Very close to the U-Bahn (metro) , right opposite one of Wien's many galleries, just 2 mins from the Nuesmarkt where there is a great selection of food stores & indoor/outdoor eateries/wine bars, and a few mins walk from the Opera, its in a very good spot for getting around. Everything within easy reach either walking or by U-Bahn. The hotel itself […] is fairly simple but well maintained. The staff took note of my room requests and took trouble to allocate a room that was quietly situated ( overlooking courtyard not busy road). It was spacious and very comfortable. Windows that opened and a good air con system.Breakfast room is light and airy with an excellent buffet : hot/cold/cakes/breads etc. Altogether a good place to stay & relative to the very high cost of hotels in Vienna this seemed good value. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very clean and quiet. In the heart of everything Vienna with at most about a 15 minute walk to any and everything you want to see. Hotel staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly with any requests or questions we had. If we ever get to go back to Vienna, will want to stay here again.

We traveled as 2 couples together and found this small hotel to be acceptable. The main plus is its good location (by 2 main shopping streets and the delightful Naschtmarket with several restaurants around). The size of the rooms is totally random. We booked 2 rooms and got one of a nice size, with a sitting table and 3 chairs and the other that could […] barely fit 2 people. The small room had a larger bathroom than the large room. When we took showers, water was spilling out on the floor and we had to clean it. Beds were fairly comfortable and rooms were generally clean. Staff was kind and helpful. We did not use the breakfast room as the hotel does not have a restaurant. Some mornings we had coffee/tea in the larger room as the smaller room had a coffee maker and coffee that was not that good. It would be nice if this hotel had more than 1 computer available in the lobby. While the hotel is acceptable, overall, the smaller room was somewhat disappointing (even if we expressly asked for larger rooms as we read on tripadvisor that rooms sizes are hit and miss). The hotel is adjacent to the nachtmarkt which has some great restaurants. The staff we very helpful and recommended several excellent restaurants as well.

The hotel was not what we expected at all. The rooms were tiny and the beds the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. The heating did not work properly. we paid extra to upgrade to a bigger room. The only good thing was the location, close to markets and not far to walk to the shopping and opera

The location of the hotel is really good, but it is not worth 4 stars! The room furnitures are quite old, and the wifi did not work in the room! The staff were friendly by the way!

We chose the Mercure for its location, mainly, balanced with the cost. It was easy to get to, comfortable to stay at, and had front desk staff that were helpful (especially since we arrived early in the morning and needed to keep our bags there until check-in later).

Hotel was in a good location, but it was a little run down. Europe definitely has a different standard for the star ratings than in the USA. I recommend the hotel to travelers that are looking for a lower priced hotel in a good location. Experience was fine, just not great.

This hotel has all the usual amenities you expect of a 4-star hotel, but the price we paid was amazingly good, especially given its location - just down the street from the Naschmarkt, across the road from a lift access to a major underground station, and less than 20 minutes' walk from the Stephansplatz. The room was huge compared with what we've been […] used to getting for the same money, everything was clean and in good repair, and the staff were unfailingly helpful and spoke really excellent English. My one real complaint was about the air-conditioning, which seemed to be stuck on 24 degrees however we tried to adjust it. It also didn't extend to the bathroom, which stayed quite hot all day and most of the night and needed a window open to clear the steam from the shower. The shower-bath arrangement, though good-sized, was really better suited to bathing than showering, and people who are unsteady on their feet or prone to tripping might do well to treat it with a little caution. The one extra I would have appreciated in the room is some kind of guide to good medium-priced restaurants in the immediate vicinity. There must be some, but in 3 days we didn't find any worth writing about, and the Naschmarkt, though an excellent produce market and fantastic for breakfast, is a bit of a disappointment when it comes to sit-down dining - mostly either touristy South-German staples or uninspired Europeanised versions of various Asian cuisines. On the other hand, the little bar in the hotel serves some good wines and Schnapps at good prices, and the one time we tried the hotel breakfast it looked like you would get quite good value for the money if you were hungry. Great staff who helped with anything and everything from booking restaurants and taxis to assistance with the free computer. Stayed 4 nights in mid May and it was just what we wanted and hoped for.

After 7 nites aboard a ship cruising the Danube from Nuremberg our hotel room seemed so spacious & comfy! The bathroom heater over the door made it nice and toasty but the shower was cramped (like on the cruise ship) even though there was plenty of room (unlike on the cruise ship) to have made it larger. We loved the location: we could see the gold […] ball atop the Secession building across the street from our room window; walk right out the front door and you're at the south end of the Naschmarkt in a minute or 2 - a place full of shops and restaurants kinda like Seattle's Pike Place market; walk left about 10 minutes and you're at the Museum quarter. 2 nites in Vienna is not nearly enough and we will certainly consider the Mecure Secesssion upon return. Localização não poderia ser melhor. O quarto em si não é ruim, mas o banheiro... Quando se toma banho, é impossível evitar que o banheiro vire uma verdadeira lagoa, a ponto de molhar o tapete do quarto. A recepção nada podia fazer para resolver o problema. Não volto infelizmente.

Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage und das zu einem fairen Preis. Auf Schnick-Schnack, wie Wellness, wird komplett verzichtet. Es wirkt schon etwas älter und ist sehr zweckmässig aufgebaut. Für einen Kurz-Tripp aber absolut ausreichend.

Для путешественников, предпочитающих познавать город "ногами", т.е. не на машине или в тургруппе, это самый удобный по расположению и доступности отель. Персонал внимательный, готовый ответить на любые вопросы. Отель полностью соответствует категории 4 зв., хотя, на мой взгляд, как и другие отели города, слишком дорог для этой категории.

Отель очень удобно расположен. До Венской оперы 10 мин. спокойной ходьбы. Уютнно, чисто, доброжелательный персонал(есть русскоязычный). Номер убирают каждый день, очень качественно. В трех мин. от отеля рынок, супермаркет и метро. Нам отель очень понравился. Единственно, не было российского канала ТВ. А вообщем на 4+.

Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal für sämtliche Besichtigungen (sowohl zu Fuß als auch mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln). Der Standard des Hotels entspricht voll und ganz 4 Sternen, wir steigen fast jedesmal dort ab, wenn wir in Wien sind.

Ottima posizione centralissima. Stanza con arredamento "old fashion"' funzionale e comoda. La mia aveva addirittura una stanza in piú con cucina. Bagno sufficientemente comodo e pulito. Colazione varia e abbondante. Decisamente consigliato

Vi er et dansk par på 50 og 51år. Vi tog en forlænget week-end i Wien September 2012, og boede på hotellet i 5 dage. Værelset var dejlig stort med lille tekøkken og pænt badeværelse. Betjeningen var høflig. Det var både muligt at få kufferten opbevaret på ankomstdagen og på afrejsedagen. Hotellet ligger tæt på de fleste museer og på hovedstrøget. A escolha deste hotel foi em razão da sua localização. Está bem próximo do Complexo Hofburg e das demais atracões do centro de Viena. Também está a poucos metros de uma estação de metrô. As instalações são simples, mas atenderam nossa expectativa em relação ao valor da diária. Quarto muito espaçoso, o que nos deu maior conforto.

Leider ging bei unserem Kurzaufenthalt (3 Nächte)einiges schief. Das Personal war stets sehr freundlich und bemüht alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit zu richten, nur gab es täglich organisatorische Probleme.Bei der Ankunft stellten wir im Zimmer fest, dass die Badezimmertür nicht schließt und entdeckten ein benutztes Handtuch vom Vorgänger. Reinigungskraft […] und Handwerker kamen unverzüglich.Wir wechselten dann das Zimmer, da die Tür nicht zu reparieren war. Im zweiten Zimmer entdeckten wir dann abschnittene Finger- und Fussnägel im Bad! An Tag zwei vergaß man komplett unser Zimmer zu putzen und man hatte einen Herren auch auf unser Zimmer gebucht. Dieser war schon auf dem Weg in sein bzw. unser Zimmer und hektisch wurden wir telefonisch darüber informiert, um ca. 23.30Uhr! Man hatte vergessen uns auf das andere Zimmer umzubuchen. Am 3. Tag funktionierten lediglich unsere Karten nicht. Insgesamt bleibt zu sagen: die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend! Die Mitarbeiter sehr sehr freundlich - aber das reicht nicht aus, wenn man seinen Job nicht vernünftig macht!Schade, Wien ist sicher nochmal eine Reise wert, aber nicht in diesem Hotel. Hotellrommet er bra, gratis Internet, men jeg fikk røyker rom. Og som ikke røker er det xxx ikke bra, de hadde ikke ledige "ikke" røyker rom men jeg fikk velge mellom 3 rom der det var minst lukt valgte jeg. Om rådet rundt er helt supert med drøssevis av kafe/ resturanger rundt samt mange Museer.

Ottima posizione centrale per raggiungere il centro di Vienna a piedi in 10 minuti. Camere molto confortevoli e silenziose. Parcheggio coperto un po' caro (19 euro al giorno) e con posti limitati; consigliabile la prenotazione. Non conviene la camera con la colazione, in quanto nelle vicinanze ci sono bar e pasticcerie.

Sehr zentrale Lage, wie von uns gewünscht. Museen und Stadtzentrum und auch Belvedere alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Der gewaltige Verkehr stört bei geschlossenem Fenster nicht und nachts ist eh Ruhe. Personal sehr freundlich. Für Städtetour ist das Hotel aus unserer Sicht unbedingt zu empfehlen.

Das Zimmer und das Bad sind sehr groß und sauber! Das Bad hat Fußbodenheizung und war ein bisschen zu warm. Das Hotel hat sehr freundliches Personal und punktet durch eine tolle Lage. Man kommt in ca. 10 Gehminuten in die Stadtmitte! In der Nähe befindet sich ein Supermarkt!

Hotel liegt gut beim Wiener Zentrum an einer stark befahrenen Strasse. Erreichbarkeit ist sehr gut. Hotel ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, im großen und ganzen aber ok. dem Wunsch das Zimmer zu wechseln da dieses nicht sauber war konnte nicht nachgekommen werden (trotz freier Zimmer) angeblich aufgrund der EDV..(?) Aufgrund dieser schlechten seviceleistung […] und des schmutzigen Bades kann ich das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen. Läs mer
