Både 3 nätter i San Francisco på ett dyrt men enkelt och lite slitet hotell. Flyttade ut till Tiburon för ytterligare 3 nätter och fann ett mycket mysigt boende i vackra omgivningar. Poolen och den trevliga personalen med tillhörande restaurang gjorde våra avslutande dagar mycket minnesvärda. Närhet till Muir-woods. Mycket mysigt hotell i en härlig litet samhälle. Vi bodde 3 nätter med två barn som uppskattade poolen väldigt mycket. Personalen är väldigt service-minded. Restaurangen är mycket prisvärd särskilt happy-hour priserna fram till 19.00. Perfekt att kunna låna DVD filmer och slappa på rummet. Jättetrevligt hotell med perfekt läge. Behagligt att ta katamaran-båten, från hamnen 300m från hotellet, in till San Fransisco (15-20min) och slippa parkeringskostnader. Superb frukost med bl.a. gröt. Kan verkligen rekommenderas!

Ett helt underbart prefekt hotell i lugna vackra Tiburon. Vi hade bokat ett "traditional" rum, men fick det uppgraderat till värsta lyxrummet med Spa-badkar, speglar på väggarna, platt-TV mm. Detta lärde oss att det går utmärkt att "klaga", att det är bra att kolla in alla olika rumstyper som finns i USA och att man ibland ska ha lite tur! Vi träffade […] en amerikanska gift med en svensk man i poolen och hon tyckte att vårt rum var för dåligt. Det var hon som hjälpte oss att få denna lyx-svit! Men bortsett från denna roliga episod så älskade vi ändå detta hotell! Läget så lugnt och skönt, vi tog färjan till SF en dag. Pizzerian Waypoint Pizza på Main Street = helt suverän! Fräscht, personligt och gott. Inte som en pizzeria i Sverige, inte alls! Vi vill gärna åka tillbaka till Tiburon och boka in oss på Lodgen igen! Perfekt hotell om man vill vara i San Francisco och samtidigt ha lugn och ro under boendet. Här kan man njuta av poolen och lugnet i exklusiva Tiburon samtidigt som det är lätt att ta färjan över till San Francisco för att turista och shoppa. Missa inte att ta en drink på den trevliga baren Sam´s. Ett suveränt ställe om man vill tillbringa några dagar nära San Francisco på ett lungt ställe med pool, spa och gym. Restaurangen på hotellet var också mycket bra och prisvärd. Perfekt för barnfamiljer.

It was ok, noisy couple next to us. Got no sleep the first night at all. Remodeling hotel so was not the best time to have gone.

Room construction was going on and continued until 10pm friday night. Very disappointing. Should let quests know and not work at night.

Great location and nice hotel. The only complaint was the bed wasn't that cozy.

Although downstairs rennovations were going on, it was a relatively quiet and peaceful stay. I wasn't actually in my room much, only to eat and sleep as I was staying in town while attending a women's conference being held in the area. My schedule didn't allow me too much time to explore the hotel or even the surrounding area. The exercise room looked […] inviting...and I would have used it had I had more time. The food menu looked great...a little too pricey for my budget so I enjoyed the deli counter at the local market a short distance away. Parking was difficult mostly due to the rennovation going on but at least the elevator was working and I so appreciated that simple fact. Front desk and housekeeping staff were helpful and friendly. It's a nice atomosphere and I'd stay there if I could get a discounted room again. It's still pricey even with the disocunt but the view on the drives in and out of town are worth it! Läs mer

The quality of some of the rooms are not up to standard when it comes to expecting a "cool" place to stay. I spent one night on the top floor and the room was great, another night on the ground floor where the furnishings reminded me of a Motel 6.

If you are in SF and you need a car, parking and driving in the city is an expensive and difficult experience. Tiburon is a nice place to visit, and to get out of the crowds of SF. The Lodge is attractive, not fancy but offers a number of comfortable places to sit in front of a fireplace or on a deck/porch. Guests may check out up tot 2 DVDs to take […] to the DVD player in the rooms, which was great -- not having to pay a lot of money for pay per view. The restaurant and bar are quite nice -- pleasant atmosphere, great drink selection and food good as well. I would stay here again. My room was a little pricey, but for the Bay Area, probably a good value. Läs mer

Hotel was very nice. King bed super comfy and spa in room was such a treat. Very nice staff. No real views to speak of, but bay is short walk away. Will definately return here!

Arrived late in the evening... the room was a welcome site. Our sliding door opened onto a connecting deck on top of the first floor. The pool is under construction but we were given a notice to use another location if needed. The town is quite nice and the hotel is located near the bay- great walkway around the bay and a fine view of the Golden Gate. […] Some sweet restaurants in town. Wonderful stay for the price! We were upgraded to a spa suite because the pool and hot tub were cosed for renovations. The jet tub was amazing and relaxing. The bed and pillows made you feel like you were on cloud nine and I am a difficult person to please when it comes to bed comfort. The fire places and the fire pit on the hotel grounds makes the property feel very comforting. […] Was experiencing a weak wi-fi signal in the room though. Really enjoyed the library of dvd and book rentals. They even provided a dvd player in your room. Being from Monterey, CA I was impressed when I saw the Carmel Roasting Company coffee in the room. The double shower head was amazing and very spacious. The alarm clock with stereo was of great quality. Would definately return again and stay longer. Läs mer

This hotel has a beautiful lodge-like feel. It is right near the small town of Tiburon where there are restaurants, a grocery store and access to the ferry over to San Francisco. The room was a great size and very well maintained. The common areas offered indoor and outdoor seating to relax. Minor drawbacks were that the pool was under construction […] and that the drive out to the peninsula takes a little time, which should be taken into consideration if visitors plan on driving in and out of the city over the Golden Gate. I saw a review saying this hotel was "old" but I found exactly the opposite. Beautiful boutique hotel, great service, in a small quiet town away from the hustle of the city. Loved it!

I have used this hotel for business travel several times. By business, I mean a place I can escape from the hustle of the city and other business types as I call on customers. The hotel really needs an update, I thought the huge spa in my room was odd and out of place. Other than that, the hotel was quiet, nice and right by all the shops and restaurants.

A nice property with good amenities if a bit out of the way. Unfortunately our room failed a basic test, which was sufficient quiet to enjoy some additional morning rest. Sound travels from the upper floors and it sounded a lot like we were in the midst of a rugby scrum during what we hoped would be a chance to sleep in. I called to complain to the […] service staff. At that point, I suppose there was not much they can do. We then missed the ferry back to SF because the company did not arrive/depart on schedule. That meant an additional 2 hours in Tiburon that we would have rather had exploring Golden Gate park. Fortunately, we were not trying to make a flight. If the alternative is a night in SF, need to be careful in planning your travel. Läs mer

The rooms listed as traditional on this website are not okay. I'm pretty sure they rate well below a Motel 6. 'Old and busted' are apt descriptors. For that reason, I asked for another room, and got an updated corner spot more appropriate for the price. I'm not saying it was great, but it was suitable. Newer TV, fairly comfortable bed, enough space […] to turn around, etc. The bathroom was definitely not upgraded, and the shower pressure was set on nonadjustable 'needles'- not fun. But the only huge issue then was the noise factor- you can hear every sound through the windows and door as if they were all wide pen. Absolutely no weatherstripping or other adequate seals of any kind. Even with earplugs it was a struggle. It's too bad, because otherwise the (second) room was actually ok, and I really enjoyed the area. But the 'traditional' room ploy is abhorrent, and attention really needs to be paid to sealing up the cracks. There is no excuse for the incomplete update, the dirty halls or elevators, or the shoddy soundproofing. For these reasons, I will not return, even for a night. Too bad. Läs mer

Love this place....if you don't mind being a bit off the beaten path, it's the ideal way to experience Tiburon!

Tiburon is a wonderful place to stay if you plan to visit San Francisco. If you prefer not to be in the hustle of the city but want to be close Tiburon is perfect! The 1st room they gave to us was DIRTY. Then they made up an excuse when another guest came to complain and their room not being cleaned yet (it was 6pm) that they were sold out last night so everything was behind. That is unacceptable. Two unacceptable and outrageously loud parties were in progress when we returned to our room on a Saturday night. Complaining about the raucous noise to the front desk resulted in assurances that the throbbing amplified sound from the DJ would end at 11 p.m. (itself unacceptable) but when it didn't end by 11:20 we were told that actually two parties […] were in progress one of which did end at 11 p.m. and the second of which would end "shortly". By way of "apology for the inconvenience" we were given a coupon for a free breakfast the next morning - hardly any compensation for the totally unacceptable intrusion we endured into the peace and quiet we should have been able to expect. The front desk staff at check in was unimpressive; the music being piped throughout the property (Port-cochere, lobby, even from landscape speakers hidden in the bushes) was unnecessarily loud and annoying and on balance this was not a good experience. I expected less from this hotel because of the price but both my wife and I were very happy with the stay we had here. The room was beautiful and the ajoining restaurant was very good...lots of locals We walked along the path on the shoreline at night and enjoyed an incredible view of San Francisco, and the Golden Gate Bridge. We spent a day driving […] north along the coast to Bedoga Bay and to Armstrong State Park, the giant redwoods. We drove back through the wine country the vines were changing from green to red...beautiful. I've stayed in the city several times before and it's fun and there's a lot of local color and the tourist stuff but the Tiberon is better without the parking hassels and you can get in the city within minutes. We loved the hotel and everything about our stay. The staff were very helpful and the room was beautiful. We stayed for one week and were sorry to have to leave!

We spent three days at the Lodge after a hectic week in San Francisco and found it peaceful, comfortable and welcoming.

This was my first stay at the Tiburon Lodge and found it to be an excellent value. Have stayed in a number of name brand hotels on stops in southern Marin county and based on the value and location would stay at the Tiburon Lodge again.

I loved the location. I said no on the recommendation due to the room cost for a remodeled old hotel. Hotel lobby and general areas nice. Location great.

I loved the Lodge. It has a retro vibe with all modern conveniences. It's close to everything, whether you want to walk, bike or drive. Sure the fitness center is teeny tiny but you might as well walk in the fresh air along the bay with its amazing views. Totally enjoyed my short stay and will return in a heartbeat.

We had a great stay here. The room we had looked out onto the pool area. It was bright and very comfortable. Close enough to walk to all the fun spots in Tiburon. Will stay here again.
