This hotel looked like a great solution for us to hang out in Beale street this past weekend. It was in a somewhat good location compared to comparible hotels. Inside was in a good condition until we got into the actual room. We had the best time. The bar and dining room staff were excellent. Next time we come we will stay closer to Downtown. We would have no hesitation in recommending your hotel to others. The shuttle service provided was exceptional.

When booking this hotel, we were lucky to find a room in downtown Memphis as it was the Beale Streeet International Music Festival weekend, and the Grizzlies were playing. The location was at the north end of downtown, but the nearby trolley and the hotel shuttle made it extremely convenient to get around for dining and to and from the festival. Ithink the hotel staff was trying to be helpful, but they weren't really that helpful. It is right downtown- that was nice. Parking there was slightly higher than on the street. The halls all smelled like beer.

Hotel staff was very accommodating providing information requested, shuttle to entertainment area, and drink/dining on premises. Property has been refurbished and feasibly maintained but is not a new building.

The stay was wonderful. When I got to my room there was no remote for the tv. i called the front desk and they brought me one right away. they even used it to make sure it was working. then the front desk called me to make sure i had gotten the remote and everything was fine. This is basic lodging- nothing fancy and nothing special. Beds are hard. Thermostat was unresponsive. Drinking glasses in my room were unwashed (had lipstick on them). Hotel not in a nice neighborhood. You can catch the trolley for $1 or walk if the weather is nice, but you WILL be panhandled. Otherwise, hotel service was courteous. Crowne Plaza Memphis has really stepped it up of late. Service is top notch, and the room had little extras that make a difference. Shampoo and soaps are of better quality than previously. They even had a collection of aromatherapy and soothing massage lotions to greet you. Worth the extra walk.

This place is nice, and clean. They will charge you 15 dollars a day to park there. Their shuttle will take you anywhere downtown, but you will have to wait 15-20 min each time you want to go somewhere. I thought the price was not bad for the hotel but after seeing i could have stayed at the peabody for almost the same money, i would have stayed there […] instead. The lobby area seemed nice. But the doors were busted and not working properly. Bad first impression. The room was OK - though the ceiling above by shower started leaking water....luckily it was into the tub. The shower curtain was much too short....not enough to keep the water inside the tub. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful visit. The only issue we had was with the internet service. It was veeeeeeeeeery slow when it connected at all. I went downstairs to use the hotels computers, but those were not working either. For the price, I would expect the internet service to work. I have stayed at many cheaper hotels […] that had much better internet service. This was by far the worst access I have had. Other than that the hotel was great. We were there 2 nights and our stay was very nice. The only complaints I have are: Getting to the right street to get to the hotel was somewhat awkward. Directions were not well defined but once I figured out where to go it was no big deal. The other issue was the parking. You could park yourself or have valet parking for 3 dollars more. I was not told about the parking fee at check in, so Belinda took it off my bill so I was not charged. Considering where this hotel is they should reconsider charging for parking. Overall, very clean and nice, a few little things that most people would never notice needed attention. Staff was pleasant at all times. One thing that continues to bug me about sites and hotels alike if the parking fees are rarely mentioned. $15 a day self, $18 valet.

The hotel was overall "ok". Nothing spectacular..... I've stayed in Crown Plaza's before in Manhattan and other cities and they were far nicer than this one. It was a basic hotel nothing fancy. The surrounding area is kind of blehhhhh, Beale St. is way over rated and the highlight of the trip was Graceland and that was mediocre at best.

My original reservation was for a double. When I checked in they said they only had a king size bed. I had 2 teenagers with me! The toilet did not flush and they did not fix it. The water in the tub started out discolored. The towels actually smelled like urine! I want my money back!

Loved the hotel and found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Michael the car valet was one of the most friendly persons I met during my entire 6 week holiday in the USA. Darryl at the front desk was more than helpful and friendly as well. Strange one . Hotel itself is good. Staff vary enormously . At the risk of sounding sexist our experience was that all of the male staff ( Daryl on reception, bar man and shuttle drivers ) v friendly but female staff all verging on rude. Free shuttle service to downtown is invaluable (I say free but you are " expected" to give a tip of approx 5 dollars […] but didn't mind this) plus they will pick you up until 10 pm . Parking is expensive especially as car park was virtually empty Stayed in a room next to motorway and building work but didn't bother me or my girlfriend . This hotel is starting to show it's age. The overall appearance is looking kind of old. The vehicle entry gate wasn't working properly. The toilet in my room kept running. I had to jiggle the handle to make it stop. The fan in the bathroom didn't work. There was also a strong methane gas smell in the room upon arrival. We wouldn't go back. Day one the toilet had not been cleaned. It was sprayed with urine and dirty inside. The cleaning staff would knock on the door at 9 am everyday, trying to clean the room (?) Everything was excellent during our stay here. Especially wonderful was the transportation that the hotel provided for the guests. The drivers were informative and eager to please. They picked us up and drove us to most major attractions in an extremely timely manner. We were extremely impressed with this service.

This hotel was great. About 30 minutes after we checked in they called our room to be sure everything was to our liking and offered to bring us anything else we needed. They have a free shuttle that goes anywhere in a 5 mile radius of the hotel - which includes Beale Street and many of the main attractions in Memphis. The shuttle (not a cheesy bus but […] a sleek SUV) driver was great to talk to and knowledgeable about the town and it's major landmarks which he pointed out as we drove. 1-Upon arrival, we were directed to park in back with our luggage instead of being able to unload at the front.Getting luggage into hotel as a result was a hassle without help & a small curb we had to get loaded cart over. 2-Difficulty connecting with shuttle service both outgoing and incoming.Called for shuttle 3x when at Beale street. Kept getting […] a call back later message. Finally got someone in the hotel who said to call back in a half hour. We decided it was quicker to walk from Beale back to the hotel. Spent one night at the Crowne Plaza in Memphis. Staff was excellent, got me a car to the airport. On time and friendly. There was a buzz in my room that didn't go away throughout the night.
