Negatives were the bedrooms were a bit small & the spa facilities were less than adequate. They were a basic leisure centre In d grounds of the hotel not directly attached to the hotel

Overall had a lovely stay here - the room was very warm for the first night but some minor alterations to the radiator settings and keeping a window open sorted that problem out. Room (and bed!) a little small for the price but more than made up for by lounge/bar areas and general feel of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and service was always polite […] and courteous. Pool/sauna/steam room were more than adequate. Would recommend highly - as I would the Indian restaurant on the roundabout just before the hotel and the Tappit Hen pub for a drink in the town! We spent 2 nights at the hotels and all the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We ate in the lounge bar on the first night and in the restaurant the second night and on both nights the food was wonderful. We would certainly stay here again and would have no problem recommending the hotel to other people.

Great location, impressive front door and surrounding area. Late check in not very convenient. acceptable but overpriced restaurant. small rooms and bath rooms. Probably the best hotel in the area.Friendly staff. Jacques , Canada

This was my second stay at the Dunblane hydro and although the service and general feel of the hotel is good, both times I have been let down by the cleanliness and finishing touches in the hotel. I stayed in the same standard guest room on both visits. On both occasions the room has not been very clean - this time I found hairs in my bed and the bathroom […] was shabby - the extractor fan being caked with dust (no change since my last stay). These in themselves are not major issues but with Hilton you do expect more. How hard is it for the cleaners to check that these things have been done? When I arrived at 4pm there was a used breakfast tray in the corridor outside my room with old food on it and another tray and champagne bucket on the stair landing. These remained there the rest of the day. Again I am surprised such basic things were not picked up by hotel staff doing an occasional check of the corridors. Again not major things but does not present a very professional service from what is supposed to be a premium hotel. I was very impressed with the staff though. Very friendly and professional. That makes a big difference when the overall hotel experience is a bit disappointing. I would think about an alternative place to stay in future due to the relative high cost of a room. Läs mer

very good hotel only problem was no provision within the bar menu for young children - nothing that our 3year old grandson would want to eat.

An excellent hotel situated in fabulous surroundings. The perfect place to get away from it all, while only 1/2 hour-1 hour away to Glasgow/Edinburgh/Stirling. fantastic amenities and quality food make it the ideal weekend get away from it all. Very friendly staff ensure your stay is all it should be.

the hotel has been nicely refurbished in recent years and the staff well trained. I enjoyed my stay, a little less the food

This was a repeat stay as we had stayed just overnight last year in the Windsor Suite. This time we stayed four nights but unfortunately we were in one of the attic rooms (Room 4xx). We stayed during an unseasonably warm spell in April. The room was verging on a sauna throughout the stay. There is no A/C. There is a tilt window that can only be opened […] 2" -and then only if you can block it with something to keep it open that far. A very effective fan was provided - but fans only recirculate the warm air. Based on our experiences we would strongly recommend trying to get in the newer part of the hotel (Windsor Suite) in warm weather - not as pretty building but rooms are a good size and will not roast you in Summer. That said, we have only praise for other aspects of the hotel. The staff were friendly, efficient and very helpful. We had a special meal in the Kailyard Restaurant - not cheap, but excellent meal. We also tried the bar meals. These too were excellent as well as substantially cheaper than eating in the Kailyard. Läs mer

The staff on the desk were very helpful and friendly - despite our cheap room rate, when I asked if we could have a room with a view, we were swapped from the room originally allocated to us and given one on the main building. The room was a good size with a big bathroom - both had great views. I was a bit disappointed not to receive the fabled Doubletree […] cookie! Our room was next to the lift but this did not disturb us at all. The hotel was busy with lots of kids about but the rooms must be well insulated as we were not disturbed. We had dinner and breakfast in the Kailyard restaurant which cost us as much again as we had paid for the room - oops. Not sure it was *really* worth it although it is a pleasant atmosphere and the food was good. We used the "spa" - slightly disappointing changing areas (felt a bit dated and grubby) and the pool was quite busy with excited kids so it wasn't a serene experience but is a nice airy building. All in all a great stay - the room itself was luxurious and great value for money. Läs mer

A massive Victorian Hydro hotel, which has been skilfully updated to meet modern standards, although I would have preferred a somewhat lighter colour scheme. Our room was very comfortable, although with no view out (probably because we were on a very cheap tariff) and was well appointed. Found a false eyelash in the bathroom, but otherwise very clean. Restaurant […] provision was disappointing as very fancy and expensive restaurant only had space at 6.00 or 9.00 and only had one vegetarian choice so ate out elsewhere instead, although bar meals available. Note: there is a large car park behind the hotel, which is not immediately obvious which is more convenient than parking in the front as there is another hotel entrance immediately off it. Läs mer

A modernised and extended Victorian hotel. our room (in the older part) was small with very little space for storage. Also very warm with no means of cooling. Restaurant quality OK but pricey. We went for a wedding and at the dinner after organisation of service was poor - e.g no coffee served, wine glasses empty for toasts, but wine served later. Beautiful hotel with friendly staff in a very p[leasant part of Scotland. Breakfast & dinner in the Kailyard were of a very high standard. Facilities(spa & gym) were rather dated & on the small side but perfectly adequate. Surrounding area excellent for walking $ golf.Stirling is close bt & Edinburgh & Glasgow about an hours drive

The bed and the bed room felt a little on the small side, but the bathroom was very spacious. Very nice building and surroundings. Staff very polite and helpful.

Schönes Double-Tree by Hilton Hotel in auf einem parkähnlichen Grundstück, sehr komfortable Zimmer / Betten, schönes Restaurant mit gemessen an der Hotelkategorie fairen Preisen. In unserem Zimmer im Neubau war es zum Schlafen eher zu warm, die Fenster liessen sich nicht öffnen, und eine Klimaanlage gab es auch nicht. Die Benutzung eines Computers, […] um die eigenen e-mails zu checken, ist kostenpflichtig. Dennoch: ein tolles Hotel<- von mir eine klare Empfehlung für dieses Hotel. Läs mer

chambres double: très petites avec lits de 140cms seulement ce qui n'ai pas acceptable pour un 4* connection Wifi facturée 15 € au check in , proposé un journal au réveil...mais facturé 80cts !
