Hotell On The Ave New York - New York

Generellt är rätt bra hotell..Låt lite för långt bort från det jag vill se... Men annars så vara det bra.

Ingen bra internetanslutning, fungerade ej på rummet. Förvisso krediterade man detta Allmänt nergånget och luktade smutsigt Rummen städades alltför sent på em kl 15 rep 17 Fick till svar att man inte kunde börja före 12.00 eftersom det var utcheckning då. Min respons till detta är att om man vet att en kund bor 6 nätter på ett hotell kan man städa före […] kl 12.00. Jag vill i vart fall på em kunna komma hem till ett välstädat hotellrum. Vi fick byta rum eftersom det låg matrestor i kylskåpet i rummet vi först fick Mycket byggljud utanför hotellet ( kan man förvisso inte hjälpa) Icke reflekterande personal i receptionen Min dotter som bodde med mig fick ta en taxi till NEWARK Airport för 100 USD beroende på att man ej hittade oss i sina system och vi missade en Shuttlebuss då vi stod i hissen på väg ner till receptionen. Man hade inte hittat oss i sina system eftersom mitt namn stod först. Man var väl medveten om att vi bodde ihop. Borde ansträngt sig lite mer. Allmänt ingen fräscht hotell Läs mer

First visit in NYC and had a nice stay at on the Ave. Nice & modern room & badroom, good equipped with iron, hairdryer, LCD TV and fridge. Though not top notch when it comes to details. Carpet looks shabby and some renovation was made by careless craftsmen. For us NYC newbies we´d have chosen a more central hotel closer to main turist attractions. Ett trevligt hotell med bra läge. Tråkigt nog fick vi först ett rum med fönster mot en mur. Vi fick byta till ett litet rum men med fönster. Mycket trafik dygnet runt med brandstation på andra sidan gatan, men det störde inte oss. Är det storstad så är det. Trevlig bemötande, rent och snyggt Lätt att ta sig överallt på Manhattan.

Rekommenderas varmt, inget att klaga på alls. Bästa vistelsen i New York tack vare hotellet! Sköna sängar, gick att mörklägga helt och hållet. Minibar (förvisso dyr men än dock där) Hårfön och strykjärn/bräde på rummet Ismaskin i korridoren Inget störande ljud utifrån eller från fläktar Bra AC lätt att reglera Suverän städning!! Vi fick hotellet 30% billigare än ordinarie pris och är med tanke på priset mycket nöjda! Negativt var att det fanns kvarglömda handdukar och papper kvar i rummet från föregående gäst vilket leder tll att man funderar på städningen samt att internet inte ingår i priset. Positivt var standard, balkongen på 14 våningen (missa inte) samt Manhattan Diner […] som låg tvärs över gatan (mycket bra frukost och brunch). Läs mer

We stayed for three nights at OTA. We spent three weeks at different hotels during our vacation in the US and OTA beats all the others. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Checking in six hours ahead of the ordinary check in time was no problem at all. The terrace on the 16th floor is superb. Walking down Broadway to Times […] Square takes a while, but if you are in good condition it is a nice walk. Central Park is only a few blocks away. Breakfast can be had at the diner just across the street. Only minus is that Internet access is not included in the price. If you are flying in our out off JFK, you can take the subway all the way to or from the hotel. Taxi is recommended to or from Newark. Would definitely stay again! Läs mer

Bra service och fräscht hotell trevligt beläget i kvarter med matbutiker och trevliga restauranger där New York-borna själva bor och shoppar. Genuint och icke-turistigt. Bara 2 kvarter från Central Park.

I had a very good stay here. The hotel is very posh and classy and I got the room for a great price!

The most important thing to me is cleanliness & whether the bed is comfortable. The room was small but perfectly clean. The king bed was extremely firm & comfortable. Both my husband and I slept extremely well which is not always the case in hotels;

Very pleasant stay at On the Ave hotel. Two blocks from the closest subway station. Good variety of restaurants in Amsterdam Avenue.

There was a great deal of construction outside of the hotel that I was not warned about before booking my stay. When I arrived, I asked for a room with a tub only to be placed in a street side room where there was drilling directly across. When I asked to be relocated, they promptly did so but they only had one room left. I would have been very upset […] if they were not able to move me. On another note, the bed was very uncomfortable. Perfect in every way! We were pleased with the decor and the room. Staff was very helpful. Only a couple blocks to central park and subway. Surprisingly quiet too! We will definitely stay here again next time we go to NYC!

a real sleeper

Great location on the Upper West Side. Convenient to subway, both parks (Central and Riverside) and lots of options for restaurants or grocery stores (great that there are mini-fridges in the rooms). The lobby, terrace and (my) room looked great and were clean. Some of the mid-level floor hallways could use a paint job, but otherwise, am very pleased […] with this hotel and will stay again. First room claustrophobically small, they were very nice to then move us. Next room had no hot water initially, then no water out of the shower head at all. My son had to go to sleep so we made the best of it.

Hotel had very good service, room is small but thats not unusual for NYC. Only complaint I have is the room wasnt to clean. Found garbage in the bathroom from the prior guest.

Smaller room (2 double beds) but great service and a wonderful hotel.

the rooms were smaller than expected, drafty. The locatioin was concentient but not recommended for family

If excellence in service and convenient location are important, then OTA is for you. The desk staff and doormen were excellent and the location is walking distance to just about everything the Upper West Side has to offer.

All I wanted was a wake up call,I went to the desk in person the night before they said no problem.Did not get a call instead was an hour late for my appt. the next day.He told me that I said I had a personal alarm,whatever that means......

Very clean, modern hotel with an above-average friendly staff. Nice gym. Quiet. Coffee & tea bar in lobby during morning hours. Close to Central Park & Natural History Museum, and a short subway ride from everything else. I booked this for my parents and it was just what I wanted for them. Stylish, modern, and in a great neighborhood.

The hotel is only 2 blocks from subway in a very nice area with wonderful diners and markets within walking distance. There is a beautiful terrace with outdoor sofas and chairs overlooking the city on the 16th floor. We bought desserts from the market and had dessert on the terrace every night. The rooms are good size for NYC, Beautiful bathrooms.

My husband and I had no choice but to to check out of this hotel after the first night of our honeymoon. We were given a lovely room on the second floor and were very happy with the comfort and decor of the hotel. Unfortunately we were woken up in the wee hours of the morning by construction workers working and walking around on the scaffolding directly […] outside our window. It was the worst hotel experience of my life. I would have appreciated some prior notification from the hotel staff about the construction. I enjoyed this place. It is in a nice part of town. The best restaurant nearby is Nice Matin...so good...French. During a meeitng in my small room, mu business partner needed something to eat and drink, so the Pringles ($9.00) and the liter of water ($10.00) seem a bit rich, and there is no beer. This is the first time that I stayed at a hotel in New York City. It’s located at a very convenience location, walk distance to the American Museum of Nature History, the Central Park and subway stations. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, though it was a room, and furniture and wall paper were old. The bathroom was in a reasonable size, […] but the towels were old and lost of their original white color. This is a four star hotel, I expected they would have some kind of information for the tourists , shopping and restaurants in the NCY available in the guest rooms, just like the hotels in other big cities in the US. I was disappointed to find out that there wasn’t any in the room where I stayed. There was construction works going on cross the street started from 7 am in the morning and you would definitely hear the noise if your room window faces that side. Läs mer

Overall a nice hotel. Standard room is a bit small but good for an overnight stay.

The GOOD: Nice looking lobby, rooms are very tight (kinda expect that in NYC) but clean. The BAD: Just started construction of new building across the street (7am-7pm... jack hammering, concrete trucks, etc.) so if your a late sleeper, try to get rooms facing uptown.... we were on 8th floor facing downtown and it was LOUD!

Modern, clean & close to everything I needed. Perfect little getaway & I can't wait to plan my next visit.

I have stayed here with family and co-workers. Everyone is happy, and so am I! Atmosphere, convenience, staff, and consistently so! Great!

The rooms were small, but otherwise the hotel was nice. They put us on the street side and at 8 am every morning (6 am our time) there was loud construction noise. My only other complaint is that most of the time I went on a coffee run it was empty. It was nice to have coffee service, but it seemed like no one wanted to take resonsibility. I was disappointed with the price of the hotel and how it was reflected in the overall cleanliness of the room. There were hairs in the bathroom and the carpet was dirty and stained throughout the room. Many of the corners appeared as if they were not vacuumed. It was very upsetting. For the price I expected to stay in a room that was at the very least […] tidy and well-kept. Otherwise the neighborhood and location were perfect. It is a short walk to Central Park and there are many good restaurants to try around the hotel. The subway is also either two blocks or five blocks away depending on which line you want to take.
