Hotell Jamaica Bay Inn - Marina del Rey

Riktigt trevligt boende, bokade ett rum utan strandutsikt men blev uppgraderade till det. Helt klockrent, så här ska man bo... Rymligt rum, fantastisk vy över stranden och marinan. Enda lilla nackdelen var att det bara fanns en fotölj att sitta i, ställ dit en soffa ( plats finns ) och rummet är perfekt. Vi rest runt i 3 veckor i Kalifornien och detta hotell hör till favoriterna. Vi har bott på hotell med ungefär samma standard hela tiden men Jamaica Bay Inn gav bäst värde för pengarna.

Snyggt, fräscht nyrenoverat hotell med trevlig personal och fina lyxiga rum. Läget.... nja... har du barn. då bra... ligger bredvid Mothers beach....mammorna är där med småbarn då det inte är några vågor. En marina emella. ( dock inte speciellt rent vatten....) kanske 1 km till själva Venice Beach

Fint hotell, dock så hade det underlättat väldigt mycket om man hade bil under vistelsen.

Det här hotellet har ett perfekt läge, trevligt pool- och strandområde och fräscha rum. Det är dessutom lätt att parkera bilen och inte speciellt dyrt heller, 14 dollar/dag.

Ett mycket trevligt och fint hotel nära stranden. 5 min walk den till standen där man kan gå hela vägen till Santa Monica. Mycket trevlig personal.

Härligt rum med underbara sängar, fint badrum och morgonrockar.

Bra hotell men stora moderna rum. Perfekt för en familj att dela på ett rum. Fint poolområde. Kanonläge när du skall göra saker kring LA då allt är nära att ta sig till. Gångavstånd till stranden och Venice beach.

Mycket bra hotell. Du finner alla bekvämligheter och det är väldigt bra service. Marina Del Rey är ett lugnt område en liten bit ifrån Venice och Santa monica.

Front desk person was very accommodating. Lobby area windows looked out to an ocean view. Rooms were clean but very small. Very nice location on the beach. After driving all day, we arrived after dinner and were just looking for a pizzeria for something quick. We were surprised to find that every restaurant we called was closed by 9! We called Room […] service and they took very good care of us even though we called right before they closed. Läs mer

Great place to stay, clean, welcoming and affordable parking lot ($14 per night). Close to Venice Beach but a little far from the fun (long walk to muscle beach, a few miles from Santa Monica). Driving is required for entertainment beside the beach.

Comfy rooms, great restaurant, accommodating staff

Room was clean, beds were really comfortable and restaurant food was good. Only complaints were weird sliding door outside bathroom and shower drain seemed clogged.

View - make sure you ask for a Marina view. The "city" view is really a view of the hotel across the street. If you only get the "city" side, ask for a room on the fourth floor, which was nice. Pool - the pool is nice. Please do a better job cleaning it. It wasn't horrible but it could be better. Overall - a good value hotel with clean new rooms nicely […] situated re: beach / city / airport. Just know it's not in the middle of the city. It's in more of a beach community type of neighborhood. I would recomend jamaica bay as a very good experience with a great view of marina and very nice rooms and it is also in close walking to vince beach (10 min ). overall rating is great.

Stayed in Jamaica in for three days. The location is ok. It is right next to a small sand beach and it is a 10-15 minutes drive to Venice-Santa Monica. The staff is very friendly and very concerned that we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are big and very clean. Good points: mint condition, good location, free wifi, plenty of parking. Bad points: 1) Parking - They charge you a unreasonably high fee to leave your car in the "self parking" lot. Facing the hotel from the street, this lot is to the far right. They trick you into registering your car by placing a note on your windshield stating that "unregistered […] cars will be charged the valet rates"....even though your car is in the "self parking" area. Once you register your car, the daily fee kicks in. The hotel parking lot is adjacent to the free parking lot at the public "Mother's Beach". I kicked myself when I realized I could have parked in the beach lot for free. It would have added only about 30 seconds to my walk to the hotel, and I could have saved a lot of money. 2) Extremely expensive room service: a bowl of oatmeal costs approximately 4x what it would at a normal restaurant. 3) Noisy near the elevator: I stayed on the 3rd floor, directly across from the elevator....and on a Friday night I was woken up every 10 minutes until around 3am by groups of loud drunks talking in the hall and clanging about in the adjacent vending machines. If they stick you near the elevator.....do whatever you can to change your room. 4) Traffic noise: The hotel advertises a "marina view" and a "city view" for the rooms. The "city view" is that of a busy street, two lanes in each direction. Last point -there is a bicycle rental shop, with reasonable rates, across the street at the Marina International Hotel. Läs mer

The room was modern and comfortable. The staff was very helpful when we checked in. We stayed 2 nights and our room did not get made up on the first day. I mentioned it to the front desk staff and we did get some clean towels and glasses brought to our room. I also mentioned the mishap to the front desk when I checked out and it was rectified by not […] charging for the parking fee. Ideal place to stay between two flights. Quiet. If you like Boats, there are plenty of them at Marina del Rey. Friendly staff at reception as well as doorman, valet and porter.

We stayed because of the proximity to both LAX and The Coast. Very nice rooms, clean and plush. I would have liked a few more dining options, but overall a great experience, with a friendly, efficient staff.

Jamaica Bay Inn is conveniently located to Venice Beach, LAX, and many restaurants. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is adjacent to the yacht club, making early morning or evening walks very pleasant. 20 minutes to LAX during noon hour. We would definitely stay there again.

Intial check in with Kenny was challenging but another new employee was able to accommodate my request and made my stay very enjoyable. The service and quality of the food was excellent, thank you Rob! Will stay again!

I was very satisfied with my stay here. I had a beautiful room with a balcony and view of the marina, which was very pleasant to wake up to. The only problem I encountered was booking through this website because the hotel couldn't find my reservation right away, but it was all taken care of by the manager and the staff was very friendly. Hotel is nice. Service is not top-quality. The front desk is nice but not very informed on dining options nor do they maintain a list of options in the immediate area. I believe that is fundamental to a hotel. The restaurant: food is decent but my waitress took my order and just forgot about me and went about her business. At the Marina, good views and an outstanding restaurant (Vu). Loved it.

The hotel is nice and the staff is very quick to make things right if the customer is displeased with anything, but I stayed here for 4 nights and the things that needed to be set right never seemed to end. 1. I arrived at 10:30pm after a x-country flight, and the 2 guys at the front desk apparently didn't have a city-view king room available to put […] me in. One concluded that they'd "upgrade" me to a 2-queen Marina view, but I needed the floor space, so that didn't work for me. It took 30 minutes to finally get me checked into what turned out to be a city-view king, which was what I booked in the first place. However, Mark was nice enough to offer me a free drink in the bar - which closed early! - while I waited for them to figure it out. 2. Valet parking is totally unnecessary as they have a huge parking lot, but they designate 60% of the lot either restaurant or valet to make it extremely inconvenient to self-park - and the valet rates are exorbitant. 3. My 2nd night there the fire alarm blared a false alarm at 4am. The hotel was evacuated and the staff neither directed people where to go nor explained what the situation was. They just stood at the desk and explained it was an accident; there was no fire, if you went up and asked them. The alarm was triggered again - falsely - 2 more times that night. 4. My bill after 2 nights contained a charge for bottled water from the minibar which I never had. They were quick to apologize and take it off when I complained, but I shouldn't have to complain about being phantom-charged. 5. My bill after 4 nights contained a charge for valet (22-bucks!) which I'd never used. Again, they were quick to fix the bill and apologize. 6. The hotel has only 1 elevator and it is one of the slowest elevators I've ever seen despite being built in 2010. Läs mer

I was here on business, but thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The service staff is excellent....very attentive. My only disappointment was that they had marina view rooms vacant and wouldn't move me without additional charges. This was an excellent Hotel . In very good condition , conveniently located near eateries , rooms very comfortable . I recommend the Marina view rooms - they have a balcony overlooking the Marina with views of the Planes landing at LAX . You cant go past the Hotels own Dining for a great night out with good food .
