Hotell Waikiki Gateway Hotel - Honolulu

Med tanke på priset tycker vi att hotellet på det hela taget var bra. Ligger på "Paradgatan" som efter 10-15 minuters promenad leder ner till Waikiki Beach. Något störande trafik. Fanns luftkonditionering på rummet - dock högljudd. Då WiFi på rummet var något man fick betala extra borde täckningen varit bättre. Bröts ofta. Åt av hotellets frukost en […] gång och vi tyckte inte den var prisvärd. Hjälpsam personal i receptionen, blev dock felinformerad om vissa av hotellets tilläggsavgiter för parkering och senare utcheckning. Redde dock ut sig i slutändan. Kan tänka oss att bo där igen. Waikiki Gateway är ett prisvärt hotell med bra läge! Nära till både Waikiki beach o till shoppingstråk. Hotellet är lite slitet o inte superfräscht men det uppvägs av den trevliga o hjälpsamma personalen o det fina läget! Med ett rum med Oceanview har du kanonfin utsikt! Skulle absolut kunna tänka mig att komma tillbaka!

OTHER THAN THE TREMENDOUS INCONVENIENCES , WITHOUT ANY APOLOGY FROM THE HOTEL'S STAFF/MANAGER, REGARDING THE FIRE EMERGENCY AND ITS AFTERMATH (DESCENDED AND ASCENDED 12 FLOORS 3X DURING THE DAY, JUNE 8, BEFORE 1 ELEVATOR WAS OPERATIONAL) MY STAY WAS OK. HOUSEKEEPERS WERE GREAT, VERY FRIENDLY. NOT SO THE FRONT DESK.

If it had not been for the water pipe break at 4 am, which activated the fire alarm and sent the entire hotel into the streets, it would have been a perfect place..close to the best Honolulu stores and close to the beach . The management was terrific. Just a sad incident.

this hotel is old and it shows it everywhere. the lobby is ok but the corridors and rooms are outdated, in need of renovations and just plain old. the air conditioning in our room did not work that well and the bathroom was so small and everything in it was so ancient. the room was clean. the hotel is quiet which is a plus. the ice and soda room looked […] dirty and needed a coat of paint and some serious cleaning. the hotel is inexpensive and i guess you get what you pay for. not a hotel i would stay in again. location is good--right at entrance to Waikiki area and the service is OK. 25 bucks for parking is outrageous but there is no other place to park. entrance to hotel is a bit tricky as you really have to park your car and then check in. It's a worst experience we ever had,from the customer service ,the little lanai really dirty,the room is outdated and the worst they charge u for ur local phone call to call for taxi.

The hotels.com site advertised the price as including breakfast, but the hotel was not in agreement. Overall the condition of the hotel was so poor, it didn't seem safe to eat food prepared there, so in the end it worked out great. This was because the location was an easy vantage point for walking to dozens of restaurants.

Relatively not bad, but it would be better if they serve free trolly pass for transportation around Waikiki. It is required to keep clean the airconditioner.

This is a motel with a nice lobby. The rooms are extremely dated and slightly skeevy (rugs, bathroom,etc). Breakfast costs $10 (not worth it). I stayed here during a 16 hour layover on my way to Asia, and this is the only reason I'd ever recommend staying here. It's a $35 cab ride to/from the airport. Our only complaint is there was a very rude front desk manager who's negative and sassy attitude almost had us cancel our reservation she was so unpleasant.

Great location for shopping, bars, and restaurants. Room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. AC kept the room nice and cold. Got this room to avoid drink driving. I would stay here again. In fact, I stayed an extra night.

Staff was professional and very helpful. After reading some reviews online I had no high expectations but I was totally surprised by everyone that I came in contact with. The hotel was clean, location was great and the service I can't say enough good things about.

This is my second visit to this hotel, It was a very comfortable stay, the rooms are large, and the staff are very helpful. The location is very handy, and there is a bus stop right out the front of the hotel which takes you to the shopping centre. I would reccomend to stay here, it's very afforable for a comfortable stay.

Everything was great here. I especially liked the balcony view we had. The room was very clean and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The television in our room was a little dated, but since we didn't go on vacation to watch television it didn't matter too much. I liked it. I didn't expect a lot but slept well in the big rooms. We had two beds with two different mattresses so we chose the one that was more comfortable. Valet parking was 23$ a day by professional staff. The room is outdated but who cares. We asked for an ocean view and were able to see the fireworks on Friday night. The bathroom was small but […] clean with good water pressure and temp control. The restaurant downstairs is a sports bar so we didn't eat there. Wifi is extra. The hotel was a little older but decent for the price. It was at a major intersection so there was some traffic noise. Having a sports bar in the hotel was a plus. Close to the beach and we had a good view.

Not a happy experience. Was put in a room with one bed for three people. Their solution was to down grade us. Upon complaining yet again their attitude was check out and we were only disapointed because we had seen the double balcony with the views we had booked. I ave to admit, I was a bit surprised at how nice it looked. Clean, easy on the eyes (calm colors through out hotel. Very nice and very helpful staff. I would definitely stay at the Waikiki Gateway Hotel again. Great location as well. Thank You!

The room isn't really great, but its comfortable and is a good place to lay your head. The security was very helpful with bags and directions. Everyone was really pleasant. We stayed in a resort in Maui prior coming to Oahu, so I had high expectations. Its affordable and close to most things walking distances of a few minutes.

The hotel in a Convient location. The shuttle pick up from the hotel which is great. The cleanliness is poor. The furniture is old the Decore have covers on it. They don't serve complimentary breakfast, food not worth the price.

The room is very clean but has this 60's old look; the carpet is brown, the faucets are worn, the beds have thin cheap blankets instead of bedspreads. again, it is very clean. I left my eye cover in the hotel room, called 2 days later, never got it back.

The cost of the Hotel did not reflect the condition or cleanliness. I wore my shoes in the room so i did not have to touch the carpet. The location and staff were ok, but the pool was a joke. I did find the buisness center useful.
