Having stayed in Santa Monica previously we knew this property was in a great accesssible location. The Marriott brand never disappoints! We were greeted warmly, Lobby, halls and rooms were well appointed, bright and immaculate. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We were very satisfied with our stay. four star luxury and you pay for it too! higher priced but back door from the small but pretty pool leads directly to the beach. neighborhood is a city, but you are close to the santa monica pier and pricey shops, also - the 3rd street promenade. beach has bike path and walking path across from hotel which streches for miles. you are close driving distance […] to pacific coast highway with beautiful views and twenty minutes from malibu and zuma beach. hotel is quaint french style. newspapers free and coffee in lobby free, too. if you can't afford a full week, stay for a couple of days like we did, its well worth it. they change the linens every night, although it may not be too good for the environment! I've stayed at this hotel many times. After this stay, we will never go again. It all started when we checked in. I had purposely called the day ahead to confirm our reservation and the need for 2 beds. When we checked in they said they could not accommodate us. After complaining, and reminding them of our previous day call, they finally found a room […] for us. We were also given not a minute of leeway on the checkout time. The entire vibe of the weekend was they had no interest in pleasing the "customer". At one point, we casually asked the front desk why the rooms had giant flatscreen TV's get they were running analog service. They had no answer, in fact, the rep didn't even know what I was talking about. My suggestion would be to check out the neighboring hotels, you'll have a much nicer stay. Läs mer

Really liked the service and the hotel location. Its an older hotel, however, and the bar area and restaurant was not very modern or well attended. The surrounding hotels are better for nightlife and people watching. While I would recommend hotel, I'd probably not stay again myself, depending on rates.

Was expecting much more out of a JW hotel. The hotel looks run down. Room was supposed to have a sea view which it did not (the person at reception told me that it had a "slight" sea view - which it did, if you strained to lean and look)!! Then maybe I am used to hotels and service in Asia which is far superior to the service and accomodation in the […] US. Breakfast was good and service in restaurnat was also attentive. This hotel is within walking distance of the Santa Monica Pier and 3rd Street Promenade. The hotel staff was extremely pleasant and attentive. The price to park the car ($34/day) is a bit expensive but the valet attendants were courteous and in/out is unlimited. Excellent hotel perfect location has great facilities. Would like to return one day.

The assistant manager there was extremely rude. Staying there was a horrible experience for me and my friend.

Personnel at this hotel were extremely rude. The assistant manager does not know how to handle a dispute professionally. This is supposed to be a high-end hotel, but our experience was far from it. After I sent an email to complain about the second bed we had requested not being there in the room, the assistant manager called us at our room to chew […] us out about it. She kept saying things like, "in the hotel world, we usually mean ......", "most of our customers are business clients....." Everyone at the hotel continued on with their plausible excuses. Best beach area in LA. Not a beachfront hotel but excellent location otherwise. One block walk to beach and short driving distance to shops and restaurants. Beach, biking, and walking are great in this area. Wished there were vending machines and self-service ice. The staff is top notch! We had an extra visitor for one night and they gave us a roll away for free. They normally would charge, but they treated us with such great service! The hotel was pretty and comfy!

Quick mid week getaway with family. Provided a secure and pleasant place to stay. Centrally located and allowed us to bike to Venice Beach, visit the local shopping area and was able to get tours of LA.

Le Merigot is a nice hotel not too far from Santa Monica. This is not a beach hotel and only has a peek-a-boo view due to a building standing between it and the beach. Rooms are large and comfortable, but windows do not open in many rooms.

Nous avons séjourné du 11 au 14 juillet 2009 après avoir visité les parcs nationaux. L'hôtel est à 1 rue de la plage. C'est un hôtel luxueux, joliment décoré, avec des tables en terrasse au milieu d'un jardin, quelques tables sont à proximité de lampes chauffantes utiles le soir. La piscine est à l'abri du vent. La chambre était grande, très confortable, […] une petite vue sur l'océan (nous n'avions pas payé de supplément), le journal était déposé sur le pas de porte tous les matins. Différentes formules sont disponibles pour le petit déjeuner : buffet etc. L'accueil est plus que remarquable : le personnel est extrêmement courtois et disponible, nous avions l'impression d'être attendu : une pochette à notre nom contenant les cartes de la chambre nous attendait. Beaucoup d'explications étaient fournies lors de l'accueil et de l'installation dans la chambre. Le valet parking est très efficace. Bref le séjour fût très agréable 3 petits regrets : le restaurant est très bon, sans vue un peu en sous-sol et un peu cher, l'accès internet est payant, il n'y a pas de passage de femme de ménage dans les couloirs le soir ou tôt le matin pour enlever les plateaux repas déposés devant les chambres Läs mer

God beliggenhet, rene rom, men dårlig service. Ventet en time på å få servert frokost, internett fungerte ikke, prisene på leiebil booket gjennom concerge var 2 til 3 ganger over flyplasspriser og med tillegg for km. Svømmebasseng, men dette ligger delvis i skyggen.

Chambre confortable;hotel très bien placé. Hall de l'hotel petit,bas de plafond sans lumiere du jour. restaurant en sous sol sans vue exterieure terrasse coincée entre immeuble pas agreable. Personnel professionnel mais peu accueillant et chaleureux.On demande beaucoup mieux d'un hotel de cette categorie.
