We traveled to Easton, Md for a St. Patrick's Day concert at the Avalon Theatre this month. What a pleasant event -- the hotel was conveniently located, the room and lobby were clean and inviting. Generous, automated style continental breakfast with many options; nice sized indoor swimming pool and physical fitness machines for those who want exercise. Quick distance to Easton's restaurants and shops. Ask for internet access code when you register.

Wonderful accomodations...clean just like the review proclaimed.....the real challenge for this hotel is to KEEP it nice and updated. The art- and restaruant- center of Easton is a short drive (1-2 miles) away, and the yacht harbor and seafood restaurants of St. Michaels are within 10 miles. However, the hotel is poorly designed: the sink is in the bedroom, not the bathroom (which accordingly is very small). Mattress is very soft. "The Holiday Express was near Easton, our destinati"
We needed a modestly priced stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The morning breakfast was excellent as was the person who kept the area clean. Everyone at the hotel was cordial and helpful. We enjoyed our short stay.

"Nice room"
The room was very nice and also clean. My only complaint was the mattress cover was not comfortable to lie on and the fitted sheet kept coming off of the mattress. Also the hot water dispenser to make tea was extremely s-l-o-w.

Great Place! Very clean ! We were there for the Eagleman Tri, and they were very gracious and accommodating to all the athletes! I would definitly go back next year!!

ROOM WAS CLEAN AND PLEASANT. DID NOT EXPERIENCE ANYTHING UNSATISFACTORY DURING OUR VISIT. DISAPPOINTED THAT THERE WAS NOT HDTV IN THE ROOM. QUALITY OF THE HOT FOODS OFFERED FOR BREAKFAST WAS DISAPPOINTING BUT THERE WAS A GOOD VARIETY OF OTHER FOOD ITEMS TO CHOOSE FROM. SMALL MICROWAVE IN ROOM WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE. ENJOYED THE POOL AND HOT TUB.

Microwave was not made available in my room when I checked in. Had to be requested although it was listed as a standard amenity in the room. The phone was broke. Had to be replaced. Perhaps the newest lodging on US 50 in Easton, MD, the Holiday Inn Express provides what it promises: nothing outstanding, but far better than many. Room was clean and comfortable, with soft, medium, and firm pillows available (look in the drawers for the firm pillows). The vanity is outside the shower/toilet area, a space-saving move that might not […] satisfy all. Not sure why the vanity area does not have towel racks. This seems an oversight at best or a silly, cost-saving move at worst. A/C system was typical: you will hear it, but it will cool the room. TV was also typical: plenty of channels and nothing to watch. :) Location is ideal for travelers. We used it as a base for several days, driving to local attractions and nearby towns. Negotiating US 50 is always a treat, but the hotel is located near a suitable U-turn location (this is how they drive in Maryland). Not a walking neighborhood by any means, but all amenities are within a short car ride, and the Front Desk help seemed very willing to ensure that I had what I needed and knew where I was going. An interactive kiosk in the lobby was also very helpful. Did not use pool and whirlpool, neither of which are large but seemed to get used. I'd seen the breakfast bar a thousand times. Everything was great. We really liked the spa and the pool. Very clean.
The bed was really comfortable. The room was quiet. Breakfast was good. Desk service was good. The hallways smelled, but the room was fine.

We stayed for two nights at the HIE in Easton and were satisfied with our stay. It isn't the fanciest of places, but the front desk staff was courteous, the room was clean and nicely decorated, and the breakfast was nicely displayed and offered lots of yummy choices. I would def stay again on our next trip thru Easton.

This is an excellent motel. You can pay a little less at other motels, but this hotel is worth the little bit extra. The staff are very helpful. Nice breakfast. Great pool. Quiet. Clean room. An overall pleasant experience. Also, good location--near Easton Center. I highly recommend this hotel.

"Defiantly stay here if stopping in Easton"
We had a great stay and the hotel staff was great. The rooms were top notch and clean with large bathrooms. The lobby has a little sitting area which is nice or you can hang out at the table area. The breakfast provided was larger than most I have stayed at with a nice selection. Exercise room was also nice with plenty of variety of machines.

"Let There Be Light"
All in all, I was satisfied with the hotel but there were a few things that could use improvement. The biggest is the lack of any light at the closet just as you enter the room. I felt like I needed a miner's helmet on my head to pick out my clothes. Even with every other light in the room turned on, the closet was still a dark hole.

The room was large, neat and clean. The king sized bed had wonderfully soft sheets. The hot breakfast available in the morning was a very nice touch. The only minor annoyance was when you flipped the light switch walking into the room, no light came on.

"Exceeded Expectations"
I was very pleased with this hotel. It is newer than some of the nearby hotels, so its naturally going to be a bit nicer. But we were very happily surprised with the accomodations. The room was very large and very comfortable. Even though we were across the hall from the elevator, we never heard a sound! We were on a weekend trip to visit St. Michaels […] (which was about 10 miles from the hotel) but didn't want to spend $200 or more/night for a B&B. The free breakfast wasn't as nice as some we've seen, but it was adequate (cereal, fruit, pastries)....and there were two restaurants close enough to walk to if you want a hot breakfast. Coffee was available all day in the lobby/breakfast area....a very nice touch! Läs mer

A very friendly and helpful staff member checked us in for an initial stay of one night. After seeing the room, using the workout facility and the hot tub/pool, we decided to stay an extra night before even going to bed! The next morning, General Manager Mr. Joy, at our request mapped out the places to go and see in the area.
