. It has been restored with loving care. […] The dark wood and leather appearance was stunning. We stayed in a Junior Suite. Beautiful room! At least 12-14 ft. ceilings. Very Spacious. I have always had problems sleeping away from home, but I slept like a baby in this large, very comfortable king size bed. Many Pillows.. It was like home away from home!! If you have any requests they will accomodate you.. Ice was ready in room for us and kids […] pull out bed was made and ready for them after a long trip. We had a wonderful breakfast at Spat's. The local Bob Evans was more expensive than eating at this elegant restaurant. Highly recommend. My husband loved this hotel. Almost like a step back in time. Great Hotel, we loved the outside setting. The hotel had beautiful flowers greeting you. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean and cozy. We loved the magazines, the city tour information that was in our room. They had filled up the ice bucket before our arrival. The restaurant downstairs had great food. "The Blennerhasset"
Was wonderful all around. The staff was great. We went to Parkersburg for the half marathon, the hotel is at the perfect location. It is so nice. It is the place to stay if you are in the area. We will be returning.
"Lovely evening"
Spent a lovely evening at the Blennerhassett. The room was nicely appointed and the staff could not have been more helpful and accomdating. We enjoyed cocktails in the longue and caught the end of some live music.

Hotel was nice, the only thing I did not like was stepping out the back door to go to parking area, you stepped right out into an alley. They did have Valet parking but the desk clerk did not offer this information until we asked about parking. She was nice about it, but it seemed she took it for granted that we knew about it.

Though our 2 rooms were the same dimension as one would find in a Hampton Inn, the use of color and upscale bedding puts it in a higher level category. Our King room was a pleasant yellow. Bathrooms had beautiful granite counters. And afternoon live jazz on the patio is a real treat. We listened while enjoying light fare from a pub menu. The Blennerhassett is truly a gem! It is unbelievably georgeous! From arrival to check out everything was perfect. Every attention to detail is taken. The restaurant was also superb. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We look forward to a return visit!

I would reccommend this hotel to any one considering a stay in Parkersberg. In fact dollar for dollar your not to be dis- appointed. Travellers do need to know that there is no pool on site. The historial Blennerhassett Island State Park was our destination. We decided to blend the hotel stay with the island so we choose the Blennerhassett hotel for the historical factor.
