The Marriott was a great choice. The location was perfect and walkable to all of downtown, as well as to the Pearl. In addition to restaurants close by, food carts were just a couple blocks away and there were 4 coffee shops within a block! Great location, clean facility and room, comfortable bed, nice supply of bath towels, but no frills. Two small bottles of water were in room at $3 each; breakfast, parking, and internet were extra cost. We were assigned a handicap room even though the hotel was not at full occupancy and we are not handicapped, although I'm not sure how many handicapped […] people are able to step into the regular bathtub or reach the handheld shower head. We were not told it was a handicap room when we checked in and we were too tired to ask for other accomodation when we reached the 7th floor. We have stayed at this hotel before as it has a fabulous location, but this stay at the City Center was... odd. The staff were alternately receptive and cold. The suite was functional, but the pull-out sofa bed had never been unwrapped from its plastic and made with sheets - and when we asked them to do that, they seemed befuddled that we would want […] that. Our room hadn't been made up by 4 pm, despite the fact that the Do Not Disturb had been off the door since before 10 am. We also asked for a microwave and were told that they only had 4 for the entire hotel. It was later provided without comment and was in working order. For a hotel of this caliber, I would expect more amenities and a more responsive staff. In their defense, it was clear that there was renovation going on (we could hear it above us), which likely makes everyone's job more difficult. Läs mer

Our stay here was very good. The location is great. Our only serious issue worth considering is that the parking is Valet-only and is quite expensive. There are a couple of other publicly available self-park lots within 1-block that are cheaper. Either way these costs should be taken into consideration when booking at this hotel.

The Marriots changes and remodel is fantastic and its a great place to stay. The rooms are nicely done and beds are very comfortable and the service at the desk and restaraunt were great.

Location was great! No free internet and only valet pay parking at $32 a day. Had a family of 5 reserved and only got a king bed. We had to get 2 cots brought in.

The room I was in was just renovated and very nice. The staff was nice and friendly. But the food was not so great. They need to work on the taste of the food. It seemed since was not so busy that the food was packaged prepared. Nice bar staff though.

Zero complaints. And excellent hotel in a great location. Asked Jason, the front desk attendant, about restaurants to try and he took the time to print out quite a bit of information for me to use. Couldn't ask for better service.

My check-in was at 4pm and they didn't have ready suite for. I was very tired of my trip and had to wait until they cleaned up the room and get it ready. Service was horrible as well. Worst marriot experience ever!!!

Hotel was in a good spot downtown. But you were charged for wi-fi, haven't been to a hotel in a long time that charges for that! No on site parking, so if you wanted valet it was 32.00 for 24 hours! Lastly our shower curtain had a significant amount of mold, ewwww.

The hotel is very well located and is attractive. It is about in the medium price range for downtown hotels and its a relatively good value. Parking is expensive - $32 per night. This hotel was in a perfect location for where we wanted to be. The only thing we wish could have been better was the parking situation. It was unclear where to park or if the hotel offered any help in this regard.

Conveniently located in downtown, this hotel was a great place for us to stay while visiting Portland for a fun weekend. The helpful staff had lots of information on hand for some sightseeing and excellent recommendations for restaurants (of which Portland has many). The hotel is nice, if not spectacular, with comfortable and clean rooms. All the staff were charming and respectful. However, the more time i spent in the room, the dirtier i noticed it was. The bathroom floor hadnt been properly cleaned on a regular basis and there was dust in very obvious places. It made me wonder what wasnt so obvious.

When we purchased the room we picked the option of two double beds but when we got there we were given a room with one king bed and a rollaway. This did not fit with our family sleeping requirement. This was a big disappointment. Don't give this option if you can't deliver. Won't stay there again.

For a 4 star it was disappointing. No conceierge. In-room coffee is basicallyh a teabag of coffee. Really cheap with the everything - paper coffee cups, shampoos, etc. We had 2 in the room and for a 3 night stay we had to request extra everything... including toilet paper!

Very nice hotel in a convenient downtown location. Very good value especially when booked and paid in advance. Cellphone usage inside the hotel seems to be blocked forcing visitors to use the hotel phone and internet connectivity (which is free in the lobby only, otherwise about $10 per day.) If you are looking to enjoy the amenities of downtown Portland, and simply use the hotel to sleep off the local sweet libations, then this hotel almost fits the bill. The location in downtown is awesome, but after a weekend reunion stay with friends, we were referring to this hotel as the American Airlines of the hotel industry. Despite a less than […] competative price, they still found the need to charge for things found free at a Motel 6. Internet and breakfast were both pay (a lot) as you go, and the promise of a morning paper never materialized. The rooms are antiquated in the 70s grim feel, and the bathrooms lacked even a fan. Our outside view of three walls and the building's backup power generators ensured we spend most of our time away from the hotel. Do yourself a favor and stay at a cheaper and nicer hotel away from the City Center, and take advantage of Portland's great rail system to move in and out of the best areas. Läs mer

This hotel is just your typical downtown hotel. Nothing that sets it apart from other cities, but the location is perfect. Walking distance to Burnside and only a couple blocks from the max. There are a couple more hotels a block down on Broadway that look more stylish, but who cares how cool your hotel is? You're in Portland get out there and enjoy […] the town! Room was great and staff was very friendly. Rooms are not modern but very clean. The only beef is the unreal cost of parking at $32 / per night. Especially on days when street parking is free.
