Kids splash area is GREAT!!! Lots of swimming options & beautiful beach. Rooms are a little outdated but everything was really clean & bed was comfortable. Will visit again & would recommend to friends.

The hotel was very clean and welcoming. The motel upgraded our room to a beachside room which had an amazing view. We took our trip at the end of spring break so there were a few guests surrounding us that were loud and could be heard through the walls. Pictures of this property are not reflective of the actual rooms. This hotel has a wonderful courtyard and if you are able to get a beachfront room, those are great. The rest of the hotel property are Super 8 quality with a cheap hotel look and smell.

Well our stay begain with not being able to get in our room becouse the card reader was broken. Then we had to park on the oppisite side of the hotel becouse there were trailors parked on our side taking up 3 spaces each. The room was not clean. The bathroom was nasty. Hotel is generally pretty nice. We were a little annoyed that for the price, breakfast was not included. Breakfast food is cafeteria quality. We ended up eating elsewhere. Room bathrooms are very dated, but clean. Pools are really really nice. Beach access excellent. We were also annoyed we had to rent the chairs on the beach. Really???

It's a good location with volleyball nets right outside on the beach and lots to do next door. I stayed in one of the cheapest rooms off the parking lot and got what I payed for. The walls are rather thin so that was annoying, but what got me most was the shower. We have stayed at this hotel several times. The rooms are a bit dated but the amenities make up for it. We enjoy being right on the beach, the many pools, splash park, and awesome landscape. It is only about a 5 minute drive to local attractions in Destin.

The location of the hotel was excellent. It is right on Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach, you can walk to the beach. In the past I have stayed over the bridge. I stayed last year down Santa Rosa at the Holiday Inn Express. I enjoyed the resort feel of the Ramada more than the Holiday Inn; however, I did appreciate that the Holiday Inn offered there guests complimentary umbrellas and chairs for each day stayed. Overall, my family and I had a great time. They even had an Easter Egg Hunt for my 3 year old!

Although the hotel is older, Ramada has done a great job updating the rooms. The front desk could not find my reservation, only to find out it had been canceled with a wedding group with the same last name. The hotel rectified the situation and all went well from there. I question why this is a 3 star rating, I would rate it more like a 2.5 star. There are 3 buildings, 2 with outside access rooms and 1 against the beach with inside access rooms. We were upgraded to the inside rooms building with a room facing the grotto pool area. The room was clean but its a fairly old hotel in need of some updates in the rooms, specifically […] the bathroom. The lighting in the bathroom was via florescent lights behind a plastic grid drop ceiling. I'm not sure if it was even up to code since above the tub area it was the same ceiling and lights as the rest of the bathroom. Also, the doors to the outside did not have a good seal, temperatures outside were fine but you could clearly see light through the door jam. Our room had a balcony with a door and it too had a bad seal. I wouldn't avoid this hotel just because of these suggested improvements, the staff was nice, the place was clean, its just older and it shows. PS - The temps were in the 60's and 70's when we stayed and the grotto pool is not heated so guests were hanging out at the smaller heated pool (and it was nicely heated). The hotel rooms are a little smaller than a typical hotel room, but all the extras of this place make up for it greatly. We enjoyed everything about the place from the location (walking distance along the beach to the Boardwalk) and the fact that there was a beach bar, Alvin's Island located within the resort and pools and hot tubs. I stayed at this hotel 2 years ago, and this was my first time back since then. I realized now that the hotel seems sort of dated. The walls are all a weird yellow, which really does not look good. The room was pretty nice, but the sheets were a little uncomfortable, and the comforter looked like it needed updating too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ramada. I had just returned from Afghanistan and wanted a romantic get-a-way with my wife. We stayed close to the hotel for 5 days and used room service extensively. The prices were good and the service was excellent and friendly. This is the 3rd time we've stayed in this hotel. We always enjoy staying here. It's located right on the beach, has a beach bar, has several pools, including 1 heated, 1 baby pool, a large pool, whirlpool. The staff was very nice, extra towels and pillow was delivered within minutes of calling the front desk. The rooms were clean, beds comfy, cleaned […] well everyday. Hotel is updated, fresh paint and it smells great. I know that is funny but every where we went at the hotel it smelled like it had been freshly washed with soap! Restaurant is has great food, bar had several tvs. Hotel is located close to other restaurants. There is also a huge play ground area that is a water park type, has areas that spray up and at you. We went in Oct this time and it was too chilly for kids to play there, but the heated pool, whirlpool and ocean were great temps to swim in. The main attraction for this hotel for me was the Grotto bar that you can swim up to, turns out it was closed and the pool hadn't been cleaned. The hotel is old and needs to be updated. The amenities of the pool, hot tub & grounds are very nice but in need of painting. The rooms are horribly outdated and very small. We couldn't even sit at the table because it was pushed up so close to the window because there was no room. There is an odor in the hallways. The hotel offered multiple amenities from bars to shopping to play areas for the kids. You could easily have all your needs met at this one spot. We enjoyed being able to get beverages & food without leaving the compound. The grounds are well kept and there is something for everyone. Great Location....Has the most wonderful waterfall pool. Right on the beach and close to everything. Starting to show her age, but still a great stay. Could use some new beds, but the Waterfall coming off a cave that you swim into a bar, and the beach right on the property makes up for any discomforts. Highly Recommend.

I can honestly say that this will be my last time staying at this hotel. The water part of the hotel was fine,but make sure to wear shoes;its liable that you can catch a foot fungus. The room was ok,but my floor was so sticky,had to keep my flip flops on. The ac was soooo loud and half the time did not work. We woke up hot many morning. The toilet ran […] all night. I called for maintenance to come up to fix it and they did, but it kept running hours later. The room was clean,i had to go buy cleaning products so i could take a shower and sit on the toilet. I can say that the housekeepers were very nice, along with the staff. But I am one for comfort and i didn't feel right staying there at night. I only stayed due to it being ; Labor Day weekend and that the wedding was held there. Oh and the location for having a wedding reception there on the 6th floor was great! But over priced on the food. If you just need a place to stay,this hotel will do, but if ya want to be comfortable please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! Läs mer

I've stayed at this exact hotel numerous about 10 years ago, and the accomodations were always awesome. However, going back this time, it is obvious they're falling apart. The rooms and bathrooms were extremely dirty. Called for 2 separate cleanings due to urine and blood in the bathroom at check in, and never got a single follow up from the manager. […] You could easily tell the carpet was 10 years old due to the wear. Of course the matted dirt didn't help it's look either. In addition, we were not given pool side, as we paid for, but only a view. We argued with the front desk, but they stated they were full. Now they argued all this, while Hurrican Issac was projected to hit Destion in a few days, and the hotel had literally 20 cars in the parking lot of a 400+ room hotel. I went to the Ramada with my girlfriend and a buddy but we were all under the age of 25 so i had to pay a $200 deposit. Not really that big of a deal til i went to check out and when they were "checking" the room and the claimed they found a hole in a wall.
