Den var väldigt bra. Rummen var fräscha med en ny modern stil. Belysningen på hotellet etc. var mysigt. Hotell personalen kunde chockerande bra engelska (om man jämför med övriga spanjorer i Madrid). Det var lätt å ta sig till flygplatsen från hotellet med kollektivtrafik enbart 3£ per person, eller en taxi för 30£. Busshållplats som tar dig på mindre än 5min till Real Madrids Arean eller Centrum låg ungerfär 15m bort. Närmaste tunnelbana låg ungefär 2 min gångavstånd, vilket är ej farligt. På andra sidan vägen ligger stort shoppingcentrum, och nära till Hardrock och Starbucks (200 resp. 15 m!). Hade bra wifi på rummet samt möjlighet till deras dator både i rum och i lobbyn. Så hotellet i sig var väldigt bra, testade däremot inte resturangen/frukost men room service var billig och bra! :) .. Rekommenderat hotell för sina pengar och sitt läge!

Visste att vi valt et område en bit från centrum, men metro och reinfen transporter fanns nära. Inte dyrt att ta taxi från Gran Via. Konstmuseum inom gångavstånd. De flesta av personalen var väldigt vänliga, alla kunde bra engelska. Frukostbuffén var mycket bra och restaurangens mat var också väldigt bra. Dock var det väldigt lyhört på rummet och man kunde höra vad grannarna pratade om. Det fanns inte direkt något matställe precis i kvarteret. Men ca en kvarts promenad ifrån fanns det många ställen att välja på

Perfekt avstånd från Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, goda förbindelser med tunnelbanan till centrum, direkt tunnelbana till Plaza De Espana. Frukost ingår INTE. Detta framgår inte direkt på informationen om hotellet.

Topphotell nära både tunnelbana och många sevärdheter. Rummen är rena, stora, badrummet superbra och sängarna hur sköna som helst. Be om ett rum mot bakgården om du vill ha lugn och ro.

Hotel Liabeny has a very good location,as it is very near to many must see attraction in Madrid.Also,the train stations are very near which facilitates your getting to other nearby attactions.The overall hotel infrastructure was acceptable,and the rooms were a bit small but comfortable.This however should not be a problem since you are usually out of […] the room for a great part of the day .The only drawbacks I have is that the beds are quite hard and the pillows very soft.Also since it is near some popular plazas,late at night it is sometimes a challenge to go to sleep because people stay up partying and make a lot of noise. "Close to amazing sights in Madrid"
Hotel Liabeny was chosen for its location to the amazing sights in Madrid. Everything is convenient and well kept. Our room was right above the front entrance and could hear the sliding door all night. Ask for a room higher up or away from Room 121. Nice breakfast.
"Loud and hot"
This hotel turned off the air conditioning when it was still too hot outside. Opening the window was not a good option because the neighborhood was very loud at night.

Located near the Grand Via and about 200 yards from the Puerta del Sol, the Hotel Liabeny was a good choice as a place for me to stay for a week. However don't use the glasses in the room to drink from because the maid service cleans them with some type of chemical.

Well maintained, nice sized room, well located to all central city activities. Concierge helpful and front desk efficient. We would highly recommend this lovely hotel. 15 minute walk to the Prado, city park, et al. Even closer to the Gran Via, retaurants, etc.

The hotel is within 2 easy walking blocks of Puerta del Sol and safe location. Many restaurant options and close to the Metro and Hop on/Hop off bus. Arrived early and were given early checkin. Concierege was very helpful.

Could hardly be more centrally located. A very nice 4 star hotel. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast is extra for 15 Euro per person though you get your money's worth.

This is the perfect location if you want to walk all around the heart of old Madrid. The buffet breakfast was the best, with a wide variety of traditional and European offerings. A main Metro stop, Sol, is close by as well as the stop Gran Via. The only drawnback is the neighborhood to the left, when stepping out the hotel. Walkable to Plaza Mayor, Palace Real, Crystal Palace as well as Mureo Prado. Clean and friendly staff and a great breakfast buffet and a reasonable price. Would highly recommend for a couple of day stay in Madrid.

This is just a hop skip and a jump from plaza sol. We were traveling with a 1 year old and they brought us a crib right away. It wasn't far to walk to all the major sites and the Madrid Metro was super easy for us to navigate from the airport. It was well worth not spending 30 Euro on a taxi and not having a car seat. "Nice hotel and great location"
The hotel was a lot nicer than I thought it would be. The room was clean and the service was excellent. The hotel is in a very centrally located area, walking distance to many sites. There is also a metro station nearby. The hotel is very quiet even though there is a main, very busy street nearby. I highly recommend it.

Excellent location in the middle of the Gran Via. I would have given 5's across the board, but the carpet was a little worn in the bedroom and hallways so I marked it down but all in all, it was a great stay!

Everything was satisfactory except one front desk attendant. I don't know if she was just having a really bad week or what, but she was extremely rude each time I talked to her and made me feel incredibly small and dumb. "hotel liabeny"
Centrally located. Friendly staff. Very good restaurant and cafe. Not a modern hotel but everything is well maintained and has character in keeping with madrid. Rooms were quite large and beds comfortable. Only complaint was a bit of noise carried trhough rooms.
"Single rooms"
Be very careful if you are given a single room. They tend to be small and noisy (Being next to the lift.) The reception staff obviously know this but adopt a couldn't care less attitude. I certainly wont stay again.

"Almost no complains"
There are no major complaints, we really enjoyed our stay. The only downer were the smoker's rooms we got on our first night (no other rooms were free) which made it necessary to change rooms on the following morning. We had booked non-smoker's via Internet and at the reception they told us that we should have stated that again before arrival.

This hotel was very clean, in the heart of the city, quiet and very efficient. There was a problem with a wiggly toilet in my room when I arrived. I notified the front desk, immediately they moved me to a new room and had the concierge and housekeeping notified. Within minutes someone was there to look at the problem. what's great with it is the location, really central. if you do not mind about the rooms and your focus is to be as central as possible it is a very good hotel. but if you're looking also to the quality of the accommodation, it is a rather late 80s type of hotel in terms of rooms design and functionalities. they gave me a room which had the windows […] towards a darkened interior yard. basically all i cloud see watching out the window were the windows of the other rooms facing this small dark yard. Hotel was clean and in a great location. It was close to lots of shopping, restaurants, etc and easy access to public transportation. We were in a first floor room and were a little concerned about noise. We were there during the work week and had no problems with noise...but it may be different on a weekend. Check-in staff did not offer too much […] information but when asked specific questions, they were able to help. Unfortunately I don't speak Spanish but staff were able to speak English rather well. "Excellent value in an Excellent Location"
I recommend the Hotel Liabeny. It is centrally located in Madrid, in a major shopping area and next to the Plaza de Carmen. It is halfway between Gran Via (the Broadway of Madrid) and the Puerto de Sol (the Times Square of Madrid), each about one block away. This also puts it close to the Sol and Gran Via Metro (subway) stations. There is also abundant […] shopping on the nearby funky Calle de Fuerencal, on the other side of Gran Via. The lobby staff are attentive and considerate, with at least one desk member (concierge or reception) fluent in English. The lobby, restaurant and room all well-kept and clean. There is a large comfortable sitting area just off the lobby. The room itself was well-appointed and spacious. There is a stocked minibar, bathroom with hair dryer and tub-shower with additional body spraying wand. There is a safe, plenty of drawers and cupboards, free Wifi, combination Internet-TV, A/C, a love seat and a double bed. Turn-down service was given every night. Lighting was ample. The restaurant was and coffee shop were both well-appointed. I only went to the coffee shop which serves traditional Spanish desserts for breakfast as well as Italian coffees. The hotel had ample security staff with doors locked around midnight. My taxi driver found it easily (from the airport)and taxis are usually waiting outside the front door if needed. I did not check to see if there was a fitness center. I do not think the hotel had a pool. Perhaps the only drawback was the faint noise from Plaza de Carmen in the wee hours of the morning. The Plaza has at least one night club, open every night, and Spaniards like to stay up late! Easy walking distance to most attractions you will find in the usual travel guides (Frommers, Fodor, Lonely Planet). I did prefer to take the Metro to the upscale shopping on Calle de Serrano and Calle de Velaquez in Salamanca, but you can walk to it. The Hotels.com promotions I received made the room a steal! Hotel Liabeny is close to everything in the center of Madrid.The best part is that it is quiet but just one block from the nightlife,shopping and fabulous restaurants.Staff was helpful and professional.Even my spanish family was impressed! I will stay there next time

We enjoyed our stay at Liabeny. The room was cleaned twice daily, and the staff was on top of all issues. The location is great and the room was well appointed. The bed was not as soft as i like but that is a personal thing. "Hotel Liabeny is a must if staying in Madrid"
Loved everything about the hotel with one exception, in the morning you could hear people moving and making noise in the hallway. This was not enough of a deterrent to rate this hotel less than a 5. The location was the best, staff helpful, room clean and up to date. Choose this hotel if you can
Be vigilant! Do not follow the instructions on the "how to access the internet" card in your room if your reservation includes free wireless, because they will charge you for following their instructions. Overall, a clean, safe, comfortable hotel.

I just stayed 3 nights at Hotel Liabeny with 39 high school students and 5 teacher chaperones. The staff could not have been nicer to us. From the front desk to the wait staff in the cafeteria, they went out of their way to be helpful, kind, and patient. They even complimented the kids on their behavior and Spanish. The rooms were small, but spotless. […] Great service, including bed turn down, and the lobby area was quite elegant. The location couldn't be better - close to the Puerta del Sol, Gran Via, and Plaza Mayor, but on a quiet street. The free WiFi was a plus, too. We had very happy teenagers. The breakfast buffet was a bit pricey at 15 euros, but the food was fabulous - eggs, meats, pastries, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt. We plan to return to Hotel Liabeny next year. Läs mer
