very friendly staff, coffee/tea/snacks/apple/water in room which is nice for a budget hotel, fantsastic shower, close to town amenities though not a very inspiring block, free wifi is genuine with no registration and no strings attached, no breakfast disappointing but understandable, window didn't stay open by itself but the apple came in handy for that!

Mindre B&B med 4 rum, ganska litet rum med badrum på rummet, rent och snyggt. Värdparet mycket trevliga. Sidmouth är ett mysigt ställe med mycket vacker natur i omgivningarna, väl värt ett besök!

My partner and I stayed for one saturday night as we were competing in Taunton marathon the next day. The hotel was nice and clean, and looked as though it had been refurbished quite recently. "Long Weekend Break"
Overall we enjoyed the long break. Generally the staff were very helpful and friendly. The place was clean and pleasant, We didnt use the restaurant so cannot comment on the food. Positives:We enjoyed our one night stay. The hotel was mostly very clean and the swimming pool was great for a few early morning lengths. The breakfast was very nice and good value. It was a very easy drive to get into the centre of Taunton from the hotel. Negatives: We were allocated accessible room No. 5 - we're both tall so the very low basin, low […] storage area and low bed were most uncomfortable for our aging backs. There was an old pizza box with a half eaten pizza left in a drawer - yukky and so they lost points for cleanliness. There too much light in the room when it should have been dark i.e. the light leaked in from the corridor and there were green lights on the smoke alarm and a red light on another socket..all of which made it difficult to sleep. Stopped there because of an early morning appointment in exeter. Convenient location just off the M5. Couple of miles into taunton with plenty of shops. On site fitness centre, pool and sauna very good. Staff wonderful and go the extra mile to look after you.Verifierad gästrecension

"Good apart from noise issues"
Overall a very good hotel. Good value, especially if it happens to be an Expedia 'Secret Hotel' - cheaper than nearby Travelodge and similar. Close to M5 but minimal traffic noise. Well equipped fitness centre and pool/sauna available to guests. Jacuzzi not available when I stayed - being refilled. Hotel restaurant looked reasonable in terms of food, […] but seemed expensive. Breakfast in restaurant moderate good value if pre-booked (even after arrival in hotel). Bar with good staff, good choice of beers, and bar snack menu - better value than restaurant. Bad points. Internal noise insulation in hotel appalling. Bathroom sounds from adjacent or above room clearly heard. Room was very close to bar / reception and corridor door failed to keep noise out. I think there were function rooms near my room (Room 3), thankfully not in use on that night. Other rooms may well have been quieter.Would hate to have been there if wedding or similar on. Premier Inn do noise insulation better. 2 coach parties in when I was there, one of which seemed to be a touring band (brass or similar, not young) whose members were (tone?) deaf or assumed their colleagues were. Loud enough that I skipped on second pint, but could still hear from room. Recommended for short break, kids will like pool. Ideal break point in journey to West Country / Plymouth Ferries. "Basic hotel - does the job, no more."
Stayed for a week in August. Rooms are basic and a little old now. Clean enough though. Staff friendly and little things like cookies in the afternoon for children is good. Breakfast average - overcooked hot food but at least a wide selection. Swimming pool and sauna were clean and gym is a good one. No steam room alas. "Great hotel where children are welcomed"
Well positioned hotel, well decorated and every amenity - great swimming pool which the children loved, staff exceptionally friendly and small things like books, milk & cookies available every night in the foyer were a nice touch. Room comfortable and good size TV in room, a very friendly hotel where children are made to feel welcome. "A decent hotel for fast access to the South West"
Stayed at this hotel for business and found it to be easily accessed from the M5. The staff were efficient and the rooms of a good size with good facilities. The use of the onsite gym and pool were also a big draw for me. The pricing was good too. There are a number of restaurants nearby as well as a retail park and major supermarket. "Good Cornwall stop over"
Fantastic for a stop over on route to Cornwall. Having a swimming pool was great for a young family to burn off energy after a long trip. This Holiday Inn, situated on the M5, is ideal for people who need a basic hotel to stay at while travelling from A to B. As it is a chain hotel it is never going to win any awards for individuality but then this is not what it is going for. "A very pleasant weekend away in the west country"
Very spacious, smart and clean hotel located so very conveniently just off the Taunton M5 junction and the main route into town with ever so friendly and on the ball staff who made us feel most welcome and looked after when needed. Restaurant a little expensive but probably worth the price with quality cuisine. Superb leisure suite with heated indoor […] pool and exceptionally well equiped and maintained large fitness room, again staffed by friendly and helpful people with a small extremely useful relating shop for all those things you may have forgotten to bring along. "Disappointing stay at a Holiday Inn"
As well as not getting the room I booked we found the food uninspiring and the rooms old and jaded. The tv hissed, the soap smelt chaep and nasty and the shower had hardly any power. The breakfast was good but the chairs in the restaurant are like workmen's cafe chairs with plastic seats that stick to your skin if you are wearing shorts or skirts and […] ouch! how they hurt as you get up! The children's video games play area is adjacent to the breakfast area and very noisy if you are there to relax. Nothing against children but maybe it should be somewhere else? "Adequate for a stopover"
This hotel is clean and comfortable but not exactly luxurious. We used it simply as a stop-over to break the long journey to Cornwall. Staff as we were leaving, offered my one child a doll/figure, which was nice, but ignored my other child!!! They also billed me for the cost of the room, even though I'd already paid this in advance through Expedia.
