This motel was very clean although the hallway smelled heavily of smoke. Even though the breakfast was set up in the lobby, it was clean and offered a good variety. The clerks were very pleasant and helpful.

"Not so happy"
Hotel location was less than ideal. It sat right off a busy street with lots of traffic and our room was in the front. The rooms were not very well sound proofed. You could hear everything going on in the area around you. Shortly before leaving the maid walked into the room without knocking or announcing herself. "Nice Hotel easy to find good access to events"
This is a nice but older hotel, it is clean and quiet. Easy access from the main road and close to all events.

I don't ever write reviews or take surveys. However I was so impressed with our stay and the rate we paid. The staff was so courteous and the rooms had everything we needed and very clean! I will def stay again!

Night clerk was pleasant, day clerk not helpful. Room was clean, ac-heat unit would not turn off by itself. Breakfast was very poor. Grounds in coffee, not much else to say as a positive. If this is the best ranking for Dodge City I will stay elsewhere in the future.
Overall: very good with caveats. First floor room to back of motel was quiet. Temperature control: good. Room service: great. We stayed 2 days and they attentively cleaned the room after we left and did not hover. Breakfast bar: clostrophobic. It sits to the side of the lobby, and one person can block the whole area. If you are at the bar, 2-3 people […] are behind you waiting. Shower: hot/cold regulation is questionable. You get it set, and then it will fluctuate. "Delightful Stay"
We went during the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, NM. A few mornings, we would see the Balloons passing over the hotel. The hotel staff were very helpful in printing directions of their choice of Mexican Restaurants. It was close to all the events we wanted to go to which made for a stress free vacation.

The hotel was fine. The bathroom was very small especially for 2 people to fit in. The breakfast was very good. We were impressed with that. The biscuits and gravy were very good! The price was ok. If we had of reserved it sooner we could have gotten a better rate.

We are happy to have received a free pocketbook upon our arrival, a good gesture of the warm welcome by the receptionist on duty.

"As good as any other in Dodge City"
Dodge City is an interesting place, so I recommend a look around. This hotel like others in this area is older with patch cosmetics. The hallway had a bad odor, but the room was ok. We did have a problem with a clogged toilet to which we were given a plunger to rectify. (The front desk staff was always friendly and appeared concerned about our comfort.) […] There was a plumbing access cover outside the bathroom next to the in-room safe that kept falling off. There was also a lot of ceiling paint in the bathroom that was peeling due to the moisture. Beds were comfortable. Shower was hard to turn on, but it sufficed. We could see an outdoor pool from our window which looked clean, but we didn't go to. It was small and 4 guys drinking beer were in it for a long time. Later it still looked crowded, so some people did get enjoyment out of it. The breakfast was just a small continental, but got us started for our next day of driving. All in all, it's an ok place for a one night stay. Just don't expect too much. Läs mer

"NO ELEVATOR"
First, the good: The hotel was fine and the staff was pleasant. When I checked in, I was asked if the third floor was fine. I said it was. However, I didn't realize the hotel had no elevator. So I got to lug all our bags (family of 5) up to the third floor. Also, we forgot to put the "DND" sign on the outside of the door, so starting about 8:30, every […] 10 min someone would tap on our door and say "housekeeping." located on main streets leading to attractions, easy to find. No mention of breakfast on website, but was served an excellent breakfast. Only drawback was a very small eating area. Some guests had to take their plates back to their room as there was no place for them to sit.

The hotel was clean. The breakfast was sufficient. Plan to stay there again next week. The only negative point I have is the smell of the stock yards, I guess it is. Very potent at times, when you step outside.

"Dodge City is cow poo capital of the world! Gross!"
The hotel was fine with a great breakfast in the morning, but if I ever need to travel through Kansas again, I will avoid Dodge City at all costs. That place smells of cow poo like nothing I've ever experienced. I drove through central Kansas earlier in the week, and that's the route I will take from now on. It seemed to be cow poo-free.

We were very happy to have a quiet nights sleep in a nice clean, comfortable room. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave me toothpaste that I had forgotten. They have made me a big Super 8 fan!
I hadn't stayed here before, and chose it this time partly due to lack of choices, coupled with the review score that it had received. It is an older property, the size of the bathroom brought back memories of a cruise ship bathroom in terms of size (ok, maybe not that small, but it was pretty little!). I was also less than impressed with the bed. […] It was hard, and I had a very difficult time getting comfortable. Overnight stay, checked in really late. Staff was courteous. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Good breakfast included the next morning. Very good value for the rate. Would stay there again if passing through.

Dodge City as a whole was a big disappointment. We left 2 days early and never plan to go back. The hotel was ok, AC unit was loud and some of our towels had stains on them. The big disappointment about the hotel was the pool was empty! 95 degree weather and no pool to swim in. My husband and son were not happy.

You get no more than you pay for here, and maybe less. A very lumpy bed, horrible air conditioning and a sense that the room hasn't encountered fresh air in decades. Dim and dank. Would not go back.

I was impressed with this Super 8. I arrived early and the clerk did find a room that was ready. The clerk was also helpful with local entertainment suggestions and offered a slab at the front of the property for secure parking of the motorcycles. The room was clean and comfortable but the walls were a little thin. The other customers were quiet at […] a reasonable time so this was not a big issue. The location was handy but the area behind the hotel looked a little seedy. The breakfast in the morning was not a full buffet but they did have a nice little breakfast. A good value for the money. "Strange building"
This is one of the strangest hotels I've ever seen. The only thing on the ground floor is the office. The first floor of rooms is down a flight of stairs and half the room is below ground. There are NO elevators so if you have trouble with stairs (especially carrying luggage) then don't stay here. The A/C unit in our room was very loud.

We were on a family trip and my husband has breathing problems.The room available was on the third floor,non smoking.He has a hard time walking up stairs.I took a room on first floor even though it was a smoking room.It was deodorized and i thought it would be ok.I wanted a room close the rest of the family.Well,at 2 o'clock in the morning my husband […] tells me we need to change rooms or hotels.I said i would check with front office.The lady in the front said it would not be a problem.I could still get the room that had an outside door if i wanted.She had mentioned this earlier,but i wanted the family closer together.Anyway we switched rooms at 2:30 in the morning.She was wonderful through all of this.I would stay at this hotel again . Outside of the front desk staff, our stay was as expected for a low cost hotel. The front desk staff were hot or cold, either very bubbly or standoffish. The room was very clean, even right ont he road, the room was fairly quiet. Overall it was great deal.

Room and hotel facilities were spotless, had more updated decor than I see in other Super 8 motels. King-size bed was very comfortable; would have expected to find the same in a three or four star hotel. Staff was very professional AND friendly - recommended us to an excellent late-night bar and grill just 2 blocks away. We would definitely stay here […] again. Läs mer
