Hotell Mespil Hotel - Dublin

Prisvärt hotell med lagom promenadavstånd till City. Trots närhet till trafikerad gata så hördes det inte så mycket inne på rummet. Nära till restauranger och pubbar om man inte vill ta sej till city-kärnan. Frukosten var inte prisvärd men det fanns ställen i närheten man kan äta på.

Ett trevligt och frächt hotell i lugna kvarter. Passade mina behov under en konferensvistelse i Dublin utmärkt. Frukostbuffén var generös och mycket prisvärd, bara €8 för en kontinentalfrukost med bl a färsk frukt och olika varianter av kallskuret. Jag skulle gärna rekommendera detta hotell till andra.

Jättebra hotell, mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Lungt område med fina matställen. Nära till park med bra lekområde, bra om man har barn med sig.

Fasaden är som vanligt mer sliten än på hotellets foton men rummen är det inget fel på. Hotellet ligger 10min promenad till parken St Stephen Green och därifrån är det väl 10min promenad till Temple Bar.

Helt OK hotell, en bit att gå till centrum. Prisvärt.

Hotellet var bra, låg i ett lugnt område,vi kan väl tycka att det var långt att gå in till centrum,och det blev många gånger under de dagar vi var där.

Mespil Hotell ligger c:a 10 minuters promenad söder om de centrala delarna av Dublin. En trevlig promenad längs en större väg som bjuder på många trevliga pubar och frukosthak utmed vägen. Vi fick ett bra mottagande av personalen och de gav oss även info om vad som var värt att se och göra i Dublin, Våga fråga! Stort bra rum, bra sängar och rent o snyggt […] på toa - det viktigaste på rummet. Vi åt bara frukost på hotellet sista dagen innna vi drog till flyget - och det var ok men något dyrare än vad vi käkade för på stan. Hotellet c:a 9euor och på stan c:a 6 euro. Passa på att boka taxiresan vi areceptionen, det ger 20% rabatt på priset. Enkel resa till flyget c:a 28 euro ex rabatt. Skulle vi ta detta igen, ja faktiskt. Andra gången vi nu bor på detta hotell. Ligger nära och bra till centrum. Stora rum, om man kan ska man dock försöka få rum mot floden inte mot innegården. Rent och trevlig personal. Prisvärd frukost. Trevliga barer och pubar i närheten.

While we had a nice time, the rugs seemed dirty. One of the bed comforters looked like it hadn't been cleaned after love making. And half the staff we interacted with were extremely rude. I will avoid this one in the future.

Really enjoyed our stay in the Mespil Hotel. Food, service, location excellent. Obviously a very popular hotel because there was a great buzz about the place. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

I really enjoyed my stay in the Mespil Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with plenty of space. The presentation of the room was fantastic, with the extra little touches like cushions and runners on the bed adding to the feel of luxury about the room. We ate in the bar downstairs, and while we were waiting a while […] for our food, it was well worth it! All food was freshly cooked and the taste was fantastic. The hotel slogan says that guests don't just stay AT the Mespil, they stay WITH the Mespil - it's not an empty slogan, the staff are incredibly pleasant and efficient. The location is great,so near to city centre and in a leafy spot beside the canal, with plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. good quality clean hotel, if you want to go out in the city you will need a taxi but it is not too far. free parking and wii fi and very friendly staff.

Great Location, good staff, rooms a little dated and tired, good breakfast all up good value for money

Good hotel for the price (even though breakfast was NOT included and cost 8-10 euros). Rooms were nice and clean and the facilities were all in all worth the price. Center of Dublin is within walking distance (20min).

The hotel staff were all excellent, very professional but also friendly and helpful. The location is a little way from the town centre and Temple Bar but is within a few minutes walking distance of Baggot Street, which we found to be preferable to Temple Bar for pubs. lack of adequate parking is a big problem

Hotel had all i needed. Parking was my only problem, no spaced in their car park.. Location perfect, reception friendly.

Nice hotel overall, if a little dated!! Could do with a make-over! Very convenient location and the staff were very friendly. Good value for money

Stayed in Mespil hotel. perfect location to Baggot St and Lansdowne Road. lovely friendly staff. well reccommed staying here.

I like this hotel. Its in a great location. Great rates. Helpful staff. Basic, but very clean and comfortable. Some wear and tear showing but nothing major. This is a great hotel in a great location and great value. Book it!

Stayed during Bank Holiday Monday and Tuesday 2011. Was woken at 1am and again at 4.30am by people coming into rooms next door. The walls are very thin! Also workmen in room next door banging at 9.00 on Tuesday; what a thing to do with occupants asleep in room next door!

A lot of restaurants. take-away, pubs and grosserishops nearby. Great room with lots of space. walking distance to city cener about 20 minutes.

overall ok. the staff is friendly. the cleanliness is ok. location ok only as a bit far from public transport. however the drawback is that the housekeeping staff is not so pro in the sense that never refill the necessary toiletories for us.

We found the hotel not up to a standard of cleanliness. Someone had written in the dusk on the legs of the chairs in the room HELP. What does that tell you. We booked a triple room, yet had to ask for three towels. We stayed two nights and had to ask for an extra towel and tea cup again. The room had an unhealthy air quality probably becaused of the […] dust and our room was situated at the back so we heard the garbage pick up and noise of the parking lot all night and early in the morning. Hotel located a little off the beaten track, but there within walking distance of downtown (about 20 minutes) and plenty of bus service. Good size rooms, wifi and computers in the lobby. Starbucks right next door and restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Very good, comfortable, staff at front desk were very helpful and welcoming. Great value and a quiet room - plumbing was a bit noisy but did not cause a problem sleeping.

Bit of a walk into town, but otherwise very good location. Very friendly staff, large rooms, only suggestion would be to make it so the windows open (it can get a little stuffy).

Hotel staff were very helpful and full of information. We were given triple room when booked a twin, so it was nice and spacious.Beds very comfortable. Hotel further out of the main city than I'd thought. Would spend a bit more on a more central hotel if went to Dublin again, as spent a fair bit on getting busses(which will only take exact fare). I stayed at the Mespil Hotel in Dublin for 4 nights and was really impressed. It is hard to tell what you are going to get - booking online, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel room was great (clean and comfortable), the breakfast buffet was very satisfying and the staff were really helpful - especially Peter on the reception desk. He honestly […] helped us with our trip and all our queries more than he needed to. Being in a family room, it was a little annoying having to keep going to reception to request for more teabags, milk and an extra cup everyday, as the room wasn't stocked properly but other than that, the distance from the city centre was the only negative really. The hotel is a very nice hotel, the staff are very accomadating. We arrived at 11am; due to check in for 2pm, we had arranged to leave the bags with the hotel, they gaves us a room at 11am. Very happy wth that. Unforunately the only negative i have with the room 516 is that it is situated right behind the elevator. My wife and i heard it only at night, […] in saying that we did sleep right through it as we were shattered from the dublin tours. I can only find one thing detremental durung my stay in the Mespil Hotel. A card suggesting ways of protecting the environment was in the room and one was leaving plastic bottles for recycling. On day prior to checking out bottles were left in room althgough they had been taken all other mornings and soap was not replaced in bathroom that same morning. Apart […] from this the stay was perfect and I would recommend the Mespil to anyone who is thinking of a stay in Dublin especially if going to the Aviva stadium or RDS as they are both within a 20 minute walk of the hotel. The Mespil Hotel is a few blocks from the center of Dublin and yet is far enough away. A great value for the price.

I booked this hotel at the very last minute and am very happy with my choice except for one thing : the hotel staff. My friend and I were badly welcomed by the receptionist who never made eye contact with either of us. She asked my friend (who had made the booking) to spell her surname 4 times as she could not see our booking which had been made half […] an hour before. I told her that the booking was probably still in the hotel's fax machine or inbox but she totally ignored me. The next day, I asked another receptionist if I could borrow a pen and I got it literally thrown at me! This was utterly rude! Apart from the rude and unprofessional staff, the hotel is well kept, the rooms are basics but clean which is what you would expect from a 3 star hotel. I would advise the receptionist manager to train his staff and expect more manners and professionalism. Läs mer

A fairly central location not far from St Stephens Green with a great pub on the corner and facing a canal. Value for money and would recommend to friends.
