Hotelrummet var av medelklass ,det possitiva var att de hade uppvärmd pool med jacussi. Hotelets resturang kan vi varm rekomendera , mycket trevlig personal & god mat för hyggliga priser och en vacker utsikt mot marinan. Ett plus till var att man parkerade precis utanför sin dörr, och att de hade bevakning dygnet runt. Everything was wonderful...beautiful property..great location to Eckerd college..very comfortable beds room was spacious even had ceiling fans which added great comfort to the AC...great view of e bay from Tiki bar..2pools and hot tub.... I would recommend this hotel for anyone that doesn't want/need to be directly in the middle of St Pete Beach. They are a short car ride to the beaches and far enough away that you get peace and quite when you want it. They have their own simulated beach which serves it's purpose, two pools and a hot tub, as well as many other amenities (restaurant, […] arcade). Fantastic place. Tiki bar, private beach, 2 pools. Clean and very well maintained. My only caution is the rooms are small and have window units for a/c. The Restaurant is first rate and all the staff was friendly. Do not pass this place up. I stayed 2 nights and wished I spend my whole vacation here.

Don't let the nice resort pictures fool you, the rooms are old and have that weird "old motel smell". Our rooms had A/C units that are impossible to tell what temperature you're setting it too. Was either too cold or too warm several nights by the time we found a comfortable setting. Every day I had to call reception to dial my 1-800 number because […] it never worked in either rooms. One of the calls, I had a work-related conference call and needed it dialed right away. I landed on a rude receptionist that kept telling me she couldn't dial the number for me and had to get maintenance to fix it. One of the nights, we came back and found a lizard on the wall. A VERY bad experience at another pet friendly hotel caused me to book Marina Cove at 6:30am. I had done absolutely no research on it, so I was a little worried. When I called ahead and the front office staff made special arrangements for me to check in at 7am. This was much appreciated. Since housekeeping didn't have a chance to deep clean, my room […] smelled strongly of dog, so I aired it out for awhile as my dog played on the patio and I ordered breakfast from the onsite restaurant. I had 2 housemen come in and Febreeze twice which didn't help. Housekeeping did a deep clean the next day and that did the trick. Other than that, I had a perfect stay. They have a small beach on the bay and a large (unfenced) grassy area for your pet to play. All of the staff was friendly and very accomodating. The room is more than adequate for the price. You get a coffee maker, largish minifridge, iron...no microwave though. The tv is a little old, but that's not a big deal. The room was very clean and well-maintained. The hotel is about 10 mins from Pass A Grille, St. Pete Beach and downtown. GREAT location. I enjoyed myself so much that I booked an extra night! I will definitely stay there again. Läs mer

This place was great. We needed a a little get away and this was perfect. So close to so many things to do and see. We went to Fort Desoto to ride bikes and it was 15 minutes away. The beach bar was great and so was the food. This resort had everything we needed. The two pools lokked inviting so did the hottub. We will definitely be back!

This hotel is at the northmost end of the Sunshine Skyway, close to Eckerd college. The service was very good and the front desk promptly and politely helped me with my concerns. Stayed here for three days as was arranged for me for a conference nearby. The place is in a strange location, right off the highway exit and the "private beach" is some imported sand on the edge of a dirty boating marina, wouldn't swim here if you paid me. We loved this hotel and are already planning to return in February. It is an old-fashioned beach hotel, with rooms that look out over the beach, pools, hot tub, etc. It is not a fancy resort, so if you are expecting that, this is not the place for you. If you just want a family hotel that is a great value for the money , try this.

We were sttranded in Orlando due to Hurricane Sandy and wondered to the East Coast (Cocoa Beach) and found it closed due to the passing Hurricance. When our original plans ended we opted for an East Coast/Gluf visit and select St Petersburg (for no reason). We chose Magnuson based on pictures and reveiws, but found our selves in a Motel rather than […] a Hotel. The property is generously spaced, 2-pools (1-heated) and a mall hot tub; a tiki bar overlooking the water with a small (but usable) beach front. The place is dated, but well kept. I would not hesitate to stay here again, but would not be my first choice. Beach bar overlooking Tampa Bay was a nice place for a drink at night. But they could use more than one hardworking bartender. Pool area is nice. Very convenient to Eckerd College, just seven minutes away.

I had read some of the negative reviews after we had booked our stay, and started feeling skittish about it. When I got there, I immediately started to look for the negative in the place. There was very little to find! The hotel is in a safe area (although i can see how some may feel apprehensive about it being next to the expressway). We drove every […] day to the surrounding stores and restaurants, and we felt very safe! The room was extremely clean, and the beds were cozy, with extra pillows. There were a few blemishes in the room: one of the chairs had a stain on the seat, the shower was clean but had some light wear and tear on wall. Our toilet got plugged one night, however the staff sent someone right up to fix it, and there were no more problems! There was a review that said the hotel falsely advertises as a resort, but that is not true! The grounds are beautiful, with a casual laid back atmosphere. The pictures are exactly what it looks like. It sits on an ocean view of a fishing pier, so the small beach area is for beauty but not for swimming. We used the pool every day, and although there were some hard water stains on the floor of the pool, the water was perfect and the pool area was ALWAYS clean! We drove to the beach, which was less than ten minutes away and very easy to get to. The service was wonderful the whole time we were there! The website for this hotel is very decieving. There is only a fraction of beach access, which is dirty and full of seaweed. When I stayed there, you couldn't even access the beach because there was a giant wall of seaweed that was never removed. The location of the property is extremely isolated. There is absolutely nothing within walking distance. […] If you are staying here anyways for the price, I would strongly recommend renting a car, otherwise you will be left with no beach and a sub par restaraunt. This is an older hotel but overall ok. Was able to watch 4th of July fireworks from the beach. Restaurant service and quality of food was excellent. Only one bath towel, toilet was loose at bottom where it connected to floor and the ceiling fan needed replaced due to constant creaking noise. I would not recommend to a friend.

The room 3 doors down from us was broken in during our stay. This hotel is located in a sketchy neighborhood. Our room was joined to another room with mutual locking doors.
