Hotell Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port - Ellesmere Port

I am currently staying at the Express at Albert Docks and after checking in I was seriously considering changing my booking back to Ellesmere Port Holiday Inn. Why? Well, the car park is outside the door and free, the gym is part of the complex and included with the room hire, the food is pleasantly surprising and the service excellent at Ellesmere […] Port. I am still at Bromborough this week and the hassle of the city roads and tunnel is a nightmare on a morning compared to the convenience of Ellesmere Port!! Another big Plus is the proximity of 'Jabula' which is a great restaurant next door!! I am staying at Ellesmere Port again next week and am quite looking forward to it even though I am getting used to Albert Docks. (i wanted a variety during my 3 week contract spell) Läs mer

Lovely hotel stayed over xmas holidays with Family! Beds are a little hard though! Look forward to going there next year

Lovely hotel in an excellent setting. Staff very friendly and helpful

I recently stayed here with my family due to the location of the hotel to the zoo etc. The hotel isn't family friendly and when booking a family room you don't expect to have to climb over the beds to get around the room which was tiny. We were offered a cot but honestly don't know where it would have gone. There were 2 weddings on when we stayed and […] the hotel couldn't cater for anyone else. There was no room to eat in the bar because the tables had beeen reserved but when i had asked to reserve table earlier i was told reservations weren't taken for the bar area. Shockingly when i complained a member of staff cleared a space so we could eat from a coffee table , obviously i declined this offer. The hotel was clean and tidy but i would personally pay more and stay somewhere else. Läs mer

we wanted something quiet outside of the busy town and this place was perfect. the hotel and surroundings where beautiful. staff were so friendly and helpfull they couldnt have made us feel more welcome. Food was good sercive was excellent. i do suggest they get in a bigger range of beer as there wasnt many. and the wallpaper in the hallways could do […] with re-papering. but our room was perfect very clean! oh and the swimming pool was lovely. The ports are always nice and this hotel fully uses the location potential.

We found this hotel suited our needs perfectly for our one night recent stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel was easy to find and well located near to the motorway. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and for breakfast, found dinner menu a little limited but the food we ordered was lovely. Good selection next morning at the breakfast […] buffet, restaurant staff extrememly helpful. Only down side to the hotel was the car park beside the hotel is small and overflow car park is a little dark and slightly remote and doesn't seem very secure. The hotel is in very peaceful surroundings, it looks like a warehouse conversion type building, but modern & situated on a cannal and a couple of lochs, there's a little bridge to drive across. Parking is available directly outside the hotel & across the little bridge. Although, the weekend we were there, there was a wedding party and parking was becomming […] limited. There's also a swimming pool & fitness centre & it's close to the motorway but not noisy. Rooms were clean, very similar to premier inns etc, in the restaurant the kids eat free, pretty good kids menu, just as well as the main courses for adults start at around £15 - £16, bar was a bit pricey but that goes with hotel territory. My advice would be if you like pub grub or less fancy food, there are plenty of Brewers Faye's, Bella Italia, Chiquito's, Frankie & Bennie's, McDonalds, KFC, Chinese etc. do your research before you travel and obtain contact details for these places. You're close to Chester, well worth a look on the open top buses, Beeston Castle (a ruin but good for a scenic walk about), Chester Zoo & Wales. Läs mer

Hotel very nice, clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Situated right next door to the Waterway Museum, and close to Cheshire Oaks outlet village(5 min drive) easy to find. Some might say not the nicest of outlooks but dining room over looks the museum.

Arrived late afternoon on Saturday after a dance practice, with few hours to clean and change before the ball in the evening. Service at check-in was rapid and room was superb.

Lovely hotel in a lovely setting. We had a family room for 2 adults and 2 children. With the sofa bed down there wasn't a great deal of room but we don't expect a great deal of room when there's four of you. Breakfast was very good too. Would recommend for using as a base for shopping at Cheshire Oaks.

It was great for what we wanted, good size family room, convenient location for Cheshire Oaks and Chester Zoo and the pool went down a treat with the kids

Big quality rooms at affordable prices. Double bed and pull out sofa, ideal for families.

A lovely clean hotel a couple of minutes from the motorway. We had booked a special meal at the lovely Jabula Restaurant (walking distance) so needed a place to stay for the night. Hotel was nicely furnished, the room was fine for an overnight stay with all the usual ammenities. Bar area was lovely with friendly staff who gladly provided an ice buckett […] to take to the room. We are staying there again in December with family and friends when we return to the African restaurant Jabula for a 21st celebration. Läs mer

Very conveniently situated for our needs. Quiet location next to the Boat Museum. We had a room with two double beds which suited our needs (three adults and one child). With the two beds there was not a lot of room to move around but fine for one night and very clean.

I would highly recommend this hotel, the service was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Located on the Manchester Ship Canal just by the Boat Museum it is the ideal place for a relaxing weekend.

Hotel good. Staff very polite and helpful. Buffet breakfast the highlight. Only complaint was the evening meal in the restaurant. Had to wait 50 mins for main course and only ordered steak. When it eventually arrived it came with half a portion of chips, a mushroom and a tomato. For me it was very poor value for money at £16.95 and who's idea was it […] to accompany it with HALF A PORTION OF CHIPS. Extremely dissapointing. When the bill arrived it was nearly twice as much as it should have been because it included the previous diners meal who he had refused to pay because of the terrible service he had received so that says it all !!! The staff and facilities were excellent and within beautiful surroundings. Probably the best hotel experience I have had in a number of years. My only critisism would be the insecurity of the overflow car-park, and would suggest an improvement to the CCTV system.
