Toppenbra hotell! Läget är perfekt och riktigt bra frukost-buffé :) Se dock upp när ni checkar ut. Vi hade bokat och betalat inklusive frukost och ändå försökte hotellet ta betalt för frukosten en gång till separat!!!

Excellent spot in the city, easy walk to center of town, comfy room, clean & modern bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Would stay again.

Great hotel, very comfortable bed and fantastic power shower and hair dryer in bathroom. Very central only a short stroll from Callao metro. Did not have breakfast included in our deal but really good tapas bars serving toast etc very close by. Would highly recommend it.

We stayed 7 nights at Intur Palacio San Martin and what a joy it was! The hotel is located within a walking distance from many of the Madrid attractions: Monasterio de las descalzas reales is virtually next door, the Royal Opera, Royal Palace are less than 10 minutes away, as is Puerta del Sol. Il Corte Ingles - a store with everything - is few hundred […] metres down the road. In fact we walked everywhere. In all the time we were in Madrid we only used public transport 2 or 3 times (mind you, we enjoy sigtseeing on foot). There is a good selection of eateries, coffee shops and restaurants near the hotel. Don't miss Chocolateria San Gines for its amazing hot chocolate and churos is two minutes away. As the hotel is centrally located there is no shortage of good shops, whether you are looking for boutiques, something more Spanish or quirky. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Our room was fairly spacious, with a great bathroom. It was very clean and the room maids did an excellent job of maintaining it fresh and welcoming. The room was incredibly quiet and we had some of the best night sleep anywhere in the world! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We'll sure be back next time we are in Madrid. Läs mer

We booked this hotel because of all the positive reviews. This was not my first time in Madrid, and I think for the price you can get a better deal. The hotel needs some remodeling/updates, specially inside the rooms. We originally got a tiny room at the third floor with a tiny window facing an inside wall (RM 315, terrible room). I asked if we could […] be accommodated to a room with a better view and they gave us a Suite on the 5th floor. RM 501. HUGE room, with spectacular view. We had very large windows throughout the suite, and a huge balcony connecting both. The location was decent, although the Metro wasn't as close as I expected. No convenience store close by though. Closest supermarket was at "El Corte Ingles" a couple of blocks away. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Our experience was a good one and I would probably would have given them 4 stars if we had the suite to begin with. Still, I highly doubt everyone can get a free upgrade, and most will be stuck on a crummy little room like the one we had initially. Läs mer

The hotel location is perfect for visiting Madrid as it is centrally located with walking distance to everything, shops, plazas, important land marks. The room is comfortable and modern. The front desk is very helpful with assistance to print-out flight tickets. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is walking distance to museums, royal palace, and mayor plazas in Madrid. All of the employees are courteous and helpfull. I will return.

charming hotel with lots of history. Rooms were quite small, my husband and I tripped over each other. Great location close to nice restaurants and the subway. We had issues with controlling the heat in our room, but overall a great experience.

I really liked this hotel, especially for the price. It was very conveniently located, though hard for the taxi to find, and it was very charming. The room was reasonably spacious and well appointed. The staff was quite helpful. The walls are a little thin and the elevators slightly dodge-y, but otherwise it was a delight.

My husband and I needed a convenient place to stay in Madrid while sightseeing and Hotel Intur San Palacio was perfect. The room was small, but had a nice terrace with a view of a church and was clean. The location was perfect...within walking distance to the Gran Via and Plaza Mayor. Loved the hotel. Good central location and the staff are very friendly. Excellent value for the money and lots of charm. Old school elevator in the middle in a beautiful glass enclosure. We had a corner room overlooking the square on the second floor and it was super quiet. Def. would recommend this to anyone in Madrid.

Truly palatial setting, worthy of Spain's Parador system. Next door is a must-see convent (get reservations first thing), and not far from the Gran Via, Plz del Sol and Plz Mayor. Not a bad walk to museums. Note that it is not terribly convenient to Metro, and no easy taxi stop in front of the hotel. Free internet here. I didn't try the breakfast/restaurant. […] There are a gazillion (tapas-style) bars/restaurants in the neighborhood. If you enjoy the nightly paseo, you're right in the thick of things. Läs mer

The hotel was perfect in all categories. It seemed like it had been recently re-done. The room and bathroom were beautiful. The location was great for viewing the best parts of Madrid. Service at the hotel was very helpful. While we were on the metro on our way to the hotel, my husband was pickpocketed (wallet was in his front pocket). For the price spent, it is a very complete hotel. Clean, friendly staff, free internet that WORKS, unbeatable location (close to restaurants, shops and metro station). I wouldn't think twice to stay here next time I am in Madrid!

Well located in historic Madrid, within walking distance of most tourist sites, shopping and food dispensories (restaurants and tapas). Quite, adequately spacious rooms (especially the bathroom). We will return again (and have booked accordingly).

This hotel was just about perfect-great location, clean, quiet, comfortable and really pretty. The room was large by European standards, nice bathroom and good service. The staff was friendly and helpful. Located close to the palace and the Prada-really a great hotel!

We stayed at Palacio San Martin for 3 nights. We must give it our top rating for the comfort of the rooms, helpful staff and location. Our rooms were facing the interior court and therefore very quite. The staff speaks English well and are great at helping out with suggestions about the area. The hotel is located near all the top cultural, social and […] architectural sites. One sour note: we ordered room service and the food was below standard by all means. My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Hotel Intur Palacio San Martin in early July and loved the location and quality of the hotel and service. The only issue we had was that the building next door was doing some construction from 7:30am until 6pm. Unfortunately, our room was connected to that building with a common wall so the first morning was tough. […] Once we brought the issue up with the front desk they moved us to a better room immediately. Shortly after moving there was a knock on our door and when we oppened it one of the staff was there with a fruit basket to apologize for the noise and inconvenience...very nice on thier part! The location was excellent, very close to the Plaza del Sol (without being too close), the Plaza Mayor and great access to transportation (2 metro stations within 3 blocks). Läs mer

Good aspects: central location, an easy walk to many of the important sites and the Metro stations. Just a quick walk from Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. Nice shower with strong spray. Improvements: the hotel itself is a liitle old: wallpaper on walls pealing, old furnishings, mattress not very comfortable, felt old. I would recommend this hotel if you are not looking for "upscale" hotel. It was functional, clean and safe. I might try somewhere else if going back to Madrid, although that's not likely as I found it old, dirty, noisey although did think the Royal Palace was cool. We booked a hotel for Madrid, so when we arrived, jet-lagged, and disoriented, we had a place to go. It was GREAT. This hotel is in a perfect location. A quiet square, just steps from all the action. Our room overlooked the monastery next door- they are quiet neighbors and a very worthwhile tour if you are interested. It is a lovely hotel, classic, […] comfortable, and friendly. They have a bar, and we got coffee one morning and cocktails one evening, but otherwise you'll be going out for food. We never spent time in the lobby, although it looked quite nice-- chairs, newspapers and light. This hotel was more than I could have asked for. Everyone was very accomodating, especially since I speak very little Spanish. The breakfast each morning was superb! Close to everything! Very safe area. Made my trip extremely enjoyable!

A great location close to all the tourist attractions in Old Madrid but in a small plaza which makes it a little quieter than most hotels in the area. Our room was a bit dark and dingy but we could put up with that for only a two night stay.

a completely fine experience, my only complaint being the size of the room which was a tighter fit than I feel comfortable with but it had a lovely view. on the last night the air conditioning didn't work in our room. they couldn't fix it in a timely way and so they didn't charge us for the room! nice.

We loved this hotel. The location was great--a short walk from the Plaza Mayor, the Opera Plaza, the Royal Palace, las Descalzadas, the Puerta del Sol. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the Plaza San Martin, a cute quiet little square with a sidewalk cafe that closed by 11 pm. Plaza St Martin is close to 3 metro stops and within walking distance of the Plaza Mayor, the Palace and the Cathedral. The hotel is older, but very well maintained. Very quiet, elegant with premium linens and excellent internet. Great accommodations.

We were looking for a central, comfortable, quiet get away to explore Madrid and we found it! The breakfast buffet was beautiful, the setting lovely and the staff curteous and helpful. Worth the price.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Madrid. Closeby to both the old Madrid as well as the cool barrios of Malasaña and Chueca.

If you're looking for a mid-priced hotel within walking distance of the Prado, the Reina Sofia, the Thyssen Bornimisza, good shopping etc., this is the place for you. The hotel is just far enough away from everything to be quiet, but close enough to walk. Great experience.

The hotel is in a great position close to three metro stations and in the centre of the historic district. We had a room facing the side street with a Juliet balcony which was lovely. Bedroom was well appointed with a very large and comfortable bed. Bathroom was not large but perfectly acceptable and spotlessly clean. The Palacio San Martin sits on a beautiful, quiet plaza right in the heart of Madrid--- a short walk to most of the tourist sights. There are several pedestrian-only streets nearby, and it's just a short walk to two Metro stations. Restaurants and bars abound (it is Madrid after all). The hotel is beautiful inside and out. ntur Palacio San Martin is a beautiful hotel, which is centrally located in the heart of Madrid. It is walking distance from the Metro Station(Opera) as well. The only drawback is that it is located next to a church which rang its bell 45 times at 6:30 am. Other than that, it was clean, fairly spacious for a European hotel and the staff spoke English […] fluently.
