Hotell Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki - Honolulu

Är ett trevligt hotell, vi fick ett bra rum med balkong o hygglig utsikt. Bra läge, 5 minuter till beachen. Trevlig personal, kaffe o vatten i lobbyn finns tillgängligt hela tiden utan kostnad. Fri internetanslutning i lobbyn. Trevligt cocktaliparty på tisdagar.

Bra och enkelt hotell. Ligger på rätt sida av waikiki. 5 minuter från havet. Men det finns hotell som ligger närmare om man behöver det. Frukosten ingick fast att det inte stod på vår Bokning. Wifi fungerade bara i lobbyn. Hade önskat att den funkat på vårt rum också

Vi bodde på White Sands Hotel första veckan och på detta hotell vecka nr 2. De hade lika många stjärnor till samma pris men skillnaden var som natt och dag. Rummet var rymligt och fräscht med mikro och kylskåp. Hotellet kändes nybyggt eller nyrenoverat. Internet fanns gratis med sladd på rummet (vilket många inte kände till och därför aldrig bad receptionen […] om en sladd) eller wifi i receptionen. Pool och poolområde var fint men litet. Mitt enda minus var att det fanns 6 solstolar till ett hotell med hundratals gäster. Men eftersom hotellet ligger så nära Waikiki Beach (läget är kanon) så är det flesta på stranden ändå så vi fick oftast plats de gånger vi ville ligga vid poolen. Läs mer

Aloha surf & Spa var ett bra hotell med bra läge. Rummet var rent med bra säng. Badrummet var rent med bra dusch. Det enda negativa var att vi hamnade i ett rum precis bredvid hissen, men trots högt ljud när hissarna åkte upp och ner stördes vi inte av det på natten.

Hotellet var helt ok, det var ungefär det vi förväntade oss. Det är ett gammalt och slitet hotell, men det kändes inte ofräsht. Vi bokade 1 rum för 3 personer och fick ett rum med en dubbelsäng helt utan extrasäng. När vi påtalade detta löste de en luftmadrass (som tyvärr hade punktering) och sa att det var Hotels.com som hade gjort fel. Men de ordnade […] ändå ett superior-rum till dagen efter, så det löste sig bra. Frukosten är under all kritik, continental breakfast med mycket dåligt utbud. Det fanns inget pålägg till brödet, endast smör. Det var dåligt med sittplatser, man fick dela bord med andra även fast man var 3-4 personer i sällskapet. Hjälpsam och trevlig hotellpersonal som mer än gärna svarar på frågor och ger råd om busslinjer, restauranger mm. Personalen är mycket mån om om att tillgodose gästens önskemål om städning mm. Rummet (vi var 4 personer med två 18-åriga ungdomar): Rent och snyggt inrett med fin konst, men trångt för oss. Mycket obekväm bäddsoffa som var hård. Annars […] var sängarna mycket sköna. Allmänna utrymmen och service: Fina och stora utrymmen att sitta i. Fritt dricksvatten i receptionen, daglig fri tidning och tillgång till internet. Kontinental frukost: Som väntat enkel, med avsaknad av grönsaker, fibrer, mjölk (mjölkpulver)och riktig juice (saft). Bakverk serverades med vitt formbröd samt stekta plättar och svagt kaffe. Positivt var att det serverades äpple och apelsinklyftor. Jag rekommenderar ej denna frukost om den inte redan ingår i hotellpriset. Läs mer

Mycket trevlig och tillmötessgående personal. Utan knussel bytte vi från baksidan till framsidan för att få bättre utsikt mot staden. Pannkakor till frukost! Servicen med strandhandukar uppskattade vi. Lite dyr parkering.

Mkt prisvärt hotell där det ingick både frukost och internet! Nygräddade pannkakor och frukt till frukost gav en bra start på dagen. Jättebra läge och nära till Waikiki shopping och strand. Kan definitivt rekommendera detta prisvärda hotell till personer som inte vill läga hela semesterkassan på boendet men samtidigt inte gör avkall på läge och ser […] vice. Läs mer

Hotel was in great location...near beach, restaurants clubs and shopping....staff was very friendly and helpful....they gave us a double upgrade to deluxe instead of the modern I paid for which was fine.....we didn't have a beach view but that was fine too....It may not be modern like the high end hotels I'm used to but for the price, convenience of […] location it was excellent...who stays in the room in Hawaii anyways.....bed was comfortable and room was clean, they had a sofa bed which was nice but not great to sleep in unless ur totally worn out! Room had a fridge, and microwave and even dishes n silverware which is great if u have leftovers.....hotel swimming pool was pretty small but who goes there when u have the beach....overall I thought this place was fine .....I would definitely stay again.... Room was small but it was what we expected considering the low nightly cost of our stay. We were just looking for a place to crash at night, since we planned to go out for the entire day. One of my complaints is our sliding bathroom door was not working well and often come off its plastic hinge on attached to the floor. We notified the front desk which […] had someone fix it, but after a few uses, the door did not slide smoothly again, so we just tolerated it and dragged the door to close it. The other complain is low availability of parking spots. There's a waitlist system that requires you to wait until the following morning to inquire about availability of parking spots for that day. To avoid this, I recommend paying in advance so you're guaranteed a parking spot for the days you pay. Läs mer

I was here one night, and that was enough. Like many people, I booked the 'cheap' room rate, which put me on the 3rd floor in a single. A higher floor would have cost more at the desk (something obviously not mentioned beforehand). It was the smallest hotel room I have ever seen in the US; just enough space for a full sized bed (not a queen) and a dresser […] with a microwave on top. No desk. No chair, and no space for one. It was also on a loud street next to a parking lot. Fortunately, I had come in on a redeye and with earplugs was able to sleep, since at least the bed was decent. This Waikiki hotel is a great value for the price. It is conveniently located near the beach and main shopping and dining areas. The staff is very friendly. Kai. One of the agents on duty was very accommodating and helpful with check in. We asked for the latest check out he cold give and he made it happen along with the holding of our luggage so that we can walk around before our flight back. It worked out perfectly that we checked in on Tuesday. Which so happens to be the General Manager's Cocktail Hour. […] The complimentary "Wipe Out" cocktail was delicious and welcomed after such a long flight. They rolled off every part of the palette perfectly. Staff was extremely helpful with directions, information, and suggestions. If you're looking for luxury. The Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki is not for you. The room was small and cozy. The bed provided a good nights sleep. Good pressurized shower. Descent view from balcony. We arrived in the middle of a downpour around 1pm - early for check-in and our room was not ready, but the front desk immediately got on the radio, talked with housekeeping and found a room in our category that was ready so we could get to our room right away. Our luggage was taken up for us and he even helped us into the room and explained all the […] workings of the hotel. It was a wonderful start to our rainy vacation. The hotel was very clean and so convenient for walking to the beach, the International Marketplace, restaurants, the Honolulu Zoo, and all the shopping you could hope for. Liked the hotel it was affordable and very close to all the clubs we visited, room was a decent size, one queen and a twin plus the pull out bed in the couch. Desk service was horrible. Room wasn't ready and not what I reserved. They said it was a last minute reservation but it was confirmed hours before.

Decent price, decent room, nice location, no complaints.

The hotel was good. Service from the reception desk wasn't the best esp times when there's just one person there (had to wait at least 20 mins one time). Make sure you're remote control is working coz if the maintenance guy is gone, no one will fix it for you til he comes back the next day. Just a few blocks from Waikiki beach so convenient location. Wifi […] didn't work all the time. And just available in the lobby : ( There's A/C (very nice during a hot afternoon). My husband and I stayed at the the Aqua Aloha Surf and Spa for a total of three nights. The hotel was clean with friendly and helpful staff. Even though we couldn't see the beach from our room, we could did have gorgeous view of the mountainside. The hotel did offer massage and other spa services, but only by appointment. I checked in 11am! This hotel was sold out. They enforce the check-in policy, at 3pm. I arrived early at 11am. They pre-check me, at 11am. Mid-ranged hotel of very decent quality aqnd very centrally located near Waikiki Beach, with lots of amenities close by. Rooms are clean and comfortable but the air-condition is rather old and rust at the exterior. Breakfast is very limited. Overall, a very comfotable stay if one is not too picky of exceptional quality and service.

The room was a bit small, but it was clean. The shower / restroom was really small, but worked well and was clean. The neighbor hood is kinda sketchy, but not bad. All in all it was a good place to stay at a decent price. We are going to try some of the other Aqua Hotels when we return to Oahu. Very close to everything: beach, starbucks, dennys, mcdonalds few blocks up in front of Waikiki. Nice and quiet. 1 queen bed, small flat screen tv & couch. 2 issues I had were no bathtub & looked like mildew in shower. The hotel is kind of old but the location and the great service make up for it. The hotel is 2 blocks from the beach and everything is in walking distance.

Definately not the best hotel around but the location is good. 2 blocks from the beach in the middle of the tourist area. You don't go to Hawaii for the hotel so this one is a good buy. I have no problem with using this hotel in the future. Very nice and helpful staff.

We were staying in Honolulu for two nights and didn't want to go crazy in terms of splurging for a hotel roo. After some research, I decided to go with the Aloha Surf and Spa Hotel as I had read good things about it. The price was low and the service was fantastic. On Tuesdays, they have a complimentary happy hour in which they serve a cocktail they […] make (the name slips my mind), and my friends and I loved it. Craig and Ofelia were so nice, and they just seemed so happy to go around the lobby, giving out chocolates and pouring their signature cocktails into empty glasses. Our room was great, and much to our surprise came with a microwave, coffee pot, and fridge. The location of the hotel is wonderful as well - just a few blocks from the main shopping streets, and a half a block from a beautiful canal that is perfect for jogging along. Everything is near by, which is what I look for in a hotel. Combine it with the price, and you've got a winner. The only minor setback is the breakfast - it is $4.95 for some pancakes, muffins, toast, and oatmeal. Personally, I dont think it's worth the price. If it was complimentary, then that would have been great. But given the small selection, I'd go elsewhere for breakfast. This hotel in Hawaii has a friendly staff, clean rooms and overall is a good pick. It is a little expensive, but what hotel in Hawaii in the summer is not. The staff is what sets it apart.

A spruced up older hotel, not deluxe, but still fine. The decor is contemporary and in pretty good shape. My suggestion to the Aloha Surf... Give a little attention to the food service. The continental breakfast ($4.95) is served in a drab little room and doesn't match the feel of the hotel. This hotel was above and beyond our expectations for the price we paid. We got the cheapest room and it still had an amazing view, and a fridge & microwave. We would reccommend this place to anyone.
