Hotell i svårslaget läge! Rent på rummet och snygg amerikansk stil på rumsinredningen. Fungerar mycker bra med WC och dusch i korridorer, det är aldrig kö och de städas i princip hela tiden. Mycket prisvärt hotell. Det enda minuset är möjligen att sängarna är något hårda.

Frukosten på den mysiga restaurangen i direkt anslutning till hotellet var härlig och restaurangen kändes levande då folk droppade in från Broadway utanför. Det var skönt att komma till dessa lite lugnare kvarter efter en intensiv dag downtown. Hotellrummet var bra planerat. Fin utsikt från takterrassen. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam. Ingen bra internetanslutning, fungerade ej på rummet. Förvisso krediterade man detta Allmänt nergånget och luktade smutsigt Rummen städades alltför sent på em kl 15 rep 17 Fick till svar att man inte kunde börja före 12.00 eftersom det var utcheckning då. Min respons till detta är att om man vet att en kund bor 6 nätter på ett hotell kan man städa före […] kl 12.00. Jag vill i vart fall på em kunna komma hem till ett välstädat hotellrum. Vi fick byta rum eftersom det låg matrestor i kylskåpet i rummet vi först fick Mycket byggljud utanför hotellet ( kan man förvisso inte hjälpa) Icke reflekterande personal i receptionen Min dotter som bodde med mig fick ta en taxi till NEWARK Airport för 100 USD beroende på att man ej hittade oss i sina system och vi missade en Shuttlebuss då vi stod i hissen på väg ner till receptionen. Man hade inte hittat oss i sina system eftersom mitt namn stod först. Man var väl medveten om att vi bodde ihop. Borde ansträngt sig lite mer. "Good service, relaxed area"
First visit in NYC and had a nice stay at on the Ave. Nice & modern room & badroom, good equipped with iron, hairdryer, LCD TV and fridge. Though not top notch when it comes to details. Carpet looks shabby and some renovation was made by careless craftsmen. For us NYC newbies we´d have chosen a more central hotel closer to main turist attractions. "Hotel On The Ave"
Ett trevligt hotell med bra läge. Tråkigt nog fick vi först ett rum med fönster mot en mur. Vi fick byta till ett litet rum men med fönster. Mycket trafik dygnet runt med brandstation på andra sidan gatan, men det störde inte oss. Är det storstad så är det. Rekommenderas varmt, inget att klaga på alls. Bästa vistelsen i New York tack vare hotellet! Sköna sängar, gick att mörklägga helt och hållet. Minibar (förvisso dyr men än dock där) Hårfön och strykjärn/bräde på rummet Ismaskin i korridoren Inget störande ljud utifrån eller från fläktar Bra AC lätt att reglera Suverän städning!! "Comfortable but disappointing"
I was disappointed with the hotel. First of all when calling before arrival they did not indicate that they were doing renovations, and there was construction going on right across the street. It was also supposed to be a smoke free establishment and upon arriving on the floor that we were occupying the smoke hit you as soon as you got off the elevator […] and entered our room. The bathroom wasn't cleaned very well and there had been a leak in the room which left a stain on the ceiling, wall, and carpet. I am also spoiled by stays at other hotels and did not realize that they did not have room service. However there is a little burger spot right across the street that is open 24/7 and the food is delicious. The upside to the stay is that the representatives were very friendly and helpful. "Nice but noisy"
The room was lovely except for the door to the adjoining room. There was no sound barrier between the two rooms. Also staff were very talkative in the hallways which carried into the rooms. Restaurant was great. Attention to a room issue was prompt and efficient.Verifierad gästrecension

"Small but Very Nice & a Great Value"
While I am not a fan of the way in which the hotel re-decorated the rooms - and the lack of a chair, I like this place very much and have stayed there multiple times. "Not Quite Perfect"
During my stay, April 2013, the lobby was under renovation. My room had been renovated already with a simple, modern design. The room was very nice and clean, if a bit small. The queen-size bed was wonderfully comfortable!! There were great little reading lights attached to the headboard.The blankets were warm. There were lots of electrical sockets […] on the night tables and throughout the room for all electrical devices. There was a safe in the room. The bathroom was great, if a little cramped. The bathroom had marble walls and the steel sink and counter. The shower stall was of a very generous size, and it had a European-style shower-handle/showerhead. The air-conditioning work well. There was a large flat-panel TV on the wall, but I never used it. There was a iPod speaker-dock-clock on the night table, but it only had an FM band, no AM band for news and weather. There were coffee and a coffee maker in the room, but I never used it. The one major drawback to my stay was that I had to pay for wi-fi, $14.10, including tax. :-( I would recommend this hotel, and, if I ever needed to be in the area again, B'way and 77th, I would stay there again. "Nice rooms - shame about comfort overall"
You do not have control over the temperature of your room. The temperature of my room steadily increased over the days I was there as I was told the A/C had not been turned on for the building. They recommended leaving the window open instead - I can't do that due to allergies, and this is peak allergy season. My room simply got increasingly uncomfortable […] and stuffy while I was there. Strange thing is that the lobby area was nicely air conditioned. It's a shame since the rooms themselves are nicely furnished and clean while small. Would not recommend, would not go again. "Newly remodeled"
Very nice hotel. Great beds! Beautiful bathroom and walk in shower. Keurig coffee maker was wonderful to have in the room! Lobby was under construction so one of the elevators not working and lobby not usable. Can't wait to see the finished result. Nice Italian restaurant with late hours attached with great food. We used several times, but Hostess was […] quite rude one night so we did not return. The only downside of the room was that the furnishings were so modern, that there was no comfy chair or drawers to put your clothes in so had to live out of a suitcase for a week. If you are only staying for a weekend, this would not be a problem, but for a whole week, it was a bit inconvenient. Location was nice and safe! Two short blocks to the red line subway. I have stayed at On The Avenue Hotel many times, but on recent visits I found the hotel was not being maintained. During this visit the lobby was under construction and only two of four elevators were operating. Our smallest standard room is approximately 240 square feet and is comparable to most offered in New York City. We are located on the Upper West Side which offers many parking options and we also offer Valet Parking. We currently offer free Wi-Fi on our public balconies and internet is available in all guest rooms for a fee.

I've stayed at On The Ave three times over the past few years. The staff is always friendly & they have clean beautiful rooms in an ideal location. The conditions in the hotel were very poor as they were remodeling. Three out of four elevators were turned off so they wait was very long. My room was on the 12th floor and I found that using the stairs was easier than waiting for the elevator! I was given an upgraded room - nice! The room was clean, large and comfortable. The only issue was that some of the elevators were not working due to construction, and I was on the 12th floor - walked the stairs after waiting 10 minutes for the elevator. UGH!
