Arriving at hotel on a Saturday, I immediately noticed the absence of patrons. Parking lot was empty except for a couple of vehicles. Entering the lobby, the decor was worthy of a Hilton, but not what I was expecting for a Double Tree. It was nice, just not grand. The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was rather small and more of a […] Hampton Inn - ish than what I would expect from a Double Tree. I do not want to give the impression that it was bad, it was not. It was clean, just not "grand". Had it not been for the deal i received from Hotels.com, i would have been very disappointed at full "Double Tree" rates. Prices on everything were what I would expect from a "grand" hotel and chose to eat and drink elsewhere. Stay was great with the exception of the howling wind at the balcony sliding door.it truly was like a wolf howling at the door. But overall the stay was great.

I had a great stay and the staff was very helpful. The area was very safe and the hotel was clean. Rooms was great with a view to the lake. The beds were doubles but I think all hotels call doubles queens. Bed was still comfy. I would recommend staying here since the crime is non existent and there is no construction close by. It's a great hotel with great amenities. I wish the fire alarm had not gone off in the middle of the night, but it turned out not to be that much of an inconvenience. The hotel's proximity to I-635 worked well for the sites we visited while in Dallas. I would stay there again if the occasion arose.

My room was clean however my sisters room had issues in this area. There is a breakfast which can be purchaced at two different prices. Buffet for 12.95 and continental for 7.95. Way to high on both accounts, both are self serve other than someone to get you coffee. Since, I am an early riser I enjoy coffee. The first morning the coffee pot in my room […] had to be replaced, which upon request was, but not until later. I asked about coffee at the desk and was told there is complimentary coffee in the restrant area around the corner. None availiable so I looked for the server, could not find the first day, second day she told me it was up to the night staff at the desk to keep the coffee availible. Asked the front desk and they said they don't do that. It is just coffee, how tough is it? Three different people told me 3 different things about coffee The staff also needs to learn to clean up in the lobby area and hall ways. By 11:00 am dishes in the hall and all over the lobby was not attractive. What do you think the first impression is? I had a balcony room with a fantastic view but no chair to sit in and enjoy. When a peason pays extra for a view and balcony they should not have to pull out the desk chair ar worst yet a recliner chair. Please consider even a small pation plastice chair because it really is a beatuiful view. The cookies are always great! Thanks. Läs mer

The price was very good even though I did paid extra for a balcony and lake view. I was a bit disapointed that the hotel air conditioners were very noisy on the balcony and it would have been nice to have a chair outside. The staff was very nice and helpful but housekeeping could have done a better job, (spider webs in the lampshade). Breakfast was […] not included which I did not mind since the price was such a good deal but the restaurant in the hotel was outrageous! I would definately stay here again but plan on eating off premises. Läs mer

Outstanding service, from the great tasting cookies to the friendly and smiling folks at the front desk. Room and hotel grounds were spotless, definitely one of the nicest atmospheres I've experienced in my travels. Rooms had spectacular views of the lake and Downtown, Midtown and North Dallas skylines. Location is a bit out of the way, right off the […] freeway, but at least 10 minutes from restaurants and shops or conveniences. But, nevertheless worth the stay. Will be returning! Läs mer

Great place to stay and a great location. With the Expedia Hotel special you get rooms facing the parking lot but still the comfort and quality stay.

All staff were very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking, and nice that they gave us warm cookies when we checked-in. The room was clean overall, but found some areas that seemed to not have been dusted/cleaned. The hotel is not close to any restaurants without getting onto the freeway, however, there are several restaurants about 5 minutes […] away on the freeway. The hotel was great. The checkin was worry free and quick. The room was great, clean and the bed very comfortable. They may have the coldest AC I've ever felt. It was a fantastic stay.

We had to ask for a new room because the first smelled like mothballs, the new room had a dried bloodstain on the sheets. We asked for additional pillow but they did not have any. so-so experience.

When we arrived at the hotel we were running late, the drive had been long and more than a bit stressful. So when we got up to the desk we were run down. The man at the counter was SO friendly! He found our reservation and checked us in quickly while making jokes and being very welcoming! He even gave us cookies! Our room was on the fourth floor and […] when we got up there the carpet was so plush it was easy to tell even with thick sole shoes. The room was nice smelling and looked very clean! The beds were covered in WHITE sheets and comforters, making me feel the beds were cleaner than some places where one is uncertain how clean they really are due to the problems with using bleach on them. There was a nice desk in the corner and the bath room was very clean! I am a bit OCD and I only flinched once while staying here, and that was just in the elevator because it could use a bit of a renovation. We picked this hotel because of all the good reviews so our expectations were high going in, I have to say it is very nice to be impressed! Läs mer

I got an awesome price for a great place, especially on a Saturday night. Bed was comfy and I slepet very well. I ordered room service and the food was delicious. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The staff was very friendly and provided superb customer service. The rooms were well maintained and very clean. Exceptional value for the price. It does appear to be in the middle of a business district. One must drive to get to any resturants, but they are not too far once you know where to go. I recommend driving to Midway and Beltline heading towards […] Dallas. There are really nice resturants in that area. A closer option is to go in the opposite direction on IH 635 towards the Baylor Health Center where you will find a shopping plaza with movie theater and resturants as well. Läs mer
