Very comfortable rooms and amenities. The lounge area (inside and outside) makes for a great place to relax. The pool is warm and big enough to enjoy. Staff is professional and courteous. I would like CM to offer a breakfast as do some of their competitors as this price range. Very convenient to Carlsbad airport.

Enjoyed our short stay, hotel met our basic needs but no more. Nothing exceptional just OK. Closet was small and cramped and it was tight quarters try to use the sink and get into the closet because they are both crammed into a tight space. Location felt very industrial and there was no place to get out and walk with out driving somewhere. It seems […] to be geared to the single business person who wants to get in and out and needs practicality not so much pure comfort. It worked for us but I would stay more than a couple of days. I found the Courtyard Marriott in Carlsbad, CA to be a great place to stay. It was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed looking out the slider on to trees and pool. Staff was very nice, especially Ellen! She went out of her way to be of assistance.

I really enjoyed the comfortable bed, which was remarkable for sure and I the cafe style restaurant actually had healthy options that tasted great. I was surprised that I didn't have to leave the hotel for anything.

This was my third time staying at this hotel. It's near everything that makes Carlsbad a fun place to be (Beaches, the Flower Fields, shopping, & Legoland!). We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this hotel, the staff were all very friendly, helpful and courteous. A quiet location, rooms were very clean, spacious and affordable. Check in and out was great. Rooms were nicely redone and clean. Staff were nice an help full. Breakfast was nice and hot. Legoland is close by and so was the local grocery story to stock up on sacks...overall great hotel and my choose for the next trip to Legoland.

Overall the hotel was nice and as expected. Except.... for the mattress that was like a hammock. This thing should have been replaced at least a year before I got there. The phone on the desk was broken (not that big a deal since I only use it to call the desk and there are two phones in the room) and the cat 5 cable for the internet was broken as well […] (the fastener clip was broken), though I managed to work with it. That aside, the hotel was nice, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would have moved rooms if I was staying more than one night. The staff was excellent. Very friendly. The room we stayed in on the 2nd floor was brand new. The hotel had just remodeled and the 2nd floor was only a couple weeks old. What we didn't know when we pulled in to the hotel was that the first floor was under construction. A minor inconvenience. That's why I rated the condition of the hotel a 3. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels- as someone who travels frequently for work and for pleasure I have come to really appreciate the Marriott brand. What I appreciated most about this stay was the courteous, prompt and professional attitude of every single employee who I encountered. I arrived late at night and realized I forgot my toothbrush. I called […] the front desk within 2 minutes I heard a knock at my door and my dental kit was being delivered. Everyone at this hotel smiled, greeted me and made a point to ask me how I was enjoying my stay. This is better service than I have experienced while staying at 5 star, $500 per night hotels! For the price, this is a pretty good hotel. They were doing renovations, but there weren't any obvious issues. The reception desk is very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the set-up of the room, which actually had a small couch and coffee table in the room because that's what I like to sit on to watch television, not the bed. I did hear some slight noise […] from the neighbors, but that could be just them being noisy people. Overall, I would recommend this place as far as convenience and value. I would stay there again. The lobby of this hotel is really amazing. Everything is new and modern. Then you get to your room and I thought the elevator was a time machine and I went back in time 20 years.

We did like the stay, but the hotel is a bit far from the restaurants. If you need to sleep over and go on to Legoland, this is for you.

I was a bit disapointed, when I first arrived I was told the computer system was down and they were unable to give me a room because of it. I said my reservation was already made but that didnt seem to matter. I was a little stressed for it was a romatic night celebration. One other front desk gal was kind enough to go behind the scene and get me a […] room so I felt better then. When I woke up in the morning I was shocked to see that we had slept on a sheet that clearly had reminents of mold on it. I felt icky after that. I probably will never stay at this hotel again. TThis hotel was wonderful. I had my 2 month old daughter and we were so comfortable. The pack and plays were great. The food was delicious. And even though they aren't open for lunch, they have a fridge stocked with items you can buy. Much better than trying to get out and find something. Would definitely stay there again.

My stay was wonderful, only thing I didn't like is there is no room service - you have to pick up your own food at the bar (and all the food is frozen nothing is served fresh). But the potato soup was very nice and the burger was really well done also. Very Friendly staff, Pool was nice and everything was clean. WIll Come back soon!

Very nice hotel, Very Clean and Modern. But why can they not insure the ice machines work and if not give the guest a clue as to which floor we need to go to. Both 1st and 2nd floor ice machines did not work for the 3 days we were there.

We have a young baby (4 months old), and we had been driving all night. When we got there at 7am in the morning, they were warm, welcoming, and very helpful getting us checked in early. They brought a fridge up to our room for the baby's milk. We couldn't have been happier with the whole experience at the hotel!

Ok for sleep and go. Nothing in walking distance so you should plan any meals in advance. Probably would not stay more than 1-2 nights max.

I would have given this hotel a higher rating, but the room noise was so loud! It sounded like a herd of elephants above us. Also, a little mislead to think that the newspaper would be delivered to the room in the morning. It is only delivered if you ask for this service when you make your reservation. Communication wasn't clear. Hotels.com stated hotel had complimentary breakfast when in fact it didn't. This caused some discomfort in the am while this was resolved. Hotel staff were accommodating after some discussion. Our bed sheets were dirty and we had to request they be changed. We booked for 4 and only enough toiletries for 2 were provided.
