Tyckte det var riktigt bra. Fint område med goda förbindelser. Tio minuter promenad och tio minuter tunnelbana så är man på 42:à gatan

Mycket nöjd. Snygg inredning och rent. Inga vägglöss :-) Väldigt bra och trevligt läge nära tunnelbanestationer och någon minuts promenad till central park. Mycket sköna sängar och kuddar. Personalen var mycket glad och hjälpsam och gav oss gärna tips och information om stan vid fråga. Vi förstod oss först inte på varmvattnet, men det visade sig att det måste saknas cirkulation i ledningarna så vi fick spola ett tag - sedan kom värmen.

Trevlig personal och en trivsam lobby. Läget intill SoHo perfekt. Bekväma rum och fin städning. Underbar NY-känsla direkt utanför hotellet. trevligt med anslutande bar i samma byggnad. Skulle gärna återvända till detta hotell.

Allt var bra med hotellet utom att vi bokat ett rum med extra säng via Hotels.com men när vi kom fram fick vi veta att det inte finns på hotellet och att Hotels.com inte har rätt att sälja det via sin site. Som tur var och efter mycket argumentation från vårt håll kunde hotellet till slut erbjuda oss ett annat rum där vi fick plats, men det var inte […] en bra start på resan. Läs mer

Stayed on the 15th floor and the hallway carpet was stained throughout the floor. The door in my bathroom was broken and a few of the towels were stained. Highly disappointed in the W Union Square - by far the worst W hotel I have stayed.

Lovely hotel in many ways. Staff not only very service minded, but also gives you the little extra. The decoration of the room classy and comfortable. Rented a room for 3 for a night out in the city... specifically asked Hotels.com to note that a foldaway cot was needed. When checking in, we were told by hotel employees at front desk that the room we had booked was too small for a foldaway and it would be against the law to place one in there. We then stated why did they give us the room when we asked […] specifically for a foldaway cot??? The guy at the desk kept saying we booked through a 3rd party so it wasn't there fault.... Really??? Way to treat customers... The manager eventually came out and was able to find a room large enough to fit the cot but the view was a cement wall. Läs mer

We had an issue getting into our room - frustrating but once the manager got involved they handled it well. The hotel is good mostly because of the location - can't beat union square.

Great in many aspects, and comfy beds! Wouldn't have paid full rate out of hotels.com, considering some lacks in carpet look! Changing of rug is not a caprice in that case... Heart of the Manhattan action on foot. Nice bathroom Bliss stuff. Expensive WI-FI.

We thoroughly enjoyed New York by staying at the Union Sq W. I will definitely stay here again. The price was a great deal for the location. Very close to Union Sq park where a key subway is located for east access to the entire city. Walking distance to many hot spots for clubs and bars and restaurants. Loved it! I have stayed at many W's the staff at this hotel acted like our prescence was a complete annoyance to them. There are so many places to stay in NYC, places were they are not rude. I lived in NYC for 15 years. There are many kind helpful people in the city but you are not going to find them here.

This was a great hotel. It was in a great neighborhood and the subway was nearby so it made it easy to get anywhere in the city. Rooms were a nice size for NYC and were comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

The staff are very nice but the hotel is lacking maintenance. The shower bathroom pipes made strange noises and the water was cold. The ipod dock also did not work. The staff are very nice and honest people though, I left my ipod and they were able to find it for me and keep it in their safe for me to pick up at my convenience.The reason why I would […] not recommend this place is because I am too old (28) for dim light, boutique-ish feeling hotels. "Bed bugs in hotel"
I stayed there for 3 days and after coming home, I had multiple bites on my leg which leads me to believe this hotel has bed bugs as I was wearing jeans every day of my trip. Everything else was great but having bug bites when you least expect it is why I wouldn't recommend staying here.

This is one of my favorite places to stay, both because I love the W, but also its location. My three chief complaints is 1) The shower head in my room was terrible. Not all of the nozzles worked and the ones that did, sprayed in all different directions. 2) There is no recycling bin for plastics and other recyclable items. I think this is something […] that should implemented. 3) Some sort of high buzzing noise, like an open emergency door sound or something, kept going off and seemed a consistent sound throughout my stay. Frankly I was dissappointed. Overall the the concept works. But one towel and bathrobe for 2 people, running out of soap, and hair under the sink, left us with less than happy moments. "Elegant hotel, fabulous location"
The hotel is well situated in Union Square near many wonderful restaurants. The hotel staff is helpful, friendly and made me feel very welcome though it would have been nice to have a doorman--I along with other guests struggled into the hotel with heavy bags on a busy Friday night. The common space, hallways are lovely. I loved the subdued, stylish […] decor of my room--especially the wonderfully large desk, high quality flat screen tv with DVD player, etc. The room service was worth the price---and came lightning speed with warm, friendly service and enormous portions of delicious food. My only complaint is that with the kind of money one pays to stay here the housekeeping (or 'styling' as they call it) should be much more on top of things. My room was barely cleaned---dust balls in several places on the carpet, sticky food remains on the desk, and it was generally very dusty. The beautiful bed spread needs to be replaced as well. It wouldn't have hurt if they would offer turn down service. Other than the housekeeping issues, I had a lovely stay and would try them again if I was assured of a very clean room. Läs mer

We had only two days in NYC for the opening of the new Beechers Handmade Cheese restaraunt on 20th and Broadway. The W was located within three blocks and centrally located for everything else. The subway access at Union Square was perfect!
"Was good 10 years ago"
W Hotel Union Square was a cool & hip hotel 10 years ago but act like they still are. Staff was unfriendly, standard of the hotel shabby for what you pay and very suspicious when they didn't find the reservation at first. And what's up with the bodyguards outside, not the mot welcoming guys. To the staff at W Hotel: Service is all - not attitude.
We just spent one night in the city - this hotel provided superb accomodations in a convienent location for us. I would recommend any of the NY W hotels.

Great hotel and the location was good. Only drawback the double glazing isn't great and so if you are a light sleeper probably not the best place to stay. Close to the subway. Eat at the restaurant Olives - the food was very good. Staff really helpful and welcoming.

Why beyond the blue... it was like heaven. I was welcome in a most friendly manner, given a better room, checked in immediately, room was comfortable and clean...
