Ashburn är en pärla. Ett centralt beläget hotell nära tunnelbanan. Rummen är charmigt och funktionellt inredda. det finns plats för två, att lätt öppna väskor och samtidigt röra sig i rummet!! det är inte vanligt i London ;) Hotellets personal är hjälpsam och kunnig. I baren serveras det bubbel på kvällen som en liten "treat" och det ligger alltid något […] litet X:tra på sängen vid läggdags, sist fick vi ett läppbalsam! gulligt om uppskattat. Det enda som jag kan säga är negativt det är att det är KALLT i frukostmatsalen men vet man om det kan man bara ta på sig en varmare tröja så löser det sig!! "Kanonbra hotell"
Vi hade en toppenhelg på The Ashburn! Mysiga rum och bekväma sängar. God frukost och mycket trevligt med champagne i lobbyn på kvällen. Ligger i South Kensington bara minuter från Gloucester Rd station. Lugnt bostadsområde med promenadavstånd till bra restauranger, shopping på High Str Kensington och flera museum. "Lugnt läge men nära till tunnelbana"
Hotellet ligger i ett lugnt läge med ca 3 minuter gångväg till Gloucester Rd´s tunnelbana. Därifrån går 3 olika linjer som gör att man smidigt kan ta sig till flera "turistområden". Piccadilly, Covent Garden och Soho via Piccadilly-linjen och Victoria, Westminster och Embankment via Circle- och District-line. Vi råkade få en rum med tråkig utsikt mot […] kortsidan av huset intill. Cromwell Road som ligger runt hörnet är en stor infartsled in till London men vi uppfattade inget stöörande oljud. Det kan berott på vårt rums läge. I övrigt rent och snyggt och vi fick lite champagne på ankomstkvällen. Hade dock räknat med minibar på rummet, men detta kanske inte är normalt på 4-stjärniga hotell i London. Tillgång till kylskåp fanns som tur var. Fördelar: Lugnt läge med närhet till tunnelbana med bra kommunikationer. Rent och fint hotell. Nackdelar: Ska man ut och stanna sent blir det en del kostnader för taxi. Ca 20£ från Soho. Kan verkligen rekommendera detta lilla och mysiga hotell.Ligger ett kvarter från Gloucester Road tunnelbana.Ni kan ta tunnelbanan direkt från flyget(Piccadilly line)tar ca.30 min och kliva av på Gloucester Road. Hotellet ligger i ett bra och lugnt område (kensington)med många restauranger i närheten.Rummet var stort och mysigt med sköna sängar och kuddar. […] Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam.Frukost ingick men vill man ha bacon,ägg kostar det 1.50 pund ca. Man blev mer än mätt på det som fanns. "Not bad but king bed was two singles!"
The hotel is in a good location close to Kensington High Street and only a 10-15 walk up to the Royal Albert Hall (where we were going). The rooms are nicely decorated but the bed was rock hard and even though we paid extra for a King room, the bed was just two singles, with single mattresses, and a king size blanket and duvet. "Loved it here"
My daughter and I stayed here for four days and were very satisfied with our stay. It is just around the corner from the Gloucester Rd tube station and the Hop on, Hop off bus tour. We found the staff pleasant and helpful. We had a small problem with the heat in our room, which was promptly and creatively handled. Breakfast was included with our room, […] and was more than adequate: fruit, juices, cheese, meats, pastries, toast and coffee served in French press coffee makers. There are many pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance (including Burger King and KFC if you need a fast food fix). I would definitely stay at The Ashburn again. We had a great time in London and it was made so much better by the location and the atmosphere at the Ashburn. It was close to an underground station on the line to Heathrow. The Ashburn hotel is trying to be a boutique hotel which it certainly is not!!! It is not worth a four star rating...Sorry but that’s the truth! The website photos look great and then when you get there it’s a bit of a let down. The staff are okay, though on our second evening there we walked into the bar/lounge to find two staff on their own leaning […] against the bar. We asked if we could get our free drink only to be told 'Sorry no, only between 7 and 8pm' and then one of the staff returned to browsing his mobile phone. We were not impressed with that! The heating didn’t work properly in the room, there was a portable air con/heater unit provided. It worked but looked very well used. From the experience that my partner and I received we will not be returning to the Ashburn hotel and would not recommend this hotel! There are far better hotels available for the money! Nice Boutique Hotel In a great location with easy access to underground train. I found the staff to be Great! Very helpful and extremely friendly, always trying to keep the guest happy. Shortfalls were, small room (mine was #105) can't speak for others. Wish there was an exhaust fan in the bathroom for excessive steam generated from half enclosed shower […] which I am not used to. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. You cannot beat its location both for access to Heathrow (tube station is 5 mins away) and the Knightsbridge area/rest of London. There are plenty of bars and restaurants close by but just far enough away that you don't have to deal with the noise. The staff are exceptionally helpful and very knowledgeable. The location of the hotel is excellent (less than 5 minute walk to Gloucester Road tube and within walking distance of V&A museum, Hyde Park and Royal Albert Hall). "A fantastic value in London"
Great rooms. Excellent Service. Free Wi-Fi, Free Breakfast and Queen Beds all at a reasonable price! The hotel is very close to the Piccadilly Line station, bus stops and the hop-on, hop-off tour buses. There are many restaurants around, and even a small supermarket. It is within walking distance to Kensington Gardens and a few other attractions, other […] things are a quick hop on the tube to central London. Getting there from Heathrow airport was an easy 30 minute ride on the tube (no transfers needed). The concierge was very helpful with theater reservations and other tickets. The only thing I would change is the shower door. It was very hard to move and never closed quite completely so there was some splashing. "Third Year in a Row at the Ashburn"
This was the 3rd year in a row I stayed at the Ashburn. This hotel is perfect for me. It's close to the Tube (Gloucester Road station, Picadilly Line goes to/from Heathrow), very comfortable and attractive, and they serve breakfast on site. There are restaurants, supermarkets, and novelty shops all within easy walking distance. Knightsbridge (Harrod's!) We upgraded to the "king" room, which only implies that the room it's self is larger and has a bathtub. I understand that all beds are the same size, only room size differs with the descriptions; "queen" room is smaller and only has a shower. Your service is second to none and we would stay again in a heartbeat! I just didn't get why you had no plugs for hairdryers near a mirror? I get why they aren't in the bathroom, for safety, but I am severely nearsighted and had to look clear across the room and do my hair using the mirrors on the closet doors. It was very frustrating. "Great hotel with a great location"
We loved the Ashburn hotel. The room was surprisingly large (a twin room) and spotlessly clean. The amenities were as described, e.g. robes, slippers, breakfast, small refrigerator in the room, etc. The hotel was very close to the tube - about 1 1/2 blocks and we felt very safe walking around the area. Next to the tube were a grocery store, and a Boots […] pharmacy. We very much appreciated the services of the two concierges who were very helpful and the young lady who served as receptionist. no wifi for 2 nights in a row of out 5 nights staying there. previous comments also complaint about this issue. It seems this happens constantly. the hotel failed to fix it. we wouldn't choose a hotel without wifi service. "Really- this place was superb!"
I had an amazing experience at this hotel. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a King size room. The view was of the city road and was really breathtaking for someone new to the city. I loved the setup of the room and though that the bathroom was great. I had lots of room. I was able to walk to the Underground system in about 5 minutes. There is a […] lovely grocery store nearby on the way to the Underground. The area is great. There are some restaurants, a souvenir shop with a post office, and a charity shop nearby with amazing finds (called Zara). The hotel's concierge was amazing. I was able to catch a show for half price while I was in town. I also though that the breakfast was amazingly good. One night I ordered a light meal off the room service menu. A lovely hotel...small and perfectly located between two tube stops and loads of charming, small restaurants. It is just a 9 block walk to the V & A and natural history museum. The staff were friendly and helpful...and the amenities included in the price were amazing...a full breakfast in the lovely breakfast room, free wi fi and a glass of good champagne […] each evening.
