Very friendly exklusive hotel, fun for kids. Stupid and outdated that it has no fre wi-fi, you have to pay an extra $ 14.95 for it!

We stayed here for two weeks. We fell in love with the area and the staff was so kind. A park close to the hotel where you can work out, lay in the sun or just walk around. Plenty of shopping can be made because there is a nice outdoor "mall" (The Grove) close to the hotel. A beutiful place. I recommend this hotel.

Överraskade positivt. Bra service. Vandrarhemsstamdard men ligger i ett helt OK område. WiFi fungerade dåligt. Bra med gratis parkering.

We travel a lot, especially to LA, and we are always looking for hotels that provide kitchens/kitchenettes because of my daughter's special food requirements. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of this hotel. Shuttle service was great and staff was very helpful and accommodating. although area was a little sketchy, I did not feel unsafe. The room was clean and well appointed. Parking and internet was free, although I was in a part of the hotel that didn't have great wireless connectivity. Beautiful suite with a full kitchen, huge bathroom, good sized bathroom, and spacious living room. Has a convenient office/dining area which would be fantastic for business travel. Towels were very soft. It's clear that corners are not cut this this hotel. We got a rolling crib for our baby, which worked well. It would have been a lot better for us […] if the crib was in the room when we got there, as requested, instead of having to ask again at the desk at the late hour of our arrival. "Excellent for the price"
I'm removing one star from the overall rating based on two half star issues. First, the wireless is spotty. Where we were, room 100, there were no wireless access points within range. I'm only removing a half star for this because they do have a wired network drop in the room so getting online was still easy. The other half star is for the workout room. […] The equipment is functional, but that's about it. But hey - not everyone wants to use a workout room, so I'll just remove a half star for that, as well. The room was fantastic. Very nice interior, excellent kitchen, comfortable bed, good size closet. If you're staying for a week like we were, it's ideal. The location is convenient to the airport, as well as points south such as Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, and South Bay. Also pretty quick to Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, Culver City. Anywhere north or east of those locations expect a drive. The surrounding neighborhood is ... ok. Really not much to do in the immediate vicinity. Going south into Hawthorne proper and South Bay it's fine, as well as Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach. The area immediately north of the freeway, Inglewood, is not an ideal place to be at night. Very high crime. But the area immediately around the hotel seems safe enough, we walked to the Ralph's for groceries and to a couple of the nearby eateries. "Extended our stay"
We had spent a week with family from Australia, unfortunately we got struck down with the American Flu!! So we extended our stay for a couple of days. We had no complaints at all with Candlewood Inns and would recommend them to anyone wanting, value for money, cleanliness, friendly staff and closeness to all facilities. "convenient"
We had family leaving on an over seas trip at midnight. Therefore, we were all in the hotel room that evening--4 adults and 2 small children. There was plenty of room for us, them and all their luggage. The shuttle was so convenient. My son had to go out to a grocery store for baby items after dark. "i move from sheraton gateway to this lovely place"
Before i stay at this hotel, my wife and i spent 2 night at Sheraton Gateway but we didnt regret this decision. If you want to spend your time with your family in LAX area than all you need to do just go to this place. "AMAZING HOTEL -- MINUS THE LOCATION"
Based on reviews of hotels in the area, it seemed like the place was a real dump; that was far from reality. Candlewood Suites was amazing. The staff was VERY friendly and accomodating. There is free printing; free shuttle service to airport; a very affordable snack shop (sodas for 50 cents! I haven't seen that since 1999); and the rooms are FANTASTIC.The […] bed was clean and comfortable; the room, overall, was clean, really. Just a wonderful experience. We faced the main street (no noise) and it seems like there is some construction right below our room window; but because we were staying there over the weekend, they weren't working--just make a request for a back window if you are staying during the week. My one and only complaint is the area. You aren't in the middle of a bad neighborhood; it's just lonely and there is absolutely nothing to do. You should probably rent a car if you are staying there. We chose to ride public transportation and had to go through pretty sketchy neighborhoods to get from Downtown LA/Holly back to the hotel at night. Not to mention that the ride was about an hour and 20 minutes long one way on BUS (not metro). There are bus stops less than 2 blocks away and a metro stop about 4 stops away; but that metro stop doesn't take you to Hollywood. As far as the hotel is concerned, I have ZERO complaints. "Surprisingly comfortable airport hotel"
We booked our stay here in the 5 minutes before boarding our flight to LA, as we were traveling unexpectedly at the last minute. Our flight arrived well after midnight, so we were pleased to find the hotel front desk staffed round the clock by very friendly people who were waiting for us to check in. Our room was larger than expected, and included a […] full kitchen, spacious bathroom, flat-screen TV, and free wifi. There's also a "pantry" near the front desk (sort of a self-serve convenience store) with frozen meals, beverages, snacks, travel necessities, etc. We made good use of the pantry, as we were too tired to drive anywhere for food. We didn't see much of the surrounding neighborhood, but were informed that there's a grocery store nearby. There's also a McDonald's right across the street, and the Holiday Inn Express LAX shares a courtyard with Candlewood. Covered parking is right next door, and the gate code was included with the wifi info when we checked in (no extra fee). We also saw a covered patio area with picnic tables outside, as well as a BBQ; it seemed nice, and there were people using the space. Thanks to our prepaid online booking, check-out took all of 2 minutes (maybe less), and we were on our way to the airport in record time. Hotel very well maintained. Staff was very helpful. The only thing is that they brought us a roll bed which mattress wasn't so good.. "Suite 118 Excessive noise due to elevator."
Suite 118 is located next to or behind the hotel elevator. It is in service 24 hours a day and unfortunately at all hours of the night. Trust me, you won't be able to get a good night sleep in this room as the elevator motors is very noisy.Verifierad gästrecension

Beautiful accommodation-"like a condo"; however, Sofabed was only a twin size--did not think they made twin size in a sofabed, and I felt all the springs and wires through the thin mattress. No breakfast, (some croissants were placed in their snacks for purchase room by the free coffee on 1 of the 3 days we were there). Camera's in every section of the hotel probably because of their strict no smoking policy and to help those staying for the extended stay. It felt like you were being watched even in the elevators and room hallways. Yes, […] it is connected to the Holiday Inn and share a gated parking garage, secure with cameras and code to get in. However, I don't know how secure it actually was when I asked one of the hotel workers when I forgot the password what it was and they gave me the number straight away. Like the number never changed. The room was cozy, however it didn't have the blackout drapes and the room was facing the front. So like a night light on drugs, it was rather bright in the room with all the lights off. In fact I had to stand over in a corner or sometimes change in the bathroom because I made the mistake of changing in the room as I made contact with passerby's walking into the other hotel in front. However the room we had was very noisy- we heard every person on the halls, in the laundry room, all the check in and check outs at 5 am. When we suggested to the front desk that perhaps they shouldn't put guests in the rooms that are right off they lobby, they […] advised us that they have several rooms that they try not to use because guests have complained of the noise. We were very impressed with the comfortable, clean and spacious room. However, we were travelling with 2 very small dogs and I was shocked to hear the desk clerk request $75 for each dog! After staying in a number of hotels where the rate was between $10 and $20 for pets it was a surprise.The total for the dogs was way more than the cost of the room. "Good for Short Stays"
This is a perfectly fine hotel in a not-so-great area. In fact, it's in a horrible area. I grew up in LA and needed a hotel for just a quick overnight stay - for that, this hotel is perfect since I know the streets and what to avoid and it was a very short stay (one night). If I was a tourist coming for an extended period, I would NOT recommend this […] hotel. Having said that, the hotel is very well-lit, so are the immediate streets and the parking lot across the street. So they have taken steps to help people feel better about the hotel but that still leaves you in a horrible area for sightseeing and eating out and things like that. The staff was nice, the hotel rooms are big and clean and I otherwise enjoyed my stay.
