Hotellet ligger perfekt till med närhet till allt. Det fanns en fin takterass där man kunde njuta av fin utsikt över Doumen. Rekommenderar varmt detta hotell.

The hotel has perhaps one of the best locations in Florence, very central. You can go by walk everywhere including the train station. The rooms are nice though a bit dark due to the location between traditional buildings. The building is not a traditional Toscan environment, it is more of a modern style. Not as noisy as I thought. It is just lovely […] to hear the bells from the different churches in the morning. People at the reception were very helpful in helping us finding different location and recomended wonderful restaurants for dinner. They have a service for using the computer in the 1st floor, but it was not a new one and the printer didi not work. The staff helped us to print our tickets though. Still, it would be nice to have proper equipment if you are paying 5 euros. The only dissapointment was that we were given a voucher for a free drink in the bar. When we were there nobody was there and the place was not nice at all, it is simply the breakfast room. We were never able to ask for the wine tasting because nobody seems to know much about it. Breakfast was not abundant but more than enough, with some sweet and salty options. A lack of fresh bread was noted by other tourists too. Overall a good experience. Läs mer

Hotellet ligger precis där man vill att det ska ligga. 1 minut från Duomo. 4 minuter från flygbuss/tågstation. Rena fina ganska stora,rum. Om man som jag vill sova med öppet fönster ska man boka rum mot gården annars är det väldigt mycket trafik utanför fönstret. Men detta är absolut inget problem med dubbelfönsterna stängda. Frukosten Ok, inget speciellt. […] Kan avnjutas ute på takterrassen när vädret tillåter. Rekommenderar detta hotellet både till affärsresor samt turismen. Läs mer

Nice hotel at a great location! Easy to get to from the train station (walking distance) and close to all attractions. View over the Duomo from the roof top terrasse where we had breakfast and drinks before dinner. Staff was very helpful in printing vouchers for our tickets to the Uffizi! We recommend!

Vi bodde på detta hotell fyra nätter under maj månad 2011. Kan verkligen rekommendera både staden som sådan och hotellet. Hotellet har ett utmärkt läge, när till allt som man vill besöka, gångavstånd till tågstationen, lung och säkra kvarter. Rummen och hotellet i övrigt var i mkt bra skick, rent och snyggt. Vi bodde ut mot gatan, men isoleringen […] var mkt bra, hördes ingenting. Trevlig personal! Frukosten som sådan är väl som de flesta hotellet i denna del av världen. Helt okej med andra ord. Jag och min reskamrat har haft en mycket trevlig vistelse på Hotell Laurus. Vi hade bokat via internet i oktober och allt fungerade som det skulle när vi anlände i början av april. Vi hade haft svårt att välja hotell eftersom utbudet är stort i Florens men till slut var det läget och takterrassen som fick fälla avgörandet. Väl på plats visade det sig […] att vi verkligen hade valt rätt. Sju minuters gångtid från flygbussen och mycket trevligt bemötande vid ankomsten. Fräscht rum med väldigt fint badrum och därtill utsikt över gatulivet. Det var dubbla fönster så inga ljud hördes utifrån gatan. God frukost på terassen varje morgon i sol. På kvällen satt vi åter på terassen, lyssnade på kyrkklockorna och såg fladdermössen flyga. Vi åt på terassen alla fyra kvällarna och till den goda maten provade vi olika sorters vin. Läget var mitt i alltings centrum oavsett om man ville titta på sevärdheter eller shoppa. Jag och min kamrat kan varmt rekommendera hotellet. Läs mer

This hotel is centrally located near the Duomo. We walked to all Florence sites - even those on the other side of the river. We had a triple room which was large (separate bedroom area for the 3rd person - no door between the rooms). The bathroom was nice. There were no screens in the windows, allowing mosquitoes to get in the room - this was annoying […] since 1) we couldn't get fresh air and 2) the cleaners opened the windows while cleaning (we walked in on them) letting bugs in. We left a note after we figured this out. The service in the hotel bordered on rude. They barely acknowledged us each time we entered and seemed bothered when we asked for restaurant recommendations. The lobby is tiny on the main floor with a slightly larger lobby on the first floor. Breakfast (included) was adequate, not great. Läs mer

This was the perfect place for a quick trip into Florence. Its very close to the Santa Maria train station. We we were walking distance to all of the major museums and tourist attractions. The view of the Duomo at night is spectacular. We enjoyed the staff at the hotel as they were helpful when asking questions about food or off the beaten path act […] ivities. Läs mer

Enjoyed the hotel and the view of the Duomo from our room, which faced the main street. Bed was hard, but so were all the other beds we slept on during our tour through other cities in Italy. Probably my biggest complaint regarding the hotel was that it was really hard to find! We walked past the place twice looking for the name of the hotel posted […] on the outside of the building (large signage like most of the other hotels and businesses). Instead, they have a large canopy for another organization - Life Beyond Tourism (which apparently they partner with and share a lobby). Their name is on a small sign to the right of the building's entrance. We ran into another guest later that night and he had the same complaint we did - hard to find and poor signage. Läs mer

Hotel is in a great location for all the sites and a short walk from railway station. Hotel was very clean and comfortable but the weather was not great when we visited and the room was quite cold. I was told by reception that there was no heat in rooms so we had to shower to warm up.

Simply fantastic deal. The hotel is conveniently located halfway between the railway station and the Duomo, walking distance to the attractions and right on the edge of the shopping belt. The room I had was modern and comfortable.

We were very pleased with the location and rooms. The bathrooms were great and the breakfast/restaurant balcony had a lovely view of the Duomo, which was just within walking distance. The only downside was a slightly rude set of front desk workers. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

Great location right near the Duomo. Room was fairly clean, nothing fancy but ok (kind of more dorm-like than a hotel room). However it was tiny and the bed was really hard. Not a huge deal since you spend more time sightseeing anyway. If you want something a bit nicer will need to spend a bit more - good for the price.

A lovely Hotel in a great location. Florence is full of historic works of art and architecture, so it was lovely to come back to a great hotel after a tiring day of sight seeing. The staff throughout the hotel made us feel welcome and the cleaners did a fabulous job.

This hotel is great for tourists who want to be near most attractions to walk to. Clean, we'll cared for ,and decent breakfast. We loved being able to walk to the duomo and the museums within minutes. Bed was very firm, but mild con to more pros. Staff spoke very good English which was helpful too.

Perfect location close to the Duomo and easy walking distance to so many lovely restaurants, and the whole of historic Florence. Excellent hotel standard. An early evening cocktail on the roof terrace with a superb view of the Duomo dome is highly recommended. Claudia will serve you a glass of wine and local cheeses.

+ Clean, Comfortable, Location. Room 703 (facing San Lorenzo) Well appointed with excellent bathrooms. Their "Mission Statement" is excellent & well stated & they live by it. Staff was occasionally difficult to locate especially when the doors are locked after 2am or when at the "Free Terrace Bar Drink" 2 hour window is happening. Complimentary continental […] breakfast. Excellent Hotel right in the heart of Florence. All the main attractions are no more than a pleasant 15 minute walk from the hotel. This is a 4+ star hotel. A bigger bath room than expected via European standards. Great staff and service. Comfortable rooms and ammenities. Most importantly, the location is perfect. You will never be far from your room if you stay at this hotel; you will be in the center of it all!

We visited at the end of January 2013. The location of the hotel is excellent -- a few minutes walk from the main train station in Florence and only 2 minutes walk from the Duomo. It is right on the edge of the designer shopping streets on one side and the more bohemian student quarter on the other. Our bedroom was on the top floor and had a view across […] the rooftops to San Lorenzo and the Cappelle Medicee -- really lovely. The room was big enough for us, with an adequate bathroom, all clean and well maintained. The breakfast room was one floor below us, with a lovely balcony with views across the city and of the Duomo. Good choice of food at breakfast and helpful staff throughout the hotel. They are running a programme called Life Beyond Tourism, which aims to encourage visitors to get a better understanding of the culture and spirit of the place. We felt this hotel was good value for money and was perfect for a short stay, allowing us to get to know the beautiful city of Florence. Läs mer

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Easy to visit the main places of interest in Florence and go back to the hotel to make a coffee or have some lunch. Note that you can have a tray with kettle coffee tea delivered to your room daily for free. This is a definite plus considering the price of these incidentals when out sightseeing. Breakfast […] was adequate and staff helpful. Everywhere clean when we stated that bulb had gone in the bathroom it was promptly changed. We were really pleased with this hotel. Location was great! Our room was really comfortable and very spacious, also the bathroom was really good size and clean, so we were really please with that because the bathroom in our hotel in Rome was tiny. The Staff at the Duomo were really friendly and willing to answer any question we had.

The hotel was excellent and could not have been better, and the front-desk staff were very helpful. The room was a little dated for a four-star. We also had a premium room with a King and a view, so I was surprised by the hard bed. It was the least comfortable bed in a three-week vacation in Southern Europe!

We stayed for 3 nights and loved the hotel. The rooms are modern and clean, the staff is friendly, and the location can't be beat. Just steps to the Duomo and all major sights accessible by foot. The train station SMN is 5 minutes away. We will definitely come back when in Firenze again.

Conveniently located, just 4 blocks from Florence train station (Firenze SM). About same distance to Uffizi Gallery and to Academia Gallery, Ponte Vecchio and to the beautiful cathedral. What a pleasant surprise, the location of this hotel is excellent.. We had a great room 606 with a terrace and view, breakfast was awesome.. Very clean, big for Italy standards would recommend and definitely return. I am a very picky person, usually stay at 5 Star hotels so you won't be disappointed.
