Hotell Super 8 Denver Stapleton - Denver

This was less than I expect form Super 8. The location needs a remodel.

You definitely get what you pay for here... fridge didn't work well and the heater blew mostly cold air in feb. The hotel printer didn't work and it seemed like it was a homeless hangout...didn't get any bug bites, although there was tons of black stuff all over the bedding. You get what you pay for!

Very quiet neighborhood. No slamming doors or people talking in the halls. Very clean.

This hotel should be condemned with a skull and crossbones, and NEVER recommended to anyone. Riddled with "no smoking" signs, it WREAKED of cigarette smoke. The first indication to leave was the foil covering some of the hotel room windows. Secondly, I was given a key to my room in which the bed was overturned frame and all, the light fixtures didn't […] work and the couch was hurled, thrown and lopsided in a corner. NO JOKE. I kindimmediately took pictures, turned around, skidded on my heels and LEFT. It IS located around OTHER great hotels however, and that is what saved me. I WILL NEVER VISIT A SUPER 8 HOTEL AGAIN. but this was not it. I wouldn't mind outdated carpet or comforters if everything was clean and in working order. Our telephone didn't work. The carpet had dead moths on it. The refrigerator was unplugged and would do us no good by the time it cooled off. The queen sized beds were nice and the bathroom had nice water pressure and a newer toliet. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. My room was dirty and the bed sheets had obviously not been replaced from the previous night. I went back to the front office to request another room and I had to wait 15-20 minutes to speak to the person behind the counter. I wouldn't of had a problem if they were actually dealing with a customer's problem, […] but they were talking about a personal matter while ignoring one of their customers. I guess customer service isn't emphasized here. Once I finally was able to talk to the receptionist, she did give me keys to another room and that one was in acceptable condition. She made a remark about how the maids weren't doing their job and would report them. Hopefully they have rectified their problems, but because of my experience I won't ever stay at this hotel again. When we showed up, well after check-in time, we were checked in to a room that was not clean. After some time of standing around in the hallway with all of our stuff they did put us in another, supposedly clean room. The room was stinky and muggy. Their website says that there is a nice environment to walk your pets - not true! The grounds were poorly […] maintained, mostly concrete, and a poor surrounding neighborhood. The price did not match the poor condition and management of this hotel. I would recommend staying at ANY of the other hotels nearby. Läs mer

for the price it was great. the first night the a/c in our room didnt work but the staff moved us to a way better room. for the most part we really didnt spend much time at the hotel because of all the stuff we planned but for the price it was perfect for our needs. the ladies at the front desk were helpful and cheerful even when we were dragging tail […] in late. aside from a little updating this hotel was perfect for a family on vacation with a budget. The hotel was not clean, the pillows were flat and they didn't have any more, did not have enoung towels, the plugs did not work to blow dry hair, and the lights kept going off and on.

This hotel was listed as 2 stars and I should have listened but it was close to my destination. Dirty bad neighborhood, room had torn up newspaper in the bathroom when we arrived, overall feel of the room and hotel was dirty, old and needed updating I will never stay there again.

The room is fine. The phone is broken, physically. The bathroom is very small. The bath tub is very small.

We checked into our hotel and left to go to a Rockies game. When we came back several hours later, our room keys wouldn't work until the 5th or 6th try. When entering the room, there was an awful odor, something burning, no electricity! We found ashes from the bathroom ceiling on the floor and could see fire smoldering in the ceiling. My husband ran […] to the desk and informed the clerk, who responded, "The manager will be here in the morning to check on it." She was insistent that we could./should stay in the room. We showed the people next door to us what was going on. The clerk did not go up to the room to check, even after I showed her the ashes on top of a magazine I had in the room. Before we left the smoldering broke into flames. Someone staying on the same floor called 911, not the clerk. She told us, again, "everything is under control". Läs mer

not in a good part of town, i would label this a geto hotel. Mold growing in tub. Had funny smell in all hallways, the room had a funny smell.

Booked this property because it was close to the Denver Zoo & Aquarium so the location was good but that's about it. The room was so filthy that when my son was playing on the carpet for like 10 mins, he stood up & his legs were black. It looked like someone painted him, would love to know the last time the cleaning staff actually vaccumed the carpet. […] There was cigerette burns on the tub & the ancient television in the room was so blurry it was really hard to watch anything. There is a continental breakfast offered every morning but not much food items to choose from; in fact, the toaster didn't even work so toast & bagels were out of the question. The outside pool was decent, we were able to swim a little bit. For a 2 night stay we survived but we will never stay there again or recommend the motel to any of our family & friends. Läs mer

Convenient location to I 70. Grounds unkept. Pillows were lumpy and atmosphere was dingy. Front desk was pleasant. Slim breakfast. Ok for just a place to sleep and cheap.

Fitness center and pool was down, dirty towel in bathroom, room keys didnt work, toliet paper stuffed in holes in bathroom walls, loud noise all night didnt sleep, smoke filled room after asking for non smoking from other rooms that it was allowed, Will never stay there again would avoid it even when desperate.

adequate for our purposes (which was a cheap alternative to the Marriott where our convention was) Room was clean and ok for sleeping. Free internet in room was a plus. Breakfast needed fewer stale donuts.

My son and I go to Dever at least twice a month for concerts and other events. We don't like the 2 hour drive coming home so this is why we stay. When we got there I asked for a taxi and it never came. I had to drive to the concert. The first room we were put in was not clean. Then the second room was being renivated and not usable. The rooms were old and out dated. It had a broken security door to the outside of the building which was a little concerning in a large city. The linens had holes and so did the furniture. However the staff was very nice and willing to help.

It's more of a motel and at the rate we paid you can't really complain relative to the cost of real Hotel's in the area. It's an older "hotel" and not walkable to much of interest unless you like corporate shopping stores that you can find anywhere in America. It's very close to the Northfield Mall; you could probably walk so if that's what you've just […] traveled to Denver to do you're in the right place. They even had bread for you to eat at breakfast and very week coffee with a few cereals, though no fruit or youghurt or anything else like that. It's really basic but it was clean so kudos to their cleaning people. The grounds were in sad shape, some litter, uncut grass and generally not well maintained but that's a reflection on the owners and the manager and their lack of investment in the place n general. Everytime we go to a Rockies game we stay here. The rooms are nice, the beds are comfy and the lady working the front desk was nice enough to give us a shortcut to coors field. All in all, a really nice play to stay for the price

This hotel caters to truckers and discounters, It is clean enough for them. I stay more than 100 nights in hotes annually and this was not my worst experience but it was in my top 5. All the hotels in Denver were full and at the end of the day I was happy to just get a room. The staff did as good a job as you could expect for the property they had to […] work with. The room was spacious but not as nice as the photographs on your website. Bathroom was a bit small and not enough water pressure in shower. There were a lot of loud motorcyclists going in and out of the lot when we checked in.

As we stood in the parking lot a drug deal went down.

The neighborhood is sketchy and so are some of the "guests" but it's close to 70 and $20 cab ride to downtown with tip. The room was actually very comfortable and it didn't seem unclean by any means. Staff was ok, and there was supposed to be a free continental breakfast which wasn't set up or somehow at 9:30am we missed it. Who knows maybe it's only […] for an hour starting at 6am. Bottom line, if you don't have a lot of money and can't get close to downtown ( we booked last minute and everything in town was sold out and we didn't have a lot of $$ )this is not a bad place to stay... just be aware that it is what it is. microwave didn't work..shower broke...bed lumpy

I booked a room for a week. I was given the handicapped room in between the "contential" breakfast room and the employee break room. All and all not too bad. Carpet in hallway next to my room had a huge lump in it and I kept tripping over it. The key to my door kept demagnitizing so I kept having to go to the front desk to get it fixed, they acted like […] I did something to it. When I arrived early and asked if they could watch my bags until I could check in the girl was not very friendly. The "contential" breakfast could have included some fruit and COLD milk but did have ceral, waffles, the tiny choc and powder donuts, orange juice and coffee. Läs mer

We had booked a room at this hotel because it had a pool and our kids wanted to swim while on vacation. When we arrived, we were told the pool was "closed due to a problem with the water". No apologies or alternatives, we sat in the room with nothing to do. The rooms were run down and dingy. The smoke alarm in the center of the room was hanging by a […] wire. We're done with Super 8. We just needed something close to Dicks Sporting Goods Arena for the Mile High Music Festival. We would have slept in a cardboad box for the right money. This place was great for the $68 that it cost us. It looks kind of run down, but it really wasn't that bad. I wouldn't go there for my anniversary, but for what we needed it for, it was great!

The hotel was your standard Super 8. It smelled of garlic and sheets were being folded on the front desk, similar to the last Super 8 I stayed at. The pool was small, but the kids enjoyed it and it seemed fairly clean. The beds were fine, the pillows were VERY lumpy, and the shower sunk in the middle, so you had to stand with one foot in front of the […] other. The staff was not very friendly. The service was above-and-beyond. The only negatives were that the carpet seemed a little dingy and my room's location with respect to the nearest router slowed down the data transfer speeds. By the way, the continental breakfast was muffins, waffles, toast, powdered donuts, and cereal--not bad for the price.
