clean, great breakfast---would go again
It was a supwer fast check in, great breakfast, parking fine and the room very quiet. Will recomend to others, price a bit high, though.

The efficient and courteous check in was the nicest part of our one night stay. Pubic hair on the toilet roll, stained towels and facecloths. Empty vending machines. Overall grubby. Would not recommend.
"Fine Property in Isolated Location"
Nice property that is well maintained and pet friendly. Breakfast was more than adequate but finding food outside of hotel for other meals was grim. Choice within short drive of location were pizza buffet, Chinese take-out with a few tables for dine-in and Japanese. That was it. Alternative is to keep driving and eat in Martinsburg. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was very substantial and well stocked. We especially appreciated the pet friendly atmosphere.

The hotel was fine and clean and the owners seemed to be friendly. However, the hotel advertises that there is a business center, and this really isn't true. There is one very old PC and a tiny inkjet printer in the lobby and they are very slow. Also, Microsoft Word or another word processing program are not installed on the computer so you can't open […] work documents anyway. "Brothers Wedding"
My stay here was great for what I needed. It was a little further away from where I needed to be but that was my fault. It was a very quiet place. My daughter slept great. Breakfast really hit the spot.. If I were to visit WVA again I would stay here.
I booked this hotel because i was doing some work in Martinsburg. However, the hotel is not in Martinsburg but 9 miles north of Martinsburg in the middle of no where. What ever address is listed in the booking section is misleading.

This hotel was perfect for the reason we needed a hotel. We were evacuated from our home because of the hurricane and this hotel was far enough away and would except our dog. It's hard to find nice hotels that are dog friendly. There many places for shopping and food about 7 miles away. And a walmart right around the corner. "No AC."
The weather had been in the high 90s all day. When we got to our room the AC was OFF. It took two hours to get the room comfortable. The man at the desk could not speak English very well and it was hard to communicate. The hotel was not in a good area to find food for dinner.

We recently returned from a road trip of 3,800 miles. Along the way, we stayed at numerous hotels/motels. A few stand out, among them Holiday Inn, for their location and their consistent service and cleanliness.

"Great Place to Stay!"
The breakfast was spectacular! Toast, bagels, eggs, SOS, sausage and bacon, cereal, etc. World Class! Newspapers every day, great desk personnel, nice rooms and linens; We will definitely stay here again.
"Reasonable for the price"
An older building, refurbished but still showing its age, with attention to cosmetic details in elevator, hallways, public areas needed. The mattress on my bed was for me uncomfortably soft.

I have stayed at this hotel 5 times in the past 2 years, and each time has been a great experiance. The staff is very friendly and willing to help in any way to make sure your stay is pleasent. the location is next to I-81, with shoppingfuel, and food only moments away. The hallways reeked of smoke. and the TV was way outdated. And it was pricely for what you got.
"RIDICULOUSLY comfy bed!"
Only stay in this hotel if you like easy access off 81, close "quick" conveniences (gas stations, 24 hr. walmar, McDs) and the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on. Hotel was clean, breakfast was acceptable (carb heavy, weak coffee) and there was a little fridge, microwave, coffeemaker and hairdryer in the room--great for business folk and pleasure […] travelers. Free wi-fi is a plus. Bringing our little "prince" (10 lb dog) was no problem (extra fee) and we had quick access to grassy area via back door which was across from our room. The hotel was quiet but there weren't many guests even though it was Tgiving weekend. Staying in the back rooms is preferable since you could hear the muffled rumble of trucks going by. Booked through hotels.com and they cheerfully adjusted the already low rate when I saw it was lower. THE ONLY CON: even though our room was non-smoking and smelled fresh, the hallway absolutely REEKED of cig. smoke, which was awful to have to walk through enroute to room. Also the bathroom kinda smelled of smoke too (since it was close to the hallway). BIG downer. Just make the entire property non-smoking already, because that smoke carries and it STINKS! Läs mer

One soda machine did not accept cash due to malfunction; another soda machine sold out; The good news....the breakfast was very nice and the room was very comfortable. The king sized bed was great.

Clean, quiet, courteous staff
"Appears new and convenient for travelers"
Hotel was easy to access right off of highway. It appears to be a fairly new hotel. Everything looked new and clean. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was diappointing. Juice and coffee were definitely watered down. Would stay again, but only if that was the best I could do (price, location needed etc.)
"smoking rooms"
We had a non smoking room, however, beware... the smoking rooms are at the end of the hallway at the elevators... you will have to walk through the smokey hallway on the way to your non-smoking room. For people with asthma, this would have been a problem. Other than that we had a terrific stay... thanks Holiday Inn Express...

Very nice. I was traveling to West Virginia and stayed here for the night. The air conditioner wasn't working in the room I was given, (summer) so I called the front desk and the gentleman said he would be right up with a key for another room. "swimming pool"
They had a nice outdoor pool but it was closed for some reason.
Fine for a one night stay on the way to the casinos in WV.
this is the first hotel I've stayed in that offered me a cold bottle of water when I checked in at no charge. Nice customer service.
"Staff Makes It Flow"
This is really your average "express" business stay or overnight hotel. The breakfast in the morning is a nice extra. The room ( single King) was large and clean. The shower was nice with plenty of hot water. The staff was absolutely great, from front desk to cleaning. They were pleasant, helpful ( great restuarant recommendation) . This place is right […] off the highway ( Interstate 81) so it is easy to get ina nd out and around the whole area. Went specifically for biking access to C& O Canal, this was a good location for that. They let us stow the bikes in the laundry room. Certainly didn't have to accomodate us on that. Läs mer

"Convenient Location - Close to 81"
Staff was professional and courteous to our family. Our room was clean and comfortable, with all expected amenities. Hotel was conveniently located to service stations, shopping, and Interstate 81. Breakfast was modest but adequate. We would stay here again next time we're in town, and also recommend this hotel to family and friends.

"very nice place to stay"
We stayed for three nights and it was great. The morning breakfast was really good with a good selection of food. The room was comfortable and nice. The pool was a little cool for July.

"beautiful accommodations"
The room was beautiful, the pool was great for our family to enjoy, the bed was soooooo comfortable, the housekeeping staff very nice. We loved it and the price was awesome. Also, we could close the curtains, unlike another person's review.
