Pluses: The locations is great! Such a variety of places to eat at different price points all within a short walking distance. A short drive for our family to all the great Vancouver BC sites. Customer service at the front desk was top notch. John, the manager was so hospitable and gave us great local info. The room's decor was very stylish through […] and through. Modern kitchenette with even a dishwasher (and they provide you with dishes, pots, and silverware) - wow! Free wifi was a real plus! The free hot breakfast was impressive - they don't just have the exact same menu each morning. The heated pool is large enough to play and swim around in. Minuses (and these are very minor) - the parking can be a little tight, but the garage is safe and clean. The hot tub temp was way too hot (we heard other guests complaining about this, too). Great hotel, lovely room, very spacious and a great little kitchenette. Bathroom had an awesome shower. Location was great and you could walk to most attractions easily but public transport very close too. Only negative was the complimentary breakfast. Not very tasty & a little bland.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night stay at this hotel. It was very clean. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was great. The hotel was located close to many of the places that we wanted to go. Overall, it was fabulous and made our stay in Vancouver enjoyable.

Breakfast was amazing!!! Staff was exceptional and very nice and friendly. Made a point to say hello and make us feel welcome. I would go back to this hotel anytime even though it was sort of near the edge of downtown. Area was safe and everything was pretty much walking distance.

The hotel was great!! A lot of renovations since the last time we were they. We are a family of four and LOVED the room and the cleanliness of everything. The location is ideal, and there is a Starbucks in the hotel restaurant! The hot buffet breakfast was switched up everyday so you didn't feel like you were always getting the same food...awesome idea! […] We needed to make a call for more toiletries and the hotel staff were there within minutes!! I don't usually give a perfect score to a hotel, but this place is truly great. Everything is clean and comfortable. There has obviously been a recent refurbishing and everything seems to have been incredibly well thought out. It's like a brand new hotel. We were traveling with young kids so it's great to have a nice pool in the hotel, as well as breakfast included so you don't need to drag them around to a restaurant. The room was spacious with two queen beds and a nice kitchenette. Right downtown.

This is my second time staying in Residence Inn. I love a few things here: room with kitchen (samsung fridge, plates/silverware, etc), 42" LG LCDTV (1080p, hdmi easily hooked up), alarm clock with Ipod/iphone port, comfortable bed and washroom; never crowded fitness center and pool/hott-tub. The pool size and water depth are very suitable to novice […] swimmer like me. Free breakfast until 9am is a big plus at a hotel at this high quality grade! I didn't need to mention the cleanliness and friendly staffs. They are all above average! I moved among Sutton, Sharaton and this one during my travel, since they are in close price range. Right as we entered the beautiful and spacious reception, we knew this is a good hotel. The staff was very helpful and attentive to all our needs and questions - calling cabs, printing documents, etc. Our room was very nicely decorated although it was a bit smaller than I understood from the description. Anyway, the kingsize bed was the best bed I've […] ever slept in - firm, comfy, with good quality pillows. We slept so well that we missed both of our complementary breakfasts (6.30 - 9)so I can't rate those. The only thing that could be improved is the overall cleanliness of the room - some of our bathroom towels were spotty and smelled weird. The entrance for check-in was a little hard to find due to the bike lane that is directly in front of the hotel, but after that, the service was flawless! The bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette in the room was very well equipped and very clean.

Really good experience and good value for what we paid. Breakfast buffet is generous and convenient. Pool is small, but was clearly advertised as such, so no problem. We were the only ones using it. Hotel was clean and nice. Great addition of the kitchen. Bathrooms are beautiful and work well. The noise from showers in other rooms were annoying when you are trying to sleep. The parking stalls are tiny and wasn't happy to pay $19.99 per day to park. The hot breakfast was awesome, we enjoyed it! We will be staying here again.

I've been staying in residence for a while and let me say this it never failed me. This Vancouver residence inn is a bit different than the others in terms of design but overall it just delivers. there was a great Italian rest down the street that the hotel recommended. when we got there they asked for our reservation and we didn't have one but the hotel recommended it, they gave us a table right away and the food was amazing!!! 75$ for 2 but worth it!! the hotel is not that close to the attractions but it was walkable to everywhere but Stanley […] park.would highly recommend it!!! The hotel was perfectly located just a short walk from all the gay nightlife, the hotel was recently remodeled and looked brand new. The staff was friendly. The breakfast left a bit to be desired, but it was free. A little discouraged by the cost of parking, which is not included in the room rates.

Our second time staying here, although first after the conversion to a Marriot. The "re-fresh" is great and we love the kitchen and breakfast. Vancouver is always pricey, but we love the location. Easy to get to Grainville Market, but also downtown or Stanley Park if you aren't afraid to walk a bit. We'd certainly stay again.

Rooms a little small compared to other residence inns I have stayed at but clean, new and up to date. Area it is in off beaten path and requires transportation to get to tourist attractions. neighbourhood not the greatest compared to hotels closer to water front. Whebn checking in our room was not ready. Then they put us in a room that was not the right style we had booked and paid for. Then it took 20 mins for us to get into the correct room, missing the start of or meeting! When checking out the receptionist asked how my stay was and when I said it wasnt very good, she did not offer anty further discussion […] to see of the problems! Very poor foloow up!!! Nice hotel though but with service like this I am sure there will be another hotel that will take my money next time! Also the signage to the parking was not very well seen. The location was good, a few blocks walk to downtown and city transportation. While the staff was friendly and helpful, we asked for extra towels and never received them. We booked the room and paid for 4 adults, but when we arrived, tired from a long cruise we were told then that there was a $20 per person extra charge to have 2 additional adults stay […] in the room. We were not aware of this fee because it was not listed on Expedia when we booked. I plan to contact Expedia to dispute the charges because the hotel was not willing to work with us. Läs mer

We stayed at the Residence in for four night. it was very clean. They have a great complimentary hot breakfast. In addition to the usual continental fare, they have scrambled eggs, and some type of meat and potatoes. They also do something creative with the surplus ingredients from the previous days breakfast, such as making mini-burritos. It is a five minute walk to the sea wall where people walk and bike next to the water, or to the Aqua Taxi for a quick trip to Granville Island. it is about a 20-30 minute walk to Stanley Park, one of the premier attractions in Vancouver. However, Stanley Park is huge. It is better both for touring Stanley Park as well as the city to take the Hop On/Hop Off trolley. You can get a large dose of Vancouver with this trolley. The drivers are well-versed in Vancouver, plus they have a great sense of humor. We loved Vancouver and highly recommend it. Excellent. The only flaw was that one elevator was down for two days and caused delays. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would recommend it.
