Hotell Holiday Inn London Heathrow - London

Had to stay at Heathrow and picked this hotel. The entrance was on the back of the building and not so easy to find. If you arrive by shuttle you will not have this problem of course but I did not. Also, the road outside the entrance was oneway so in the morning (bad timing that was) when a truck was off-loading goods it created a small chaos and everybody […] had to back their way out from the one-way street now blocked by the truck! Not ideal when you are in a hurry. Otherwise it was ok, but not brilliant. Room was clean etc but definitely will need refurbishing soon. Service was very good though, very friendly! Läs mer

Great taxi service. Did not prebook but got a Jaguar limo to my office for only 20 pounds, 5 min after I asked for it in the morning

Hej funkade bra med gratisbussen från bussstationen vid terminal 1,2,3 som tog ca 10 minuter med bra turtäthet och 100 meters promenad till hotellet från busshållplatsen.

Excellent apart from the fire alarm going off but thankfully the staff were very quick and efficient in getting us all out to safety and we were back in our room as soon as it was safe to do so.

Good hotel for heathrow airport. Clean, cheap and great service. The restraunt was nice, but a little expensive, and bot many other options around. However has a gym and would stay here again

The hotel was easy to find by car. The staff were very welcoming & helpful. The hotel was very modern & clean. The room was actually quite large & nicer than we've had in previous airport hotels, with all the usual tea & coffees, bath essentials like shampoo, provided. My boyfriend lives in Los Angeles, so we tend to overnight in a Heathrow hotel the […] night before his flight back home & this was, by far, the nicest we've stayed in. Airport shuttles to Heathrow ran regularly & the hotel offered to call us a taxi as well. The shuttle only took about 15mins to terminal 3, less than that for terminal 1. When we checked in on Sunday, We got a room that seemed a smoking room; smoke smell bothered me so I phoned the front desk, immediately. A new clean room was made available. Also two coupons for bar drink was given to us. We enjoyed the drink and our accommodation, car park all was good. We spent one night here wrapping up our eight-day trip to London. The staff was nice and the room was comfortable. We got an upgrade when the lights would not come on in the room. Not sure what the malfunction was, but the manager immediately moved us to an executive room since the maintenance people were busy at the time. Warning...do not stay at any […] of the airport hotels if you plan on going into central London often. It takes forever using the Underground and the Hoppa bus is not convenient for frequent trips to the airport to catch the subway. There is the Heathrow Express train that gets you to Paddington Station in Central London in about 15 minutes, but it is expensive and definitely not worth the cost if you use it many times. However, if you are only staying near the airport and not venturing into London too many times then this is a wonderful hotel. Läs mer

This hotel is an old Holiday Inn. The rooms are clean, and the front desk and restaurant are well run and helpful. One major compaint: The small full-size bed had an actual trough on the side next to the phone. Bedding was clean and nice, but they really need new mattresses since most people go there to sleep before a morning flight.

Although the hotel is called Holliday Inn London Heathrow, it's not quite as close to the actual airport terminals as one might expect, and explains the great value and definite lower cost as compared to some of the other (closer) hotels! It's about a 10-12 Min drive from the airport by car. Hotel restaurant open until 10:30 and the bar serves a reduced […] menu until closing, 1 PM or so. Clean, decent size rooms, modern appointments, flat screen cableTV, free internet and modern (jacuzzi) baths, large property (3 buildings) and really friendly front desk and dining room staff. Authentic pub about a couple of minutes walk up the road as a great alternative for a"pint of local flavour", which closes at 11 PM. Cabs are between Heathrow and hotel 18 to 25 pounds (30 to to 40 dollars) pending who you get, and there is a shuttle bus ( 4 pounds ($6.50) one way/ 7 pounds (10.25) return, that runs between a number of hotels and terminals that can take from 25 to 40 minutes, again pending up/back/terminal. Bus runs about every 30 min, beware terminal 4 and 5 are a different bus!! For the cost-concious like me the bus is great value but can be very s-l-o-w....Not good when you are rushing out at 5.15 AM. Läs mer

Room was clean and well appointed. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Only stayed overnight for early morning connection so can't comment on neighbourhood, but very close to airport. Would definitely use this hotel again if staying at Heathrow.

Close to Heathrow Airport, and extremely handy when having a late arrival in. Make sure you organise to have the airport shuttle, which will cost you about 5 pound - we took a taxi, and was charged about 20 - silly us! The staff were warm and helpful. The room was small (ish) and we ended up with twin beds instead of a double - but that wasn't a problem […] - it was lovely and clean and extremely comfortable. Thoroughly recommend a stay! Läs mer

One of the things I liked the most about this hotel was its location, so close to the airport but also close to public transportation to go to the central areas of London. The place is well taken care of and the people from the hotel were super nice. We arrived very late with alot of luggage. The lift just happened to be out of order however a staff member helped us with our bags. The bed was very comfortable with a pillow choice. A great location for an early flight.

This was booked so I could have a good nights sleep before I had to catch a 12 hour flight. The room was huge, good tv and very good bathroom. I didn't have essentials such as toothpaste but they bought them up to my room for free of charge. I had a buffet breakfast that I enjoyed for only £15. The only negative point is that you have to pay for wifi […] which I'm against but I guess that's just how it goes hotel or not. Very easy to get there too thanks to the hoppa bus it takes less than 5 mins from the airport. Läs mer

My room was very clean and comfortable but it was very noisy, There was alot of noise from plumbing or water in pipes or something from the surrounding rooms. I was also next to a fire door and it there was a lot of noise as people went back and forth. I got very little sleep mostly due to the pipe/water noise.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the standard of efficiency,the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room and the excellent food and service in the restaurant. A bonus was the organised taxi service to the airport.

A Christmas party carried on in the foyer with very loud music that could clearly be heard in my bedroom until around 1.30/2.00am. Coupled with paper thin interleading door to the neighbouring room whose occupants until around 2.30am I was NOT impressed! My wake up call was at 4.15am for my early morning flight. The whole point of using an airport hotel […] is to get a good night's sleep for an early start. I did not achieve that. The airport bus system is pathetic, forcing you to either take the best part of half an hour to get to the terminal; or to take a taxi at rip-off fares for a 7 minute journey. Oh, and they dont take credit cards so you have to withdraw money from the hotel ATM which surprise surprise charges you £1.50 for withdrawals. Not an experience I shall be repeating at this hotel.
