Hotellets läge var väldigt bra. Nära både buss och tunnelbana. Rummet var dock litet men höll ändå normal standard för att vara ett hotell i London. Dålig internetuppkoppling dock.

Ett OK hotell med medium standard och mycket bra frukost.

Vi åkte två vuxna och två ungdomar 16,17 år. Vi tog två dubbelrum och båda rummen var fräscha med bra sängar. Duschen i det ena rummet var lite så där, vattnet rann sakta. Värme fanns i rummet och även en hårtork. Det var lyhört. Dock var tunnelbanan lite störande till en början sedan vande man sig. Pub i källaren, där var det lugnt och skönt. Hotell i London har kanske lite lägre standard generellt, detta hotell var/är helt ok för pengarna det kostar. Rent på rummen, men de är små i storlek. Bra sängar. Stadens buller hörs om man som vi bodde mot järnvägen/underground, men det är ju en storstad.. Skönt med pool att vila trötta fötter i, öppet till 23:00. Bra frukost, köp den inkluderad. Rummet vi bodde i var ett litet men mycket fräscht. Hotellet ligger mycket bra. Personalen var mycket hjälpsamma och trevliga. Frukosten var oväntat bra. Rekommenderar detta hotell!

Trevligt och prisvärt hotel, med bra bussförbindelser till Oxford street och Picadilly Circus samt även direkt ner till Victoria station. Fräsch pool och en liten bastu. Skönt för trötta shoppingfötter. Nära Queensway med bra restauranger och två t-baneförbindelser. Också mycket nära Hyde Park med härliga promenadvägar.

Trevligt hotell men rummet kändes väl litet till det priset. God frukost.

Detta hotell var en positiv överraskning. Mycket trevlig och tillmötegående personal, fin och fyllig frukost, perfekt renoverat (nyligen verkade det som) och läget var utomordentligt bra med buss 148 hela vägen till Victoria Station om man så vill och buss 94 direkt till Pic.Circus. Trevligt område med ett par fina och skojiga pubar...

Detta hotell ligger mkt bra till i London. Det är nära till bussar som går hela tiden till och från stan och Notting Hill. Tunnelbanestationer ligger bra nära på 2 linjer. Ett stenkast till bra pubar. Butik 1 min därifrån. Grekisk rest.bredvid. Kensington Garden ligger 4 min från hotellet. Där kan man hyra cyklar och åka runt till Hyde Park. 20 min […] gångväg till RA Hall. Badrummet var dock väldigt trångt. Hade oturen att TV´n inte var vänd mot sängen. Lyhört till korridoren. Däremot väldigt bra städat och rent. Frukosten var bättre än vanligtvis i England. Bra valmöjligheter på tallriken. Trevlig spansk-engelsk personal. Adapter finns att låna. Bra service för besök av attraktioner. Kunde lämna väskorna flera timmar sista dagen mot biljett för säkerhet. Såg att det fanns en pool i källaren när vi skulle åka hem. Läs mer

This hotel is great for its price I don't even know why people are complaining. The service is good, of course there are some people who won't impress you but that's not enough to judge the entire hotel for being bad. It's a short walk to Queensway and Bayswater station, near Hyde Park and with a lot of restaurants and shops near the area.

Hotellet ligger nära allt. Man kan promenera till det mesta eller åka tunnelbana då flera stationer ligger inom gångavstånd. Tycker man om att gå behövs inget kort till kollektivtrafiken. Vet man inte vad man vill äta är det bara att gå ut och titta på menyer, det finns många bra restauranger i området Bayswater. Prova även puben The Champion lite […] längre bort mot Notting Hill med suverän many och ölutbud och Notting Hill Arts Club med olika musikklubbar och suveräna drinkar! Bra frisör finns utanför Whiteleys galleria på långsidan, Georges. Avslappnad miljö. Bra frukost på hotellet och jättebra kaffe. Bra bemötande av personalen. Om man vill ha ett litet rum till budgetpris så är det helt ok. Små rum litet badrum men fräscht. Inredningen väldigt standard men funktionell! Låga förväntningar = Nöjd

We were disappointed to find that the room was not as descibed. It certainly did not have a seperate sitting area and shower/bath tub combination as described. The room was so small we could not fit both our bags in. We had a very pleasant 4-day stay at the hotel. The location was fantastic and easily accessible to the very good public transport system. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not grand, but adequate.

This hotel was fantastic for the price. Free bfast, free wifi (other hotels I looked at charged up to 20 GBP PER DAY for internet access), nice/safe neighborhood right near Hyde Park. Easy access to the Tube with 3 stops within a 10 min walk. Room was a little on the small side when compared with American hotels, but it had everything I needed, and […] was warm and comfortable. Staff was nice. And the floors were named after Henry VII's wives, which was a nice touch. There was a sauna and pool, too, although I never used it. It's only about 5-min walk from the Bayswater Station and it is served with delicious Breakfast Buffet. It also has lift access to upper hotel rooms ! Bed Sheets are clean and rooms are provided with unlimited wifi access ! With the budget below 100 pound per night, I guess this is the best hotel you could get. Hotel King Henry viii was a good hotel for the money paid with very helpful and curteous staff. However, the facilities are 3 star and not 4 star. If I had paid 4 star prices I would have been disappointed. Room service is just a couple of sandwiches and crisps and nuts and I had to collect them from the bar which was very bizarre. Helpfull staff, Clean rooms, Well serviced . Good Buffet Breakfast.Good Value for London. Close to restaurants and facilities of Bayswater/Queensway.

Well kept building with extensive breakfast buffet and wifi throughout the hotel. Location is just out of the city center, but several underground stops are nearby as well as a shopping center (coffee places, supermarkets and mayor clothing brands). Ideal for a city trip!

this was such a nice place to stay in london, The room was a little small but still very comfy, and plenty of personal space, the staff were very kind, nice and helpfull, they were very knowlageble and easy going, the recepion is 24/7 , its only a 5 min walk from 2 tube stations, and the hope on/off bus tours of london depart from just around the cornor […] @ the petrol station, @ hyde park, so the location is very convienent, a beautiful hotel that i would reccomend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in london :) Läs mer

The hotel is located in Bayswater, not to far from the Underground. The room was clean and tidy, but quite worn. Breakfast was good. Pool area was very nice, but to cold for us to use (February). If you only need a sleepover in London, you get good value for the money.

Staff not very helpful had to repeat the booking name 5 times for him to check us in Shower in room (no bath) was only a trickle Coffee was rubbish Didn't try the pool Convenient for tube access to central London but that's about it

I booked the Henry the VIII Hotel on- line based on value. The rate included a full breakfast, in room coffee, and free WiFi. And the picture showed a "Hyde Park" antique white look of the building from the outside which appealed to my traditional senses. My single room was newly refurbished. I had a lovely balconied window with fresh white curtains, […] and plaid over drapes. The breakfast items varied from day to day but all were fresfh and tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bus was two short blocks away, and there were grocery stores and restaurants nearby. All in al, staying at the Hotel Henry VIII made my first visit to London very easy and comfortable. Positive: great location! Stores and restaurants are nearby. You need to take 13 minutes to Paddington and queensway if you take heavy luggage. Big and comfortable Negative: Air-conditioner was broken. No one fixed it during my stay and the manager kept lying the technician on the way to fix it (I have not seen any technician really work on Sunday, […] what a lie!). A really conviently located hotel, within walking distance of all major attractions. The hotel was clean, comfortable and a joy to stay at. Ok the room was a little small, but as we were using it as a place to sleep, not really an issue. The only down side was we had a ground floor room, which meant you could feel the vibrations of the underground. The […] hotel is part of a Spanish chain, and so has the quirkiness of the Spanish people, we really enjoyed the relaxed and laid back approach, the staff were helpful and courteous and extremly helpful. Let me say right up front that the room was small but they all are in London. Beyond that the hotel was great and clean. A good place to sleep and shower. The staff was wonderful. We arrived without our luggage and they were very helpful about where we could shop for clothes as well as get something to eat. Our stuff was delivered the next day by the […] airline and they stored our things safely until we returned from sight seeing. They have free internet in the lobby. Henry VIII is in a great location. Walking distance to lots of shops and specially Portobello Road. The hotel staff is helpful, the breakfast was good, the room was small but OK, it's clean, well maintained and reasonable.

Bottom line: perfectly functional as a base to sightsee in London. I would stay here again. Let me preface this with the fact that I'm an American and six foot tall. With that in mind, my thoughts in no particular order: - The room (a double sized bed) was very compact, smaller than even the guest room in my own home. Two people in the same room would […] easily get in each other's way every so often. - water was hot, bathroom and room were clean and very sharp. - don't think there is A/C in the room. - Left window open at night, could hear the Tube running by every so often, could make trouble for light sleepers. - Centrally located in relation to four different Tube stations, including Paddington that has the Express to/from Heathrow, but all at least five minute walk. -Smallest hotel elevator I've ever seen in my life, maybe 3-1/2 by 4-1/2 feet? Rolling an stroller in there would be tough. - Also, elevator ground floor is the "0" button (not "G"), and the basement is "-1"; nothing wrong, just different. - Hyde Park is maybe a five minute walk, but do have to cross a busy street to actually get to it. - Queensway Rd is a couple streets over and has a lot of restaurants. - Except for the Tube, very quiet neighborhood. Maybe even a little upscale based on the types of cars parked on the streets (e.g. Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, even saw an Aston-Martin). - Breakfast was satisfactory. This is the WORST hotel I have stayed in ever. I can not imagine what else they could do wrong. To start there are giant tears in the carpet in the main lobby, hallways and stairs, that will trip you and foul your luggage...dark disgusting stains in the carpets and furniture. Bed sheets are worn out with pills. The walls are so thin you can hear every […] fart and sniff of your neighbor at night. The toilet in our room did not have a proper pipe attached (no S) to trap gases and did not flush properly, the shower had only half a door and then a curtain was thrown up to cover the missing half. The shower head was broken and had no pressure. Complaints to staff were dismissed with "come back later". I found the night guard sleeping. I saw the maintenance man tell the guard "I don't care if people are yelling at you, I'm not going to fix it tonight". I paid up-front for a week in advance but was stuffed into the smallest room in the entire hotel. The ceiling fan was dripping with dust balls. The window was chained shut but the room was suffocatingly hot. When I asked the front desk to move me because of noisy neighbors they told me the room configuration was "confidential information". I explained to them it was public knowledge printed on the map on the back of every door (due to fire code) and they just gave me a blank stare. I realized at some point the staff are nice enough but helpless. All the problems I found pointed to management neglect. I asked day after day for updates on my complaints and was told no one could find the owner and he is the only one who could do anything. Since I paid in advance I did everything I could to make the best of the situation so it would not ruin my trip. The cost of this hotel is outrageously high compared with better hotels all around it. You can go up or down any street and get a better deal. My loss, your gain. Don't stay here. Läs mer

It's much better than what I expected, and I paid, the location is great- a block away from Hyde Park, nice staff, decent English style breakfast (expect eggs..), I defiantly recommend this hotel to my friend.

Only after making the reservation I took a look at some reviews for the Henry VIII hotel. I didn't like what I saw. The hotel was describe as a trap for fools... With this notion my wife checked in a day before me. She got a room on the ground floor. It was hard for her to sleep as the sound of passing trains was heard quite loudly. In the morning […] she asked to change a room. From this point, everything was just great. She was moved with no hesitation to the 3rd floor. I joined the next day and we spent a nice weekend in London. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were polite and helped us find ourselves around. Breakfast was generous and tasty. It was English style and had everything a person will want to start the day off. The location is good as it is 5 minutes walk to the Queensway underground.
