Bra läge i utkanten av Temple Bar-området. Kryllar av pubar/restauranger, ofta med live-musik. Mycket personer i rörelse i området kan göra att visst oväsen hörs in på rummet - vi väcktes en natt av litet hojtande - men inget som störde oss speciellt. Jättesköna sängar. Fräscht badrum. Frukost ingick - fanns buffé med t ex bröd, yoghurt, flingor och […] juice - sen fick man beställa till enligt en meny. Allt från full Irish breakfast till gröt. Wi-Fi på rummet funkade hela tiden klockrent. Skulle gärna bo där igen om jag kommer tillbaka. Läs mer

Kan INTE rekomendera detta hotell. Ordinära rum på gränsen till sjabbigt, men framför allt, ljudnivån ifrån kringliggande pubbar... Varmt i rummet tvunget att sova med öppet fönster med enorm ljudnivå utifrån, fram till kl 03.00-04.00 varje natt!!

Bra läge,nära till många turistmål.(Bra skor och en karta) Annars kan man åka turistbussar som passerar sevärdeheter eller man kan gå av ,för att ta en senare buss. Vill du åka buss och tåg för att se landskapet utan för stan är det nära till centralen. Ett bra hotell med restaurang,bar(kan höras lite)

Great Location. Within walking distance to everything in Dublin. Great service! Accidently slept in and didn't get charged for late check out. Front desk also looked over our bags before and after for free. Free Wifi was great!

Attended a gig in the Olympia with some friends, found this hotel to be in perfect location for this and nightlife afterwards. Very pleased..

This hotel is situated on the West End of Temple Bar and is in a great location. Walkable to all bars and Restaurants and yet very quite in its location! Its really a Gem tucked away in the Temple Bar section of the city! The Staff at the front desk are most helpful in answering any questions you have! I read alot of reviews and did alot of research to find a room in city center Dublin in a good safe area of the town and I hit the nail on the head with the Paramount! great for vicar st and temple bar. get a room near the top and at the rear. band was on till 3am, no noise, no street noise. did not have breakfast so cant comment. in dublin next month will stay a gain

I stayed at the Paramount Hotel for 2 nights (Jan 12) and it was excellent. The room was clean, spacious, and the bathroom, more importantly, spotless. There was some outside noise but nothing annoying, and as for proximity to clubs, pubs and shops.....it couldn't be better. This is a really great hotel.

dark and depressing room, even after 2 changes. totally disappointed and spoiled our trip to Dublin.

the staff were friendly and helpfull . the full breakfast was very tasty the location was great and the airport bus stopped just up the road from the hotel

The hotel location was good for temple bar and walking to other sites in Dublin. Our room was probably the biggest we had out of the three we stayed in on our trip. And the bathroom was nice and big and clean as well. The beds were very hard. There was no airconditioning so we needed to sleep with the windows open because it was hot. Now […] onto my stay at the Paramont Hotel. I had gone online and done a ton of research for a place to stay for one night in Dublin. I looked at many reviews through this site, as well as some others. I struggled because it seemed all the hotels that were available in my price range (around a hundred US), had horrible reviews. Either the hotels were out dated, the streets were super noisy, or the staff was awful...and the Paramount had all those issues in their reviews. However, I ended up going with them and was completely pleased!! The staff was helpful, kind and friendly. They greeted us with a smile, helped us find parking for our rental, and gave us detailed directions when needed. The room was small, but the bathroom was a good size. Since you are traveling, how big do you really need the room to be? There was a desk, armoire, night stands and lots of light. The windows were large and let in a ton of great light to the room. The bed wasn't as comfortable as what I have at home, but for a European vacation, you can’t really expect that unless you pay a ton of money. The bathroom was a nice big size and the water pressure was great (something I was oddly concerned about). There is a huge mirror, nice sink, and a shower with shelves for your toiletries (again, something that always bothers me if it’s missing). The hotel has free WiFi, but you do have to pay for parking. Which is close by and a garage. The hotel is not the big fancy place, and if you keep your expectations as a great place to sleep and get ready for another day of sight-seeing, then you won’t be disappointed. Excellent location, Reasonable price, Attractive front & entrance. Staff on desk not at all welcoming or inviting. Absolutely NO pleasantries other than "Here is your key". I hadn't booked breakfast so this guy clearly was not going to tell me where the restaurant or an other amenities in the hotel or the surrounding area were! We had some concerns when the hotel didnt have a room for us at 9pm, but we waited the 15 minutes until they could clean one. Other than the slight smell of urine, the room was mostly clean if threadbare. With the window open, the smell quickly dissipated. Unfortunately, the room faces a street of bars and pubs, the resulting noise made sleep before […] 4 a.m. difficult. We're stuck here for 2 more days, I'd recommend booking for only one night, then if you can stomach it, book for more. The hotel met all our needs as it was in the center of Temple Bar. We accepted and knew it could be noisy at night, which it was and the room was rather hot. But the room was roomy and clean and the service was excellent. The meal in the joining bar/restaurant was good and reasonably priced. I would definitely go back there.

I wasn't initially concerned about the other reviewers stating how noisy the hotel was, as I expected that in a downtown location. However, the noise was so bad, we could barely sleep at all. It wasn't the normal street noise that kept us awake, but loud alarms constantly going off just outside our room. I don't know if they were car alarms, burglar […] alarms or what, but they were going off consistantly every 30 minutes all night long. Other than that, the hotel is a bit older, but very nice. Staff was friendly and the location is ideal if you don't care about sleeping. There is also a parking lot a couple blocks away with reasonable rates for hotel guests. Läs mer

Room was too hot at night so I had to open the window. Obviously temple bar is noisy so bring your earplugs! Great value for money

Décor a little tired, but everything worked perfectly, was comfortable, clean and the hotel in a very convenient location.

Hotel was nice... bedroom was slightly dark since the window faced away from the street. Many reviews said that it gets noisy. However, we thought it was quiet. Bathroom was nice also. All the other reviews are right, you can't ask for a more convenient location in town, and the rooms are pretty nice. Just be aware that if you are a light sleeper, the noise will make it difficult to sleep. Perhaps more importantly, if you are on a high floor in the summer, prepare to sweat! Great location being right on the edge of the temple bar area, but that also means noise from outside at 3:30am. Fine if you're outside, or just take some ear plugs. Staff are friendly and hotel is clean although more tired than the website photos lead you to believe. Those photos are probably 8 years old.

Right in the heart of Dublin, in the busy temple bar area, this hotel is both convenient (everything within walking distance) and friendly. The staff are attentive and the rooms are a good size and clean. Stayed in the Paramount on tuesday 16th and thursday 18th November. Hotel is clean and staff are friendly. Had breakfast on the thursday and was very satisfied with both the service and quality of the food on offer. There was no hot water available on wednesday morning which was unforgiveable as this is a very basic requirement and expectation. Apart […] from this I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The hotel is a minutes walking distance from Dublin Castle and Temple Bar. The hotel is very clean. Room was in great condition, warm, had working shower and toilets and noise levels were low. Would definitely stay again.

very nice hotel, clean, quite and most of all in a great location. just a minute walk from the temple bar but yet very peacefull. highly recomended.

Good location on the edge of Temple Bar... lots of pubs and lots going on, but in walking distance of theatres and resturants and shopping... This is my 7th stay at this hotel... and I prefer it to elsewhere. Not expensive, and a good location. For breakfast, Queen of Hearts is just round the corner.

The Paramount was in the perfect location for walking around downtown Dublin and enjoying Temple Bar! The staff were friendly, the hotel was very clean, and the bathroom was a great size. The only negatives were the two twins that they converted into a king bed (there was a ledge in the middle) and that you can hear the bass from the bar at nighttime. […] We were in a courtyard room, so noise wasn't too bad overall. This hotel is in a great location for walking to everything that's relative in Dublin. However, I would bring earplugs if one is located on the lower levels. It can get noisy at night. I travel with earplugs and a night mask, so I had no problem!

Great location for convenience (a few blocks from Aston Quay Bus stop and near Temble Bar area) but located over a bar and across the street from a late bar so bring earplugs. We would stay there again though.

Help went out of their way to help get our bag back that was left in the taxi. Very convienent to the night life.

The room at the hotel was fine. Minimal frills, but roomy and safe. However, it was outrageously noisy at night...there are 3 "late bars" open until 3am at the intersection of the hotel corner and a late night restaurant across the street. It was so loud that I actually got out of bed because I thought the window was open. I felt like I was sleeping […] either in the pubs or on the street with the drunk pub patrons. If you'll be out til 4am, this is the place for you. It is convenient and good value for the money. But if you need some sleep, don't stay here...you'll sleep much better elsewhere. Läs mer

Room was just like the pIctures, it was in a very good location and the Hotel was very nice all in all. However the concierge when i checked in failed to tell me that the electrics wouldn't work without putting my key card in holder inside the room, phoned reception and they helped. The water for the bath/shower wasn't warm and took a very long time […] to get hot. The main pictures of the hotel showed a lovely room with people drinking in (nice pictures on the ceiling) but this is only a function room and not available to hotel guests :( the food in the bar was not as advertised so much so that i didn't eat there at all i was very disappointed about this but with so many other places to eat in the area it didn't matter. the locals were very nice but one thing that let dublin down was the amount of beggars, and I'm from london. Thats the most positive aspect of this hotel. It is right in the heart of temple bar so is a perfect base, but that's all it is. It is on top of a bar, and half of the rooms are east facing (toward the temple bar area) so every night the major problem is NOISE NOISE NOISE! Though the rooms are a little on the small side, the bed was comfortable, the […] shower was good and the storage areas were decent. The lighting was a little dingey, infact the whole hotel seemed a little on the dark side. For us it was a base, and had everything we needed, except the quiet at the end of our night, (though we didnt really notice after a guinness or two) but be prepared for the noise until 3.30, and then barrel emptying at 10am. Great location, excellent service. I was worried because many other reviews stated it was very noisy at night. My room was on the 3rd floor and we never heard much noise at all at night. Nice rooms, nice lobby, but very small. Just your average contemporary styling and bathroom. Shower was very small. The noise outside wasnt that bad. The windows did a good job at blocking noise, but sometimes the 3am crowd exiting the bar could be noisy. We slept through it on most nights, but one night some drunk idiot pulled the fire alarm and we […] had to evacuate. They offered us free breakfast room service for the inconvenience. I read all the reviews prior to taking this trip and saw one common drawback in each review...the noise. I'm 25 and have been living downtown Seattle for 3 years, so noise is not an issue for me. The hotel is on the edge of Temple Bar which is the central of nightlife no matter what day it is, so noise is expected. Dublin Castle is only a block away, […] and there's shopping all around within walking distance. This hotel is the perfect location for anything in Dublin, you just have to be able to stand some noise. Ammenities were fine, hotel staff was friendly and rooms are kept clean. Great hotel for younger crowd who would likely be awake while the noise is happening anyhow, or even the older crowd who wants to be within walking distance to all that Dublin has to offer. This hotel was in a perfect location, the staff was wonderful, and I got a fantastic price. Do not stay in the hotel if you want to get a quiet night's sleep. The noise continued until at least 2 AM every night even during my stay Tues-Thurs in late June. If you will be spending your time in the evenings at the pub anyway, it is perfect.

We spent a total of three nights at the Paramount Hotel in the Temple Bar area. While the surrounding area is absolutely outstanding, the hotel, while nice, needs some tidying up. The rooms are draped in brown and the quality of the materials in the room and quite low. As for some of the reviews complaining about noise, it is very real - nothing out […] of the ordinary for a major city, but if you're planning on staying here for a business trip and need a quiet restful night, this would not be the place to stay. This hotel was right in the heart of the city - like one block away from Temple Bar area. We were able to leave our room and walk around to all attractions. My only draw backs with the hotel was the service at the front desk and the bed in our room. There was only one person at the front desk who was polite (he worked during the evening) very nice and […] helpful. The others working were not pleasant. When I checked in the woman was unfriendly and she seemed as if I was bothering her. That did not make for a great first impression. The other issue was our bed...we requested a king bed, but what received was two twins bed pushed together to form a king. Normally I wouldn't fuss about this, but the beds were hard - felt like I was sleeping on the springboard - and where the two bed met it was even harder and made it difficult to get comfortable in the evening.
