Ett enkelt, hotell centralt beläget på Manhattan. Hjälpsam och trevlig personal, lite nedgånget och trångt, men ändå rent. Bedrövlig Wifi (signalen dog inne på rummet, fick sitta ute vid hissen i trapphuset och surfa), som vi dock fick gratis då rummet inte var riktigt klart när vi kom dit. Man ska ju inte förvänta sig något lyxhotell för slantarna, […] men sängen var helt okej, lakanen rena, och läget perfekt. Vi vistades väldigt lite på hotellet. Bra läge. Det är la det ända bra med Hotellet. Rummet va i dåligt skick. Lampor trasiga, Handdukar i olika färger, men fläckar på. Bodde i 2. våning, väldigt lydhört. Hörde allt som hände i hela hotellet, till och med när det ringde i reseptionen. När vi va där va detta hotell rätt dyrt, men pga vi va där i dyraste sensongen. Får du detta hotellet […] till en billig peng, så kan jag rekomendera detta. För man ska verkligen inte göra så mycket mer än att sova på ett hotel i New York. Enkelt men prisvärt hotell med mycket bra läge på Manhattan. Perfekt om man vill bo centralt och lägga pengar på annat än boende.

I doubt you'd be able to find a better price for such an excellent location. I don't understand why you'd complain about the cleanliness at that price. Sheets were clean, which is most important. Det kanske inte ser mycket ut för världen, eller för den sakens skull var speciellt mysigt, men för en ensamresande 29-åring kunde det inte bli mycket bättre än såhär. Läget var bra om man vill vara mitt i smeten, detta gör naturligtvis att man hör stadslivet utanför. Ingen utsikt från mitt rum. Liten, trång foaje och hiss, rummet och badrummet var stort enligt NY mått. Det var ostädat, skrynkliga lakan och jag fick hämta handdukar då detta saknades. Personalen var supertrevlig och det var bara att ringa om ngt saknades. […] Det bästa med hotellet var duschen, till skillnad mot de flesta platser jag besökt och bott på i NY, även dyrare hotell, var duschmunstycket avtagbart och vattentrycket bra. Annars brukar ducshen vara fäst i tak eller vägg och vattnet sippra ut så man ej blir ren eller får ut schampot ur håret. Läs mer

Trevlig receptionspersonal dygnet runt. Hotellet var inte så fräscht i verkligenheten som det såg ut på bilden. Lyhört. Snålt med handdukar och byten av dessa. Städningen var dålig. Trångt på rummet-det var litet . Inga sänglampor för den som vill läsa. Det fanns inte ens uttag till lampor vid sängarna. Läget bra på 38:e gatan.

Ett enkelt hotell, men mycket centralt i New York på Manhattan i korsningen 8 avenyn, 38 gatan. Rummet var något slitet, men rent. Sängen var bekväm. Luftkonditionering och tv fungerade bra. Inga problem med toalett eller dusch. Ett mycket prisvärt alternativ för dig som vill ha en bra plats att sova på.

The hotel wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed, but certainly wasn't what I expected. The location is great (can walk to Times Square, Central Park, etc), but other than that, not a great experience. The bed was really uncomfortable and not very big (they said it was a queen, however my feet hung way off the end of the bed). The bathroom didn't seem […] as clean as it should have been, and our sheets had a black stain on them. The worst part though, was our door. Most hotel doors immediately lock when they shut, but not this one. You had to mess with the handle and push it up to get it to lock. When we arrived, I accidentally pushed on the door before sliding the key in, and the door fell right open. We reported it to management, and they told us to jiggle the handle. When we left, we always made sure the door locked, but when the maintenance people came in to clean, they (unknowingly I'm sure) left the door open. it was the cheapest price in Manhattan,for the price it was OK, it was close to all the attraction, I would recommended.

very clean room at a budget no frllls hotel 6 illows and large pvt bath

Ok so here the deal with this place. It isn't the nicest place i've ever stayed but its not the worst. The cons were that it is an old hotel. Things were broken, there was duct tape on my wall, the elevator is SUPER tiny. With that said, it is a 5 min walk to times square - where you can get on the subway and get anywhere. The beds in the rooms may […] not have had the nicest linens but its was actually surprisingly comfortable (like one of the nicest beds i've ever slept in when staying at a hotel!). Yes, the rooms are small, but who comes to NYC to hang out in their hotel? The front desk staff was EXCELLENT. They were super nice and helpful with any question we had. Would I stay again? Probably - but i'm not picky - as long as it doesn't have bedbugs and has its own in-room shower I'm happy. Läs mer

Just a good hotel to spend a night or two.

the hotel was the worst thing i have ever experienced so far since the time that i have come to the u.s

this hotel was absolutely horrid. I am extremely dissatisfied with this and wish I hadn't wasted my money. Me and my boyfriend ended up switching hotels the next night, I was extremely disgusted with everything about the hotel.

If you just need a place to crash after touring the city then this place will get the job done! Close to the subway and main attractions! Long story short you get what you paid for but acceptable conditions. Consider it adventure lodging :-)

Bottom line.......room was dirty! Not just the bathroom and floor, but even the sheets were gritty - gross! Hotel staff were very nice...but I would never stay in the hotel again or recommend it to anyone. I can accept an outdated, small room with no ammenities....but dirty is NOT acceptable under any circumstances.

We are travelers who rarely pay too much attention to bad reviews because we are pretty easy to please with regards to general hotelservice and rooms. All we were looking for was a place to sleep for the night...but here we weren't even able to do that properly! The walls in this hotel are so thin that you can hear a whisper coming from the next room! […] Every time someone staying on the same coridoor as us left their room in the morning or came back late from a night out we were woken up by their conversations echoing through the hotel and being amplified due to the terrible acoustics. The rooms are filthy and we were NEVER given clean towels and toilet roll. The location of the hotel was fantastic. It took us less than five minutes to walk to time square...but I would still pay a little more to avoid all the trouble and sleepless nights we had here! This place is extremely ghetto. I grant that the location is good. The rooms are not taken care of and ultra dirty. If you are okay with this or have no other choice I guess its okay to stay here.

The people at the front desk were all very much friendly and helpful. The room is small so its not a place where you would actually have no more the 2 people in a room cause you wold litterally be on top of each other. The bathroom was clean but the tub was kinda scary. Bring your own towels & shower shoes. My 12yr old son was not trying to place his […] feet in there and kids are always honest. But The location was PERFECT! So if your sight seeing and hanging out ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. its great. But to camp out and relax, its not the place for you. Läs mer

It's difficult to really get across to you how awful this place really is. What was so bad: I got close enough to the bed to see two gray hairs (never mind that the sheets were so old that they were pilled like an old cheap sweater), there was no heat, the air-conditioner cover was a square of carpet that attached with duct tape, the floor looked like […] something out of a condemed building. Despite all of the awful reviews this place has gotten, I give it *almost* glowing reviews because I expected my room to be small, some construction on the upper floors, and perhaps some noise. It's a place to lay your head down, and a fine one at that. The place was with dirty renovations not secured. Expensive, no breakfast, 14 inch TV in a hole in the wall, room was not ready even at 7 PM ... Go somewhere else !

it is a budget hotel, the room is pretty small and the towels are kind of dirty. no air condition in my room and the heater that I got from the front desk did not work at all. very good location, walking distance to Time Sque and two subway station. the price is not budget at all. you can spend about 10 - 20 more bucks to get a way better hotel in the […] same area. The hotel surprised me when I first saw it: a glass door in a recessed wall with a vertical "Hotel" sign being the only indication that it was there at all. Going inside, the lobby looked friendly and rather nice, the woman who checked me in was also friendly and worked quickly to give me the key card to my room. I was surprised to see the elevator […] was so small, but it looked clean and worked well, so it just seemed like a minor thing. I was again surprised when I opened the door to my room: the room was small (it seemed like an average dorm room in size) and the bathroom seemed like it hadn't been fixed up in quite some time. There was a large hole in the wall, hidden by the bed, there was a small wardrobe without any door and hardly any hanging space, and the door to the bathroom wouldn't stay shut without a second latch. The blankets, pillow cases, and towels all looked to have been obtained through donation and upcycled: they appeared to be children's blankets and towels, judging by the colorful patterns. I would also like to note the lack of seemingly tiny conveniences: there were no cups or glasses provided to drink from, the only soap in the room was a tiny bar of facial soap, and the garbage from the last customer was not cleared, but left in a large red plastic bag hanging by the door (I placed the bag in the garbage bin at the end of my stay). The room was comfortable in terms of temperature, but had no noise insulation; a very bad thing in a New York hotel with noisy traffic and noisy late-night customers. I will say one thing though: the customer service was exemplary. They checked me in and out in a matter of minutes and offered several interesting locals nearby the hotel and transport to get there; I didn't take them up on the offers, but it was pleasant all the same. I don't recommend this hotel, especially for an extended stay, but I suppose this hotel would be best used as a late-night rest stop or for very short stay. Läs mer

I recently stayed at the Manhattan Broadway Budget Inn. All of the reviews scared me a little but it was not bad. The rooms are very small but very clean! The hotel is not in the best condition, a bit run-down, and the heat was not working well. Great location though and staff was very friendly. The room was a hodgepodge of furnishings, and the bed/pillows were quite uncomfortable. In the morning, the sound of water running woke me up when anyone used the water. The door was sort of broken and wouldn't close 100%, just enought to lock it. However, the staff was friendly and it is a wonderful location and is safe. It has been just one night but a really bad one. A small room with single beds, with a little window but no view - just a wall. The Bathroom was cleaned very bad. Very loud, because you heard anything. Reception-Service was ok. A plus: you could store your baggage for 2$

this hotel was excellent for what we paid. The location to the parts of New York were spectacular. We basically just needed a place to lay our heads for the night - and this place was perfect for that. We did get room cleaning in 10 days only twice, have to pick up towels by us self, as well rubbish bags...and a big minus because there is no window in the room...people by the desk were kindly and helpful...

For the price that I paid for the night's stay, I cannot complain. I will admit that some of the other guests' comments from the website freaked me out but once I got into the room I was happy. I was upgraded to a suite which was nice of the hotel staff. As for location, I took the train into the city and the hotel was only 5 blocks from Penn Station. […] I did find a nice bar a block away called the Houndstooth Tavern where we had drinks and a good meal. BUGGERS ON THE WALL, CRAP ON THE FLOOR!!! I AIN"T STAYIN" HERE NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!!

You get what you pay for. No window, no closet, no hangers, no iron. Imagine your college dorm room without a window.

Mgr was great & cheerful but our sheets were dirty & no clean sheets could/would be brought to our room so I slept clothed on top of the bed. The whole place had new tile but no grout or area carpets. Bathroom shower & tub were noticably dirty as well. Waited til early evening following day to get it all cleaned. A/C worked great! Barebones hotel with maintenance and pest problems -- stay away.

For someone on a short stay wanting to see the sites and travel from the heart of the city to either end of Manhattan this is a great jumping off point. The room was definitely budget in furnishings but for the price the bathroom was spacious and shower was great. Only problem was the heat in the room and the air-con unit was so noisy it was unsocial […] to put it on all night. May not be the case in all the rooms so check first. The friendly and helpful counter staff offering pre-pay tickets to some of the major sites more than made up for any quibbles we had and they have a cheap service for leaving your bags after you check out that really helped us out. A Filthy , Run Down , Crack House in Ill Repair

It's not exactly the Ritz, but it's a great place to stay on the cheap in NYC. We went to Bens, which is right down the block for happy hour and had 4 Sam's & 4 glasses of wine for $14. Had dinner next door for 3 w/drinks for $60. Great neighborhood if you like to get into the guts of NYC. No foo foo, but close enough to it.
