Hotell The Trafalgar Hilton - London

Att bo i centrum av London är en lyx som alla borde pröva någon gång. Det är möjligt och lätt att ta sig överallt och nära till hotellet efter en dags shopping, museeie vandring eller en natt i stan´.

Hotellet ligger vid Trafalgar Square så man har hela London för sina fötter. Själva hotellet var bra, dock lite konstiga stora skåp som tog onödig plats, och tyvärr heltäckningsmatta.

Hotellet är beläget på självaste Trafalgar Square, 1min promenad från Charing Cross tunnelbana och 5-10min gångpromenad från Soho (Piccadilly Circus) som är enligt många Londons hjärta med mycket liv, restauranger, nattklubbar, caféer och barer. Turisternas paradis. Embankment tunnelbana är också 5-10 min promenad från hotellet och därifrån när du […] de flesta tunnelbanelinjer. St James Park är också 5-10 min promenad från hotellet och promenerar du runt i parken kan du på 15-40 min komma till attraktioner som Big Ben, London Eye och även Westminster Abbey. Allting är i närheten helt enkelt. Hotellrum: Standardrummen är godkända. Ganska väl städat. Det absolut bästa är sängen som verkligen är kingsize bed utan kompromisser. Badrummet var ganska dåligt designat då den inte har avloppshål i golvet, handfat har platt botten vilket gör att ingenting rinner iväg om man inte kastar vatten med händerna. Ljuset saknar dimmer och lamporna är dåligt placerade vilket gör att rummet antingen är jätte ljust eller mörk. Servicen var bra och personalen trevlig. Vid incheckningen fick vi vänta extra eftersom vårt rum inte var klar i tid med då fick vi gratis dricka på hotellbaren. Vi har inte käkat någonting på hotellet men bara för att i närheten finns det stort utbud av fina restauranger för alla prisklasser. För god lunch/middag (middag för 2 ca. 50-70gbp) vill jag starkt rekommendera Brumus restaurang som ligger 2min promenad från hotellet på Suffolk Street. Läs mer

Vi ville (som oftast) bo centralt i London och valde därför The Trafalgar vid Trafalgar Square. Närmaste tunnelbanestation är Charing Cross, men det är enklare, och inte många meter längre, att åka via Embankment om man kommer in från Victoria (typ flygbussen). Hotellet är diskret lyxigt. Eftersom vi anlände redan på förmiddagen kunde vi inte checka […] in på en gång, utan fick lämna väskorna på förvaring i receptionen. När vi kom tillbaka efter 15.00 och checkade in var väskorna redan uppburna till vårt rum. Vi hade frukost i rumspriset och den var riktigt bra. På söndagsmorgonen var det även levande musik i frukostmatsalen! Rummet var stort (för att vara ett rum i London) och innehöll allt man kunde önska sig, inklusive badrockar och badrumsvåg. Läs mer

Ett fantastisk hotell med en mycket personlig karaktär. Hotellet ligger perfekt i Londons Hjärta. Rummen är rena & fräscha, Hotellets Frukost är underbar där man möts av en skön sång från en spelande trubadur live. Mest fantastiskt var takterrassen med en fantastisk utsikt, perfekt plats att starta kvällen ifrån.

We had a super stay !

Wanted a romatic weekend with my wife in London. This hotel was perfect as they arranged roses in the room, perfect room with a view at Trafalgar Square, staff unbelivable helpful on any question. Tried the room service with dinner in the evening. It was as near perfect as possible...!

Good sized rooms for London, we did get an upgrade though. Brilliant location. Nice Staff. Very clean.

Excellent location, very helpful staff, would recommend staying here and would go back.

The location of the hotel is perfect, close to "everything", but still on a quite calm street. The staff was very service-minded and helpful. The breakfast was also great. You could notice that some things, like the safe and the TV are getting a little old, but it was nothing that bothered us.

We chose to stay here because it is so close to the Gallery we wanted to visit. However, we were extremely impressed from the off with the hotel. The hotel is in a fantastic location! Directly in front of Trafalgar Square. The overall look and aesthetics are beautiful and a great mix of modern on the inside and old and architecturally exquisite on the outside. However, it was the actual hotel room that bothered me. I had paid extra for a bigger and better room (going by the image that was attached […] to the room description) and I have to say, it was severely misleading! The room was small and nothing like the photo. When I went back to the front desk wondering if they may have accidentally put us in a regular room, they let me know that it was supposedly the larger room; I don't even want to know what the regular rooms are like! The inside of the rooms just didn't make sense with the modern and intimately lit hallways; furniture and paint seemed old and unkempt. The worst part was asking for a champagne pail and having it take 30 minutes to bring to our room! We wouldn't have needed to ask the extremely slow staff, but they didn't have ice machines, so we had to. Service was very disappointing for a seemingly high-end hotel. Although we had our issues, the hotel is just so wonderfully located, that I can't be too bitter about my experience! Stayed one night only,family of 6 in 3 rooms.Had been allocated rooms next to each other. all spacious comfortable and clean with nice bathrooms.Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast.. Drinks expensive. I have traveled more than 5 millions miles in my life and I have stayed at a ton of hotels. The Trafalgar Hilton is, I guess, and attempt by Hilton to have a boutique hotel in London without the "corporate" feel of a Hilton hotel coming through. I was traveling with my boyfriend and we needed a full service hotel during our lay over. PROBLEMS: Unfortunately, the designer of this hotel thought that dark hallways and drab brown rooms with light switches the size of push pins would be coming back in style. I am not a complainer, but two grown males spent 20 minutes trying to get all the lights on in the room. For the price of this hotel, I would expect a room to be spotless and in excellent condition. The rooms were a little dirty and the "flow" of the room is difficult to describe. The internet policies and connections in the hotel were awful. They charge per device --- about XX.XX US per day. So if you have 2 laptops and 2 IPads like we did you can easily fork over an extra XXX.00 just to get connected. The service was sloooooow and kept losing connections. Forget about trying to use Skype in this hotel. POSITIVE: The staff was amazing --- very accommodating and eager to serve. The view from the roof of the hotel is not to be missed. Great Location!

First and most of all, this hotel has the friendliest staff in the world. Breakfast room is cozy but rather small. During the weekends there can be a waiting line. Excellent buffet otherwise and what isn't there you just ask for and it will be delivered with a smile. Try the pancakes! Great Hotel, everything was all right, our booking, the restaurant and tha Vista Bar and I´d like to thank´s all the staff, always ready to help.

Excellent hotel in a great area. Lots of nightlife within a short walking distance. Not so easy to find because there isn't a Hilton sign anywhere - just Trafalgar Hotel.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at the Trafalgar Hotel, I even asked 2 days before whether we would be able to book into our room 2 hours earlier than detailed on their website, I didn't really expect this to be possible but when we turned up on the day we were wrong, we were warmly welcomed and allowed into our room at 1pm rather then 3pm. This hotel is fantastic and the service was the best I received on this holiday! Excellent breakfast, funky bar upstairs and very central making it easy to do everything. Highly recommended.

Great location, right on Trafalgar Square. Food was v good, only gripe would be the breakfast room was a bit cramped but food makes up for it. Managed to time lunch just right (weatherwise) and enjoy it on the roof - great views and worth a visit in itself. Would stay here again :-)

All I can say is that this hotel was beyond our expectations. the service, staff, room, location, breakfast were fantastic. we loved our first experience of London and The Trafalgar was a huge part in that. The staff were very friendly and the room was lovely. Just a 4 minute walk to the theatre. Sleeping opposite the amazing view of Trafalgar Square and only a 5 minute walk to Buckingham Palace. Worth every penny. This hotel was good, but not stellar. It is basically a Hilton with a few more amenities. It was a bit overpriced for what it was, although I do conceed that accomodation in London tends to be very expensive. The bathroom was not very functional, with a sink that wasn't the greatest and a bath/shower that would result in water going everywhere. The […] carpets throughout the hotel (including in the rooms) look old and outdated. The rest is fine - beds, public spaces, etc. A particularly positive aspect is the breakfast, which was very good, but also eaten to the sound of a live musician, some guy playing accoustic guitar and singing some cover songs - he was very good and this added a special touch to the breakfast and started th eday off in a nice way! The staff is very helpful. Oh yes, one last thing. About being overpriced...Beware of any telephone calls made from the room. I know this is a common occurence in "boutique hotels", but their rates are just OUTRAGEOUS. I received a 15 pound-bill for a 5-minute call to a local cell phone. Take my word for it, just don't make any calls from the room! We were greeted with a lovely glass of champagne after a long travel day which set the stage for an excellent stay. All staff were helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. I must recommend the Vista Lounge overlooking the city, small and pricey (for Americans), but worth it. The view is breathtaking! The restaurant never had anyone to serve you both times I went, the lobby is a LOUD nightclub in the evening, guests checking in had to yell to be heard at the front desk...if your older then 30 years old, find another location

Excellent breakfast good and service great

Hotel staff was great from check-in to check-out. They even handled the delivery of my delayed baggage from Delta Airlines. Attentive, personable and efficient staff. The person we interacted with with at the hotel desk was Clueless.. She had our name wrong, gave us a key to a room which was already occupied, and then kept us waiting 45 minutes before she told us it would still be awhile before the room was ready.

The Hotel is right in the middle of trafelgar square, near the charing cross tube station. When i got to my room my AC was broken and my room was scorching. However I told the staff and they provided me an upgrade to my room which was fantastic. Also get the benedict royale for breakfast.

i booked this hotel and was rather hesitant as it was for a romantic weekend away for my girlfriend as a surprise. seen as we are only 18, i was expecting to walk in with all of the staff looking down on us and feel out of place, but when we walked through the doors we were treated amazingly. The night we checked in we were put in a room that had dirty carpeting, mold growing in the shower and an ironing board sitting in the middle of the room. The marble floor in the bathroom was stained. Overall the property was much to tired to be listed as four star. I was very disappointed and definitely would not stay there again, or recommend it to […] friends. To be fair, I have to say that the day manager was a great guy and went out of his way to help. Great hotel, large rooms, a lot bigger than i expected after reading reviews on the size of london hotel rooms. Room was fantastic, very clean and the staff were friendly. Good location to get around london also, walking distance to Buckingham palace and the london eye.

Trafalgar Hilton is the best location in all of London for siteseeing and walking to all the conveniences including Covent Garden. Roof Top lounge gives you views of all of London and is just breath taking.

quiet, clean, comfortable. decent bar on the roof. restaurant a bit too hip (loud music, loud clientelle), but that is a matter of taste. highly recommended, no flaws.

You could not ask for a better location in London: close to the theaters, restaurants, museums, and public transportation. For those interested in such things, the lobby appears to be a popular place for young professionals to socialize after work. The Trafalgar is a "Boutique" hotel...The location, ambience, staff, food and overall experience can't be beat.

Very Modern Hotel. Rooms were decent size for London. Very Clean. Recommend adding the breakfast plan as it is a good value and you can get English or American breakfast. The only complaint was that right outside our window was the recycle bottle bins were right outside our window so people from local establishments were dropping bottles in the bins […] at all hours of the night and morning.
