The hotel was obviously below capacity due to low season (May) such that a calm and "quality-focused" atmosphere was everywhere. Rooms were excellent, restaurants very good, and staff unfailingly friendly. The pool and beach areas are beautifully presented. My favourite hotel. We have been staying here for over 20 years and it is our second home. I love everything about the place. Hard to fault it. We upgraded to a two bedroom villa that is 800 square metres. Absolute heaven. Loved the furnishings, the appointments, the huge pool and private back yard. The bale is bigger than a normal room. Had a wonderful two hour massage and facial at the spa to finish our stay. The hotel was obliging about late check out and gave us the hotel car to take us to the airport at 7.30pm, we were met by a butler who took us and our luggage right through the check in counter to customs. This place is a heaven. If you are looking to enjoy your holiday hassle free then this is the place. Every minute detail is been taken care off in this resort. We booked this resort for four days and we actually extended for another three days. This is a place for romantic couples and also with Family. Lovely hotel, enjoyed every minute. Hotel staff superb & very friendly. Room spacious & lovely spa bath for two. Breakfast had a great variety, evening cocktails at happy hour excellent value. Loved just laying on the sun lounges on the beach under the trees. All in all fantastic & we will definitely be back.

We loved the food in Awana restaurant - consistently good in quality and well presented. The venue here for food lovers. The KulKul beach bar was relaxed and fun with the band at cocktails at happy hour. The pools were fantastic and it was great to be on the beach too. The service was excellent and always friendly and warm.

Wonderful hotel in every way, we were upgraded to a suite. I wasn't feeling well one day and spoke to the doctor who looked after me .a few hours later a lovely arrangement of flowers arrived to the room and they offered to send me up a late breakfast as they knew that I had missed mine.

First room was lagoon access. The room was very musty and the shower was no higher than an adults chest. The room we moved to was an upgrade to a lagoon access junior suite. The room was very nice but on the second day sawing and hammering went on next door all day which made the lagoon access we paid extra for almost unusable during the day. This was very important as the tide went out each afternoon for most of the day. The beach was quite nice and clean. Plenty of chairs on the beach and around the pools. Restaurants at the hotel were a bit dissapointing. Breakfast was quite good though. Coffee was very good too! Dinners were nothing to remember. Drink were a bit more than over-priced as otherr have mentioned. $ 5.50 US for a can of Coke is a bit over the top! The seafood buffet was not worth $40 US. The squid was not cleaned or cooked properly and the shrimp was not deveined. The Ikan restaurant at the Westin just up the beach is a much better value and has very good food. Läs mer

We loved our time at the Laguna - the staff were fantastic, the resort was beautiful and the food was scrumptious. The complimentary afternoon tea was a real treat! It was my second time at the hotel and I would not hesitiate to book again if we travel back to Bali.

I spent 2d/3n in this hotel purely for relaxing after 3 weeks of travel. It's located south of the island, so it's a bit far if you want to go to Kuta or Ubud frequently; this is best if you want to have a resort holiday or a bit of a mix. Very good hotel, well run, "manicured" environment. Food can look pricely compared to Jimbaran sea food restaurants. One have to check tide charts first and only then set dates of travel, otherwise she may end up with the almost bare cay during day-time, as the difference between high and low tide can reach stunning two meters.

Our expectations were met and exceeded by the resort. Great friendly and courteous staff, lots of smiles and help when needed. Options for pool locations were really appealing. Bars and food areas always be in the right place when needed. Included breakfasts were a bonus and options for all. Drinks a little expensive however as expected for such a quality […] 5 star resort but less expensive that the Rock Bar at the Ayana Resort in Jimbaran. The Spa was brilliant but male and female bathrooms not always fully equipped with towels and found attendants of the opposite sex attending to things while occupied. Loved the butler service! My family had a wonderful week. The hotel is beautiful (not new but well maintained), as is the beach. We had inter-connecting rooms that opened directly to the lagoon. This was a great family option as the children could swim while we relaxed on the balcony or the deck chairs opposite. The spa was totally 5 star, and we enjoyed massages, facials and […] a few things from the Junior Menu, including the Mom & Me Facials. The staff were all great (including the friendly butler service that will bring you tea in the morning). Wine is expensive (even compared to Thailand) but that is tax so the same all over Bali. Arwana at the beach is just a lovely, lovely place to eat, although the children loved the other restaurant due to the chocolate fountain. We used the SPG Kids Pass and that was worthwhile.There's no kids club but enough to do and a daily activity for kids, kite flying, nail art etc. Improvements? There's no movie channel and a terrible selection of DVDs at the front desk. The gym was very hot (but well equipped!). More kids activities? Overall, a great holiday and a wonderful place to stay. Hotel: The set-up is great. The hotel is surrounded by a pool & the gardens are immaculate. Whilst the common areas (incl. the furniture in the lobby and the carpeted areas in the hallways) are dated and worn-out, the furniture in our room was adequate. The free Wi-Fi was a big plus but the password changes daily (no one tells you unless you enquire). Service: […] The service levels were good. However, a local politician stayed in our wing for the first few days of our stay & the people servicing the wing were impolite. They refused us access to the lift (even though it’s been two separate wings) & we had to use the stairs to the 4th floor each time (carrying things or not!). This was frustrating. Food: The restaurants at the hotel are good & the breakfast buffet has many options. There is also a little deli on the hotel grounds which provides a small range of snacks/light meals etc. For alternatives, the Bali Collection complex (shopping & restaurants) is only a 10min walk away. Spa: The hotel spa was running a great special for massages near the beach, which were great. I also had a facial in the spa itself, but the products used for my facial started ‘burning’ my skin & the next morning, my face was red and puffy (not sunburn). The skincare brand was unfamiliar (not one of well-known cosmetic houses) & I do not recommend any of the treatments that use these products. Summary: Generally speaking the hotel is pleasant. i particulcarly enjoyed the gardens and surrounds of this hotel...even the enclosed suburb was perfectly landscaped right up to their doorstep...only downside was the isolation of nusa dua...a half hour taxi ride ( $6-$8 ) to kuta or the airport....however if lounging by the pool and paying top dollar ( by bali standards anyway ) for food and drinks […] is your sort of holiday then this romantic destination is for you....I prefer to be able to walk out of a hotel and see the culture and the sights....otherwise a pretty and romantic resort. Staying at the Laguna Beach Resort and Spa was a pleasant surprise. I was in Jakarta on business and decided to take a mini holiday to Bali to relax and I am so pleased I found a hotel that allowed me to do this. Many restaurants close by to choose from and the hotel breakfast is more than adequate. In all, well worth the visit if you are looking for a five star hotel with exceptional value

The hotel is set in the most wonderful grounds, with an abundance of mature trees and attractive shrubs. The pools are phenomenal, and pristine. It is set on the beach which again is pristine - there are several guys employed to keep it leaf and litter free. The only drawback with the hotel is the cost of food and drinks, but if you are a) happy to […] pay resort prices or b) eat outside of the hotel at the nearby Bali Collection, then this hotel cannot be beaten. We spent 10 days at the Laguna and generally had a very enjoyable time. I visited Bali 12 yrs previously and have dreamt of returning to the country in all that time. It was my favourite location I have ever visited. Unfortunately, I now feel the Island has lost some of that magic- The Island has capitalised on its tourist trade and the sparkle has […] gone, for me anyway. The craft villages no longer encourage the tourists to walk round and barter with the locals. Tourist centres have been set up- which every taxi driver delivers you to, inside secured gates. Then you pay well over the odds for goods in each of these air conditioned centralised stores. All shops don't have prices on their goods, so they can charge the tourists an elevated price. In some cases, despite the expected bartering- you tire of the effort!! Even visiting Jimbaran for a romantic sunset dinner on the beach, we were driven into a restaurant by the taxi driver- Yes into the restaurant itself-where you are then led from the vehicle to a table so we didnt get the chance to walk up and down to decide ourselves which restaurant we were going to eat. Our driver delivered us to the restaurant that he recieved commision for- and then when we paid up after our drink (I wasnt having this!!), and subsequently ate at a different restaurant- on returning to our taxi driver, as agreed- we were told by the grissly restaurant staff that 'he has gone home because you didnt eat at this restaurant'. Thankfully the Laguna hotel was very comfortable and we ended up staying 'put' far more than I envisaged during the days and enjoying the facilities and our room. The staff were delightful and the hotel was v good overall. However here are the negatives of the hotel: 1/ Prices of food and drink unnecessarily high at the hotel, particularly as the food was not that spectacular- a little samey after a while. Have stayed at every hotel in Nusa Dua. The laguna is the best, second Westin, third Nusa Dua Beach and 4th Melia Bali. We had a pool access room which was great. Hotel has plenty pools and never feels crowded.

Super pretty hotel gardens/lagoons and very friendly staff - a real 5 star hotel! The private beach is clean and quiet. The breakfast is impressive I have to say! Close to the shopping complex, Bali Collection, which offers a wide range of restaurants, spas and shops. In short, a great hotel to stay for a relaxing family or romantic occasion!

Had a great time at the Laguna. Prices within the hotel were costly (assuming it's the same most places in Nusa Dua though) and we were dissapointed to find that the happy hour in place in the early evenings for drinks and pizzas when friends had stayed recently had ceased. Great experience, the facilities are in perfect condition and nicely decorated with Balinese style. The stuff is incredible polite and professional in their jobs, always showing a true smile, speaks perfectly english almost all of them. Great location in Nusa Dua.
