I loved this hotel. Beautiful surroundings, lovely room and wonderful breakfast. My only problem was with the wifi which I could only connect to sporadically in the room. I don't think I would have stayed here at the full rate but for the reduced rate I would definitely stay here again.

We spent the final 2 nights of our South African vacation at the Vineyard Hotel. The grounds are STUNNING and the facility, beautiful. Very convienient location too. Great service with a special shout-out to Patrick at the bar....

Fantastic value and service plus 2 of the best restaurants you'll find in Cape Town (The Square & Myoga). Breakfast is legendary and teh hotel is on the door step of the Constantia Valley for wine tours, golf etc plus free shuttle to Waterfront which is only 15 minutes drive

This hotel is gorgeous! The staff is extremely friendly and professional, the extensive grounds are beautifully kept and the buildings are lovely. The free breakfast is above par.

Awesome from start to finish. The staff were friendly and professional. Meals were of a high standard and varied. Our room served our need of a warm and comfortable retreat from the days events. An evening on the the patio is a must especially when you having friends over for dinner or drinks.

We booked this hotel for the last 3 nights of our stay in South Africa to see my husbands family and school friends. It is a stunning location looking up to table mountain and the rooms are well appointed very clean and comfortable. We used The Square restaurant for dinner (get a table up on the mezzanine level for a wonderful view) and breakfast both […] of which were lovely. So all in all this is a really good hotel but what makes it a stunning hotel is the service. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left every member of staff from the reception team to the waiters to the cleaning staff and people round the pool were friendly, polite and welcoming. The fact that the reception staff remembered my nine year old by name and said good morning sarah every time we passed made her day. I would be loathed to recommend this hotel to everyone as I don't want it becoming too popular but we will be staying there at the end of every future holiday to South Africa. Läs mer

This hotel has virtually every facility you could wish for. However, it is a large hotel and it was rather crowded (we were there during peak holiday season) and always difficult to find a lounger around the swimming pool. There are several bars and good restaurants offering different menus, including terrace and poolside cafe. We stayed 6 nights but […] hardly saw the same people twice and it was very impersonal and difficult to socialise. Though crowded it was lonely and not really good value for money. A beautiful setting, great facilities and friendly, helpful staff. The Vineyard is unstuffy and relaxing as well as being good value for money. We were there for my husband's 50th and the staff did their utmost to make it special. We wouldn't now stay anywhere else in the Cape Town area.

The hotel is very comfortable and has supberb grounds and family staff. If you want a stay in Cape Town away from the downtown area but only about 15 minutes drive away, this is a great choice.

For those looking for a relaxing break, especially for those based in Africa, this is a convenient location to reach, excellent quality for value - although its a 4-star hotel, they treat you like a 5-star. Almost perfect. Excellent food and service. Smoke odor, spots on carpet, and occasionally slow internet are the only things I could be nit picky about. Everything else was splendid in every way. Just a fantastic deal in a gorgeous place with superb food.

An amazing hotel. We got a great deal on a short notice. Will probably stay there when we go again as Neulands is a fantastic area to stay while in cape town and is better than the waterfront. Staff had superb attention to detail and the restaurants were amazing.

Fantastic! beautiful hotel, great location, great staff. You need to hire a car to travel around Cape Town so not being in the centre of town is not a problem. In fact it's a much nicer area to stay in.

Take a quiet stroll around the huge pretty garden, eat breakfast outside on the terrace with views to the mountains. For the keep fit enthusiast a well equipped gym, plus a small indoor pool and larger outside pool. The best massage I have ever had in the spa. Great food. Surrounding area peaceful with good quality shops with in a short walk.

We have been holidaying at The Vineyard for the past ten years or so, and we meet many devotees who have done the same. You are treated as welcome family. The hotel has increased the number of rooms over the past three years and it has put a strain on the public areas, particularly the lounge bar and stoop, though this is probably only noticeable to […] those of us who are old timers. Fabulous location in an upscale neighborhood, so walking in the area is safe. View from the garden and pool of Table Mountain are breath-taking. The hotel feels old fashioned, but with very good service. Only down sides are lack of evening entertainment, it is very quiet, even in the bar. Also the air conditionng in the rooms could be improved.

Stayed here for one week from Nov 24th to Dec 1st and can say had the most outstanding time. Superb hotel, very quiet Staff were excellent including all in the square restaurant and bar, housekeeping and especially the concierge / travel desk who arranged all my golfing and travel days If I had one minor gripe, and thats it is, it would be the staff […] in the splash bar area did not have the customer care ethic of the main hotel. My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights on the conclusion of a 14 night holiday in the Western Cape. Having stayed in 5 star accommodation throughout our stay, our first impression of The Vineyard was very good. Service at reception was excellent and efficient. Slight disappointment on seeing our (deluxe) room but soon reconciled that our disappointment […] was relative to other places we had stayed rather than a criticism of the Vineyard. What we were seeing was the difference between 4 and 5 star accommodation! Beyond the room, the environs of the hotel have graet character and reflect the history of the place. The gardens are peaceful and scenic and offer a great haven after a day in the city. We ate in 'The Square' on night one and whilst the experience was not aweful, we didn't go back! Myoga was a better experience but didn't quite match the wonderful diningh that we had encountered elsewhere. The location of the hotel is great for all the main attractions and the helpfulness of concierge and travel staff was superb. In summary, a good, almost great, base for a visit to Capetown Läs mer

We've stayed at The Vineyard for more than 10 years now and it continues to improve. From a free welcoming lemon drink to a free cup of coffee sitting in the reception area if you are waiting for someone early in the morning everything has been thought through. Breakfast are a high spot but the three eating areas offer excellent food too. Myoga has […] been a welcome addition but booking is recommended. To sit on the terrace or down by the pool on a warm summers evening definitely suits us and from the warm conversation suits others too. The Vineyard is a beautifully preserved building with grounds overlooking the mountain and two new wings to the right for the guest rooms. These are spacious and have everything you could want. I had a room looking in to the courtyard and it was delightful - trees, clivias, ponds and birds. The hotel staff are unfailingly helpful. Being a small hotel, […] they have time to spoil you, not like the large places down down. The breakfast features so many fresh items, it was hard to choose. The fitness center is state of the art, and I used it frequently. The hotel also has special events throughout the week - wine tastings and so on - but they were booked out, so it would be wise to inquire about these when booking. This is a beautiful hotel in the leafy suburb of Newlands, just a few minutes from central Cape Town. The rooms are lovely -- we were lucky enough to get one with a view of Table Mountain -- and the service is just superb. When I ran short of cash, the hotel's complimentary limo drove me a few blocks to the nearest cash machine, and when my wife couldn't […] get her iPad to connect to the hotel's WiFi system, a manager immediately to our room to help. The staff were truly committed to service. Very helpful, knowledgeable, resourceful, and ever willing to attend to every whimsical need. The rooms were super comfortable with amazing views either of table mountain or a beautiful garden. The breakfast buffet had ever thing you could want or need. I would stay here again in a flash!

Alll aspects of staff service were exceptionally friendly and efficient. Our only problems were that the toilet flush did not clean satisfactorily and then only after holding the flush lever open for over a minute. Also our room (319) was directly under either central air conditioning and / or other electrical devices which ran throughout the night […] and were very sound intrusive. This is a wonderful property. I really felt "at home" here. I literally met couples who have traveled to this hotel on holiday for like 10 years! My room could use a little updating, but wasn't bad. Overall, I recommend this property. As well, the surrounding neighbor is lush & lovely.

Cannot fault this hotel, the service was excellent. The grounds beautiful. All staff very polite and helpful nothing was too much trouble. Food also very good. The rooms very nice and comfortable. Definitely would be happy to stay there again.

The hotel is loaded with amenities, but yet reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and helpful, hotel room, gym and grounds are clean and well-maintained, and the hotel setting is beautiful, with a view of eastern side of Table Mtn. The included full breakfast buffet included in my package was fantastic. Overall, a great value!
