Hotell The Deauville Beach Resort - Miami Beach

Härligt hotell med en känsla av 70-talet. Perfekt läge på stranden underbar utsikt. Å ena sidan känns det slitet, men å andra sidan är det oxå charmigt.

Ett hotell med visserligen strandnära lägen, men rum som borde moderniseras och där allt kretsade kring spansktalande gäster.

me and my brother went on a vaccation and stayed at this hotel seriously it was really good but the only thing was that we had to take the cab every where.but generally i liked it. good restaurants near by and the gym was really good. i liked the beach and the pool so 4/5 is my grade for this one and i will hopefully stay at this hotel again

Hotellet genomgick en renovering där bl.a. alla fasader målades om inför en inspelning av en ny TV-show. På grund av renoveringen var tyvärr poolvattnet fullt av skräp de dagar vi var där. I övrigt var hotellet i gammal 60-tals stil med god service i restauranger och barer.

Det här hotellet ligger på tok för långt ifrån det man vill se av Miami Beach. Taxi kostade 15-17 dollar tur och retur varje gång man skulle ner till South beach eller områdena runt 8-15 gatan där allt det roliga händer. Urdålig incheckning. Förstår inte hur man från ledningens sida kan acceptera så långa incheckningstider. Tog en kvart varje gång man […] ville fråga något eller få hjälp med någonting. Korridorerna luktar mögel och var inte fräscha. Likaså rummen var inte fräscha och hos oss stod en toalett och rann hela tiden. Nästa gång jag reser tillbaka är detta inte ett område jag bokar hotell i. För samma pengar och då är alla taxiresor inräknade som då ändå kommer att få så lägg hellre logipengarna på ett hotell i områdena runt 15-17 gatan Collins avenue. This hotel is far too far from what you want to see the in Miami Beach. Taxis cost 15-17 U.S. dollars round trip each time it was down to South Beach or the areas around 8-15 street where all the fun happens. HEAVY check-in. It took 15 minutes each time you wanted to ask something or get help with anything. The corridors smell like mold and was not fresh. Similarly, the rooms were not fresh. Next time I go back, this is not an area I book hotels in. For the same money and then all taxi trips included at that time will still get as add more money accommodation in a hotel in areas around 15-17 street Collins Avenue. Läs mer

Ett mycket bekvämt hotell med tanke på vad vi betalade (40% rabatt). Ligger nära några sköna barhak och inte allt ifrån bra ställen att äta på. Det fanns alltid gott om beachstolar vid den stora poolen och baren där spelade bra musik. De spelade även våra egna skivor när vi bad dem. We stayed at this beautiful Art Deco Hotel steps from the beach .Excellent customer service-outdoor dining available from their dinng room and poolside bar.We enjoyed walking on the beach under the moon.The bed was comfortable,beautiful ocean view from the window in our room.

This is my second time staying in this beach resort because of the location and Ocean Front view. The view is like being on board a crew ship having a very private balcony all you see is the ocean. Mike the concierge was most helpful. The people were great rooms were fantastic. Ocean view room was beautiful. Definitely a wonderful lil lovers getaway spot. Private beach. Close to shopping n south beach. Valet was expensive public parking was cheaper and they offer free shuttle service if you dont wanna walk the 3 1/2 blocks.

The hotel is tired .The parking was awful. We had a car and were told we had to find public parking because there was no valet. Our room was missing a lamp and a picture. We upgraded to a ocean view room and the sunrise was great. The hotel is far from the south beach action. The Deuville Hotel is an old hotel. It must have had its hay day in the 50's and 60's. The Beatles played at theDeuville. The hotel is very spacious. The beach is fabulous. The rooms are large, and clean, but do need modern renovations. The hotel is in the process of renovating its 400 rooms. I would recommend the hotel for anyone, but do not expect […] modern or luxurous rooms , as only 3 floors have been renovated. The valet garage is also being renovated. We got there and found out that there was no onsite parking. Had to park in city parking lot approx. a mile down the street. They do offer shuttle service to the parking lot. I don't like shuttle service so we walked.

I travel on business 100 nights per year. No on-site parking, no valet parking. Had to walk six blocks for public parking. Never again. one start maybe. Needs major renovation.

January, 2012 Recently stayed at the Deauville Resort in Miami Beach. The pictures on line do not reflect the worn, outdated rooms. Torn carpet, scuffed walls and old style TV. Although they advertise bathtub and shower, unable to use the tub as there was no plug. The water for the shower was cold in my first room and luke warm after I was moved. Like many hotels in Miami Beach, this one was older. It looked a little rough around the edges and the service was way below average. They missed wake up calls and didn't always give us towels and there was no parking at the hotel. We had to walk four blocks. Bad: no bathtub mat unless you ask for one; in several rooms, one of the two double beds SQUEAKED (!) loudly if you turned - king-sized mattress may be quiet; room service didn't clean the room; hotel restaurant was very slow to bring food ordered; parking was difficult; dim lighting in room unless you ask for additional lamp. The service was good, restaurant was good. Nice location, directly on the beach which we didn't get to enjoy because it was too cold (beginning january). The dissappointment was that the pictures showed very luxurious but the hotel is really old. The room was small and dark (only one lamp to light the whole room- we asked for a second lamp which they […] brought right away but it was still dark) and the mattress was broken...really caved in on one side. People were kind and friendly, except the keeper of the chairs at the beach! Only real complaint was housekeeping. Had to call t 3 PM to have room made up. then the woman only left 2 towels for 3 women. No wash cloths or hand towels.

The hotel is in need of a major face lift! The staff acts as though the survival of the hotel is irrelevant. No one goes the first step to do his or her job well, with a smile, or efficiently. An example is we went for a drink (the bar in the lobby is not open at all). It took 10 minutes to place the order; two people got their drinks, the other two […] waited; one drink order was not correct; the bill took at least a half an hour (and they held the credit card for that long, too). The first room they put us in had a bad smell, i told them and they gave me another room. The pool is not heated. The pool and the hot tub need a paint job. Every day i had to ask for more towels, because for a family of four they would give me less and less. very austere, very poor service for getting car from valet

Did not state valet parking, which charges extra. Then they tell you call ahead for your car, then when you do they say just come down and wait 20-30 mins, then you have to keep tipping every time you request car. Neighboorhood not that clean for Florida and a little scetchy. Hotel lobby clean and nice very spacey but pool area is dirty and rooms outdated, […] paint on lights and bathroom kind of patched together. Not much light in room just blah. Should charge a motel rate not high end, spend your money elsewhere. Then at 3:00 in the morning someone entered our room, front desk never called me back to explain, I called and went down, they shrugged it off, it was a mistake--thats a breach of security!!! For the money it's ok, the seafront room did have very nice views. The staff are indifferent and unhelpful and valet parking looks like a mess. Wireless internet works well but air conditioning units smell. Room service is incredibly slow. This is a large hotel located directly on mid-Miami Beach. The beach in this area of residential condos is beautiful. This is not the South Beach or Lincoln Rd. scene. The Deauville is an older hotel that is showing it's age. During our stay, the pool was closed the entire time and the staff repeatedly told us that it was only going to be down for "the day", which they should have truthfully stated, "the forseeable future.". After 3 days of our trip were passed by, they offered to take us 2 miles away to another hotel […] owned by the owner of the Deauville, we did take them up on this but the other hotel seemed unaware that we were comeing over since everything was locked up. There was little to no communications between staff for some reason. Our toilet seat also came off the bowl when lifted to answer nature's call. They did fix it within the next day, but this was awkward. They also offered for us to move to another room which is fine I guess. There was a junction box cover hanging on one screw and with a little push, I could reveal the old, cloth covered, electrical wires within the wall. It seems to me that with a small amount of effort, the hotel could be brought up to the standard that it should be, with rooms that overlook the surf and beach and some nice features like the balcony on the seaside rooms and a goodly sized closet, in-room safe, flat screen TV, and free WiFi, they have a great start, Without the pool and hot-tub being in top shape and no atmosphere on the surrounding area, the place seemed just dead. The next hotel down was having a bar-b-cue and playing some carribean music and the people there looked very happy. there is a walking path behind all the hotels which is almost perfect, with a little more work it could be finished and kept clear of plant overgrowth. The beds are more full than queen and they roll when you go to sit on them sometimes. Our stay gets a less than satisfactory rating from my family, and we will not return. There are too many resorts fighting for the money to allow a hotel to spring all this unavailability on us last minute after the bill was already paid in advance via Hotels. Läs mer

Place is in need of serious upgrade. Pool was closed for the whole weekend of visit........was never told at check-in.

The hotel was kind of throw back , like the Dean Matrin days but it was overall good. Great pool and beach location. No really good local places to eat within walking distance though.

The location of the hotel was really nice, right next to the beach however the rooms were disgusting. we had what looked like dried throw up on our wall the bathroom was covered in cracks and stains. The ocean view was out standing, the carpets are worn down. The valet parking was not bad at all, just needed to give ahead notice. There were no place to hang towels and for the frost glass in the bathroom leading to living room we did not care for, a mirror instead facing you in front of sink will do just fine. We stayed here 5 nights in an ocean front room. If your looking for affordable oceanfront lodging in Miami beach this is the cheapest. The hotel is dated and needs major renovation. I definitively would remove the carpets from the rooms. But the ocean view was awesome!

If that's a 3 star hotel I'll kiss your foot. Don't stay there.

I understand that this is a large and 50's era hotel and I'm fine with that. I didn't expect a chic "boutique" hotel. However the hallways are painted a depressing green that resemble an aging hospital. The room itself was fine but the bathroom was horrible. The hotel itself is a very stylish and cozy facility, very art deco-ish and very comfortable. There was an issue with not getting the type of room we requested, but the concierge was very helpful and we ended up getting a corner room with a king-sized bed and an oceanfront view which was absolutely breathtaking. Amazing! However, I did have some gripes. […] First of all, the valet service takes FOR EVER to park and retrieve your car. We consistently waited 20-30 minutes, time after time again, to get our car. The only exception being when we checked out (ironically enough). It was so bad that we ended up forgoing the valet service and parked on the street whenever we could. What a waste, as the valet fee is ridiculously expensive. Also, housekeeping left us without towels one night. We had to call housekeeping to replenish our towels. It took 40 minutes. We had to call three times and get two supervisors on the line before one of them finally came up and personally handed us the towels. Not good. We pulled up and there were 5 valet guys talking and paying no attention to the guests pulling up to check in. Then they made no effort to assist us into hotel. Leaving hotel took us 35 minutes to get our car. Everything else was ok but that's enough to keep me from going back.

Pros: Nice lobby Cons: The staff at check-in and the restaurant staff are zombies. The Le Mer restaurant automatically adds an 18% gratuity to all bills which translates into 0% attention to patrons. We were not asked if we wanted a second drink or a water or coffee refill. Our food selections were always touted as the best on the menu and if that is […] true I cannot imagine how bad the other menu items are. The wife had lobster bisque and a greek salad and got immediate diarrhea. The sauce on my fettuccine Alfredo was an extra $3 and the from scratch chocolate mousse had to come straight from a jello instant package. As for the room, the toilet flushed every 5 minutes; when the AC turned on it sounded like a jet taking off; there were only two worn out sheets on the bed so we had to call down for a blanket; the balcony door whistled like it was auditioning for american idol and the carpet was badly in need of being stretched. Do yourself a favor & stay elsewhere. Currently staying at this hotel & customer service is nonexistent. When you pull up, don't expect any one of the 10 people responsible for valet parking to come up & greet you or take your car. And when you need to leave, valet isn't any better. We are still waiting for our car as I'm writing this review & it's […] been over 20 minutes (only 3 cars have pulled up so far). People are standing up the stairs waiting for their vehicles.
