We loved the fresh bananas, apples & oranges every morning. Also they had a good selection of cereals. They seem to be one of the few that has regular Corn Flakes (which doesn't have a lot of sugar). Considering the price I paid I thought it was an excellent place to stay and plan to return. The hotel is a little dated but was clean and comfortable with a friendly staff that was helpful with info and directions. Had a creek view room and it was fantastic. The morning breakfast was light and enough to get me through to lunch and the staff were friendly. Overall great hotel in a convenient, picturesque location! Will use this hotel again.

Room exceeded expectaions. It was big with a creekside view, lots of pillows, and the bathroom was roomy as well. We took advantage of the heated pool and hot tub. There was nothing negitive to say about our stay. The hotel doesn't have an elevator for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. Very nice hotel, on "restaurant row". Close to the University, and not far off path. cost effective, nice customer service. However, downstairs did smell of smoke due to smoking rooms. (ours did not)

Only issue is the lobby had an extreme chlorine smell from the adjacent pool. Entire ground floor smelled of chlorine. Need to exhaust the pool properly. Otherwise a nice hotel, clean rooms, good beds, etc.

Everything was great. I just wish there were more things open in the area. Everything was pretty much closed except the ski resort.

Very nice place to stay especially if you are on a budget! Only wished we knew that Maggie Valley litterally turned into a ghost town after their tourist season was over! Probably would have enjoyed it more had we stayed there "in season."

The hotel room, staff, location, creek-side location and in door swimming pool are all awesome! I can not express how wonderful our stay was compared to the low price. The breakfast was great and the hotel staff (especially Lucy) were all so helpful. The only downside to this hotel is there is not an elevator to the 2nd floor. We stayed here overnight for the Western Carolina open house. We loved the creekside room and the wonderful staff at the front desk. Since we booked online, check in took about 5 minutes. The room was very clean. We also took advantage of the included breakfast. The breakfast was far better than what we first expected. The room was okay and bed comfortable. However it was cramped if someone was sitting at the desk to use the computer. The breakfast was fair. My biggest complaint was with check in. I had called before I booked to make sure there was an elevator and was told there was one. When I arrived around 6:00 I was given a room on the second floor. When I realized […] there was no elevator I told the clerk that I was disabled and had great difficulty with stairs. She said she could book me at another hotel but all rooms with Ramada were booked land she could not give me accommodations on the first floor. Another couple came in right after me who had also booked on-line with hotels.com and she gave them a room on the first floor. I asked the couple if they had requested a room on the first floor and they said they had not. The clerk was very rude. I would never stay in this hotel again. Läs mer

My room was not ready for over an hour after the posted check-in time which was a great inconvenience. That aside, it was a spacious, comfortable room. The bathroom and other areas of the hotel could really use updating. However, I found my room clean and comfortable.

I requested a creekside room and when I got there I was given a room with a small window overlooking the entrance roof. The lady at the front desk said she hated the third party online booking sites and that they gave me that room. She offered to upgrade me to a room with a balcony for an additional cost, I declined as I was only staying one night. […] When I first entered the room it smelled pretty bad so I opened the window to try to rid some of the smell, it didn't work. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. although there were stains on the bedroom wall and one on the side of the tub/shower. The desk clerks were very helpful and courtious. Mom and I enjoyed the creek flowing, had a fun couple of days and loved having the pool all to ourselves.

didn't know what to expect since we had never been there, but it was a friendly hotel with good service. clean, modern rooms in an older hotel. great breakfast choices. wish i'd asked for a creek side room, but i can appreciate the people watching angle as well. nice 2 night stay and we would go back.

Overall stay was fine, the patio could have used some cleaning as there was crumbs from the previous tenent. The lighting in the bathroom needs to be brighter. If you like medium or hard pillows bring your own as the pillows are soft. It served our purpose.

The hotel was basically good. The outer doors had malfunctioned in the rain, soaking me while I tried to enter the building. The wifi was down the two days I was there and there didn't seem to be any urgency to replace the defective hardware.
