Jag åkte till Rom tillsammans med min pojkvän i fyra dagar och valde Casa di Iginia e Paolo som boende, både för det överkomliga priset och relativt bra läget. Har man inga problem med att promenera så låg hotellet bra till. Vi gjorde alla utflykter till de stora sevärdheterna till fots och trots junihettan fungerade det bra. Frukosten som ingick i priset var dock inget att hurra över, den funkade men var mest en sockerbomb. Det var iallafall skönt att inte behöva tänka på frukost när det var en massa annat att planera och tänka på. Städningen på rummet var okej. Under vår fyra nätter långa vistelse fick vi rena lakan och handdukar först sista natten, vet inte om de alltid gör så eller om det var en engångsföreteelse, jag hade gärna velat ha rena handdukar snabbare. I övrigt fungerade allt bra, fräscha rum och möbler, bra läge, mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Trotts mina påpekanden tidigare i recensionen så skulle jag absolut rekommendera detta hotell! Perfekt om man inte tänkt använda rummet mer än till att vila och sova på.

A large and very lively hotel on the sea front with the trams running close by. Room very comfortable and clean. TV a bit dated so no teletext but not a major problem. "Not a great nights sleep"
The room was tired and dated, the television bathroom fittings must not have been changed in the past 20 years. My wife and three year old child was kept awake by the downstairs disco till 2am. If your thinking about staying at the savoy I would reconsider.Verifierad gästrecension
"Rather tired & in need of updating"
We stayed 1 night to visit family. Was rather disappointed with standard of room - very tired, damp smell, carpet not vacuumed, window cracked & handles broken, table not wiped down, mirror smeared, cigarette burn in blanket...... "Good value for money"
Hotel is a little tired but rooms were clean and adequate. Breakfast was OK but cold plates first morning mean't breakfast was cold. OK next day but breakfast room could have done with being warmer. Overall good value £50 for two for two nights B&B can't complain.Verifierad gästrecension
"Disappointed with our "superior" upgrade room 310"
unfortuately we upgraded to a superior room for our usual standard double. we wanted to complain about the room for various reasons but felt it was too much hassel and didnt want to cause a fuss. the room wasnt a double room, merely a twin with the beds pushed together! the room was smaller than our usual size, with the television being very small. […] we were issued a superior room (with a sea view) yet felt disappointed with the "upgrade" we had chosen as a treat. we have used the savoy many times before however will seriously consider other competitors all priced at similar rates. overall we left the hotel feeling disappointed rather than had a great night away. "Very disappointing"
The hotel looks grand from the outside, offers parking and has friendly staff on the reception. The room, however, was very disappointing. On arrival the double room that was booked for 2 guests was set up for only one. The room was unclean; the carpet was stained, the tea / coffee facilities were covered in dust, the walls felt damp and the wallpaper […] was coming away from the walls. I complained and was immediately offered another room. This room was slightly better; the carpet was not stained, however the surfaces (including the tea making facilities) were dusty. "Have never been so cold"
Luckily only staying one night for a family party. The room would have been ok if it hadn't been like being in an ice box. Admitably it was blowing a gale and sub zero outside but windows without gaps in the putty or even better double glazing would have kept it outside. "Back In Time"
The price of this hotel was the main reason for staying here. I didn't expect much and it was exactly was I expected. Once one of Blackpool finest, now a sad and tired hotel. "Far enough from hussle"
A former glory,very pleasant staff very accommodating .Breakfast was good good choice of items on offer.Bar food too .Old world feel to the place ,nice and warm ,bed was comfy enough ,not a spot for youngsters .Tram and bus stops just outside the front door into Blackpool centre. "All Shabby And No Chic"
I'm all for a bit of faded grandeur, but this takes it too far. Peeling, peach-painted wallpaper, water damage on the ceiling, filthy upholstery and carpets, thin towels and threadbare sheets, and the general smell of of decay. "Not worth the money"
Poor quality hotel in desperate need of refurbishment, our room had a rotting window frame and cracked tiles in the bathroom. Breakfast was inedible.Car parking is for approximately 30 cars, but there is a pay and display next to the hotel, it cost £10 for 24 hours and you cannot pay with notes or by card, there is a lift that carries a maximum of three […] people, so if you have mobility issues, you will have to wait for the lift. "Mixed Experience"
The hotel is a large, rather grand-looking Victorian pile which is centrally located on the Queens Promenade right on the sea-front. Tram stop just across from the hotel and just 3 or 4 stops to the centre.The main function rooms including the ballroom are rather grand but have seen better days. They are now a little jaded and grubby and need a good […] clean. Most of the common areas including the dining room are carpeted but this too is jaded and dirty in places. My room on the fourth floor (lift which takes 3 people only) goes only as far as third floor. My single room could have been cleaner - tea bag left in teapot and stubble left in the bathroom sink from previous guest! The water pressure in the shower was very weak and the curtain was hanging from the rail in the bedroom. The room had all the facilities you could need but a little more attention to cleaning and maintenance would have been welcome. "Looks impressive but oh dear ..."
Stayed here a number of years ago, wasn't to bad then but first impressions this time were poor unfortunately. Torn bedroom curtains, cigarette burns on the bedding - looked like a 50's guest house behind the scenes. Yes it was cheap but until this hotel does a major clean and refurb it will be unale to command anything higher. Hotel quite good value, but in need of spring clean and decorating. Lift too small for size of hotel and somebody set off fire alarm, disabled rooms were on 3 floor, how do they get down stairs if severly disabled as one guest was and was very worried. Im guessing this was a lovely hotel once upon a time but unfortunately it is anything but lovely now. The first room we were given woukd not have even merited a 1 star rating being damp, smelly, one small dingy frosted window, dirty carpets, wallpaper peeling off the stained walls - disgusting. I can honestly say I have stayed in nicer hostels in the […] past. The second room we were given was a slight improvement in respect of the damp but was still appalling. I was not pleased at all with my stay at this hotel. We had a really old room, that had two windows that you could not see out of because they had a mesh on them. The window sills were full of brick dust and filthy. We also had a double bed which the mattress was concaved as it was so old. The only thing half decent was the breakfast. booked a twin room .but 1st room only had a double bed. reception staff friendly and said no twin rooms where available. they did offer to switch us to one of there sister hotels. but in the end we had two separate rooms the 1st night and an upgrade twin room with sea view the 2ND night. found all three rooms to be in the same sorry state. light carpets […] which was full of stains . as was the walls and furniture. silver insulation around pipe work which looks awful went down to breakfast to find big round tables .you help your self to food then sit down next to a strangers. found that very off putting. fire alarm went off at 3.00am for a few minutes. there was no information from staff .it was only because we heard a couple get up and go downstairs then come back up that we new it was a false alarm. we checked out that morning and staff said nothing about why the alarm had gone off like most big hotels they have to many rooms to maintain .and hotel is in need of refurbishment and investment Läs merVerifierad gästrecension från Expedia

hotel is very dated as other reviewers have said, room was a bit dissapointing but as i had got it at a reasonable price it was ok the lift is tiny only 3 people at a time and as 3pm is check in time and no earlier it took a while it only goes to 3rd floor and we were on the 4th which was not ideal with a small child and large case ! when i got there […] there was no bed for my son but this was rectified as soon as i rang reception there was no towels for him either and tv did not work but both these were also sorted by the very helpfull and friendly staff.the breakfast is very good with fruit youghurt croissants crusty bread cheese ham cereals and cooked buffet breakfast available the only complaint there was dining room got very busy and our friends were put in another room as there is not enough tables.it is further out than we thought but the bus and tram stops are just outside the door we bought all day tickets from the spar up the road which is cheaper than buying on the bus or tram and could get on either all day long.our friends had paid a lot for thier room and did not think it worth it but as it is only a base it was fine.the staff were pleasant and helpfull there is a happy few hours in day when it is good value for some of the drinks but we missed this most days as we were out and about.the car park was not as big as we had thought either but we both found spaces there is a big paying carpark next door if you didnt manage to get one. I booked two nights in this hotel with my two year old daughter and my father who is in his mid 60's. My room was a small double on the third floor that had windows that didn't open. My fathers room was on the first floor and it didn't have a window!! The hotel is very dated, towels and bedding threadbare. The windows in the comon parts are so dirty […] you could hardly see out of them. We upgraded on the first night to have dinner, booked for 7.45, they finally allowed the large que of people in around 8.10. It was another 25 mins before anyone took our order. I wanted a cheapish hotel for me and my daughter before we went to gig at the Empress Ballroom. I read the reviews and was uncertain whether to book or not.. I booked a single room and took advantage of the children stay and eat free aspect of the room. (I previously phoned the hotel directly who told me to book a twin room which was twice the price!) […] Anyway I got there and asked for an additional bed which was duly put in.IOverall great value athough the hotel could do with a little update. Great breakfast included too! "Great little place!"
After some of the reviews, I was a little worried about what I was getting, especially as I chose the cheapest room! I got there and the room was HUGE, plenty of space, a good view and everything seemed clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath in it which was unexpected! Breakfast was included and was a "help yourself" buffet style of […] both hot and cold food which was delicious! We were 24 and 26 year old males by the way.
