Mycket trevligt och prisvärt hotell. Rummet var i utmärkt skick och läget precis lagom centralt för oss (en tiominuterspromenad norr om Oxford Street). Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam.

Vi bodde tre nätter på hotellet och fick byta rum varje morgon. Första natten lade de oss i ett enkelrum med en tältsäng, trots att vi bokat ett Twin-bed rum. Natten därpå ett helt ok rum men med en trasig toalett som inte gick att spola i. Bra läge men inte särskilt bra standard!

Toppen bra hotell med sköna sängar och tyst läge. Bra restauranger i närheten och inte långt till närmsta t-bana.

Mycket bra läge med gångavstånd till Oxford street och övriga city. Bra standard, rent och snyggt för en långhelg eller citybreak. Enda minuset - lite störande buller från korridoren.

Vi bodde i slutet på november 2010 på Grange Fitzrovia, London. Hotellet har en mycket bra placering, bara några minuters promenad ifrån Oxford Street så det är gångavstånd till det mesta (Covent Garden, British Musem m.m.). Personalen på hotellet var inte brittiska, vilket gjorde att vi hade betydligt bättre engelska än de som arbetade där. Detta […] ledde till lite missuppfattningar, svårt att kommunicera. Tjejerna i receptionen var inte speciellt trevliga, medans väsk-killarna var supertrevliga och hjälpsamma. Så totalt betyg för personalen blir ändå OK. Vi hade bokat två hotellrum. Det ena var betydligt större än det andra (samma pris) men för att vara London så var ändå rummen helt OK. Det fanns, som sig bör, en vattenkokare, tepåsar och mjölk på rummet. Även mini-bar som gick att lägga egna kylvaror i. Sängen var inte den största, men för två nätter gick det an (skulle gissa 140cm bred). Bara ett täcke ihop (dubbeltäcke). Gott om kuddar som var sköna. Sängen var lite mjuk med svenska mått, men inget fel. Badrummet var över förväntan, fräscht och förhållandevis stort. Stort badkar, stor spegel och bra med ljus. Inget fel med detta alls. Stora gosiga handdukar, över förväntan. Liten garderob men vi var ju bara där i två dagar så vi fick plats ändå. Ganska gott om galgar ändå. I garderoben fanns en safey-box, bra. Denna låstes/öppnades INTE med kod som är vanligt, utan istället gällde ett kreditkort som passering. Jag undrade hela tiden hur vi skulle få ut våra pass och biljetter ifall plånboken med kreditkortet blev stulen... Vi åt inte frukost på hotellet, det finns gott om coffee-shops och Starbucks inom några minuters gångavstånd. Nyttjade ingen mat eller dryck alls på hotellet. Något mycket positivt var att hotellet hade stor girlang med blå blinkande julbelysning utanför på trappan - vilket gjorde att man lätt hittade hem, ljuset syntes från änden på gatan... Good Quality hotel, excellent and attentive staff,

The hotel was great considering the price. Nice and helpful staff at the reception it's neat and tidy with traditional English home decor. Toilet is big with a bath tub and a shower, with a comfy bed. Only drawback is no free wi-fi available but i guess there's common in London? Location wise was great as it's just 2 min walk from Great Portland Station […] and 3 stations away from Paddington. It took us only 45min or so to get to hotel from airport. Läs mer

I had a weird feeling right when I checked in. While the pictures were great, something was just "off" about the hotel. One night, taking a cab back to the hotel, I told the cab driver where we were going and he said, "Oh, is that a real hotel?" When I asked what he meant, he said, "We call that a hotel of 110% in here in London." He was implying a […] certain kind of "room service." I stayed in Grange Fitzrovia for 6 nights while on business in London. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The location is wonderful - it's only a short walk from the hotel to Regent street and the shopping street (Oxford street), and also to a metro station. The decor of the room was a bit too dark and made the room feel even smaller than it was (by northamerican […] standards at least). but overall the room was comfortable, the bed was good, and the bathroom was nicely renovated and very clean. The variety of tea and coffee in the room (plus cookies) was a nice touch. Just two comments: the windows were not well insulated (and there was a constant draft and noise coming from the street). Also, a couple of electric plus near the bed would be a plus - it was hard to use a laptop in the room (the area around the desk was tiny, and so was the desk itself). I also needed to iron a few things and could not fit an ironing board in the area near the only plug. Läs mer

Best Hotel I have stayed in while visiting London. Highly Recommended.

The hotel is clean and the room was lovely but each night across the street deliveries are made to a grocery store and it is extremely noisy. Therefore, pack a noise machine if you want to rest well!

Really disappointed. Nowhere near 'the heart 'of London's theatre district. My only request had been a double bed, for a romantic escape - and we got twins. Local area was dull and miserable. Not recommended.

As advertised we found that The Grange Fitzrovia was indeed well placed for any where in the West End. With the right weather walking to Oxford Street is a pleasant stroll. Reception staff very, very helpful and leaving our luggage both before and after check-in times was no problem. We had a small but perfectly adequate "executive double" on the back of the building...maybe a bit quieter, tho Bolsover St. is not very busy. The room was impeccably clean with a large bathroom with 2-sink vanity. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We ate breakfast at Villandry Restaurant across the street -- very nice! Easy walk to shops on Oxford St., […] and into Regent's Park, and only a short cab ride to everything else. Recommended. Läs mer

If you want a Basement room where the walls are so thin you can hear the ablutions of your next door neighbour at 3am and you get woken up by the staff going into the kitchen next door - and the bed vibrates everytime the underground train passes underneath you then this is the 4 star place to stay!

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend of shopping and theatre. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Will try and stay here again on our next london visit

The Grange Fitzrovia staff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, pleasant and accommodating. The room (a twin double) was larger than I was expecting for a London Hotel and was very nice, not luxurious, but very nice. The only problem encountered was that the electric system needs to be updated. It blew out my hairdryer that was attached to both a converter […] and adapter! The rooms were nicely decorated in a traditional style - dark wood and heavy fabrics. The location is good but the road was quite noisy first thing in the morning (mainly due to some building work going on at a building opposite) and the room felt quite warm even though our stay was in late October. However for the price we paid I was very happy with […] the room and I would stay again, although I don't think I would pay the full room rate. Läs mer

The location is good w/ such price in central London, 10-15 min walk from Oxford circus. The room is Ok te bed is a bit soft though. One think I have to praise is the staff, they are very helpful and friendly which is difficult to find in London. :P

Clean, comfortable, excellent value! Very close to Regents Park, convenient to Frieze Art Fair. Some street noise, but this is London, of course.

I've been to London a few times and stay in a different hotel every time. So far this was my favorite. The hotel was clean, the management staff was incredibly helpful, and they even put a hand written note under my door letting me knowthey couldn't clean my room because the do not disturb sign was on the door all day. Don't even look at other hotels, […] just book this one. It's convenient to four different tube line stations, the neighborhood is quiet, and its easy to walk anywhere in central London if you'd prefer to walk. I'm absolutely enamoured by this hotel. A lovely old world hotel still with some of the original features. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to Regents Park and perfectly placed for some great little eateries and for Oxford Street shopping. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I have to admit this was a very strange expereince at this hotel. Because of no air conditioning in the room (no mini fridge either, but that's another story), we had to have our windows slightly open for a breeze at night, which meant sleepless nights because of the constant delivery and recyclying going out outside. No one at the hotel seemed very […] helpful--and it was not until the final day that we finally figured out that the concerige desk was actually the hotel bar. Neither were staffed very often, and the receptionist often had to call for the concergie. It was very nicely located to several Underground stops, which was great, but the next block down, there was also a Holiday Inn. We often looked longingly at it, and we probably would have been better to switch there. Läs mer

This is a first class hotel in great condition and order. The staff was extremely helpful and the hotel was very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location is also excellent, just a 5 minute walk to a tube stop. The only frustration that I had is that purchasing time on the wi-fi was ridiculously expensive. The hotel was quite comfortable and the food was good. But (i) the room size is somewhat small - just enough for two people to walk past each other, (ii) the reception area was also compact, (iii) the staff in the reception area were not quite friendly and we would have walked out if we did not prepay. We paid for king beds but were given queen beds […] without any apologies or explanation for the switch. We could have gotten something better elsewhere for the price we paid. Läs mer

The hotel was quiet and comfortable. The only irritating thing was they charge for WiFi.

Staff was very helpful in storing our bags before check-in. Room was very quaint and comfortable. Decent location to the underground and local restaurants.

Their hotel desk staff was terrible. They wouldn't let us check in early, they were actively rude if I asked questions or for help, they cheerfully made me wait (up to 20 minutes) before they would help me, and then they got the wrong information from their computer on three different occasions (ie, if the rest of my group had checked in already, and […] what their room # was.) They were horrible to work with. I had searched for a hotel that had breakfast and wi-fi included, but when we got there, breakfast was continental only and more than a good dinner, and wi-fi was pay-thru the nose, per day. Good beds and decent location, but who cares if you have to put up with the rest of it? Too many other London hotels to bother with this. Läs mer

I was looking for something quaint, quiet, small and a short walk to where I was working. This was all of the above and a good value to boot. Highly recommended. Room was good sized for the price and the bathroom and room up to date. Only negative - one has to pay for internet access though their rates are below normal. In the end I never needed  […] it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this central London location. We had a very comfortable room and received very good service.

When I booked the hotelroom, I was short of time. I have been very pleased with the kind and professional way I have been treated from the initial call, and til I left the hotel. All ekstra help and advice that I have asked for has been met with in at good maner. My stay at the hotel has been marked by shortness of time. The hotel staff were very pleasant at all times. Our room was very clean on arrival and was cleaned daily. The bed was very comfortable. Good quality furnishings throughout the hotel. The hotel is well located and it's about a 7-8 minute walk to Oxford Street (and the London Underground station there) and about 5 minutes walk in the opposite direction […] to Regent's Park. We were told by the check in staff that breakfast was included in our stay and then at check out we were presented with a bill. The manager basically said that she would ask the reservation clerk what she told us and get back to us, when she did, the clerk said that she did not say that. We didn't experience the full service as we were only there for the bed & roof above our heads! But receptionist seemed Lovely enough, the room was cosy, smaller than expected, but definately worth the money i paid for it.

Considering the money we paid I think it was overpriced; the staff responded quickly to the dirty towel in the bathroom when we arrived but I think the staff are not good at handling complaints. They ask if everything is ok and if it isn't they don't apologize they just say ok we will get someone to fix it - I didn't appreciate the attitude also there […] english was poor and there nature unfriendly not what I expect for this industry especially for a 4 star hotel Läs mer

Very good hotel, well located. Needs AC but most London hotels do too

... the rooms are very small and be aware that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. During my stay it was terribly hot. The Internet is not wireless and there is a daily fee for it (this doesn't appear on the hotel description.
